The venue is classic, warm, inviting, and very intimate!
We went to see the Nutcracker. The show was pretty good. I loved the dancers and their props were amazing. We ordered popcorn and a fountain drink. We paid $6 for the popcorn and they didn't have any butter we could put on it and it was clearly burnt. We just threw it away. The soda was $5 for a small sized cup and they wouldn't refill the soda. They also have candy available which would be a safer bet if you need a snack during your show.
Breathtaking, historic theater in the heart of Atlanta
I watched the CS:GO major here and two shows on seperate occasions, the seating is comfortable and most seats give a clear view over the the person ahead of you. Food is expensive but that's to be expected. More food choices for a more refined palette would be nice but otherwise, good.
Beautiful interior to this in-town theater. Seeing a show here is always a fun event, even the summer movies
Beautiful facility. A true staple in the arts community nationally as well as with the city of Atlanta. A true local treasure that had housed various famous and classic plays and music events of the years. People from near and far have come to the Fox for their favorite shows, performances and artist.
Very beautiful place. Seating was ok up top, and still able to see everyone on stage.
This Theater is a straight classic. The architecture is well designed and the stage is great! The family loved our time!!!
Beautiful theater! In need of more restroom facilities to accommodate crowds.
Classy place to take in a play or mid sized concert.
Love the way it look and it been there all these years you have to go see if you in Atlanta!!!!
Beautiful theatre. The performances here are always spectacular. It is very organized and have many bathrooms and concession stands. The only issue is the pricing! But that is to be expected.
Wish i could give zero stars! Worst experience ever upon arrival they are rude telling you to hurry up getting out of your car I had a one year old and you dont allow free parking or dropoff inside your parking area atleast allow me to safely get out of the car in the road! The show cost me $82 becauss they charge $13.50 for my child to sit on my lap are you serious even the airlines doesnt charge for a lap seat what makes the fox theatre so special is it the fact their performances times are a total lie? The Paw patrol show was supposed to be 2 hours it ended 30 mins early plus an intercession break pf 15 mons so i spent $82 for my child to watch a 1 hr 15 min performance inwhich she couldnt even hear the actors as some of the characters microphones were to low to hear over the music. I called to request a refund as they also didnt seat me where I had paid to sit and they had an attitude and said they dont do any refunds well guess what I will never return and do any business with you nor recommend anyone else to. Also after the performance i was taking pictures with my child and they told me I had to leave that once the show is over everyone needs to be out of the theatre. Glad I didnt waste an additional $100 by purchasing backstage passes.
Great and spacious venue. Extremely spacious with a "grand" feeling.
Superb venue. Exquisite set for the great and wonderful Greta Van Fleet! Awesome place!
Good security measures, uncomfortable seating setup
Very good venue & there's not 1 bad seat in the building
Adults will marvel at this amazing piece of architecture and children will delight in the twinkling stars in the sky. Great viewing from almost all seats and parking is not a problem.
The theater is beautiful but the chair are a tad uncomfortable.
Rent is a great production. This particular cast was lacking, still a good time
Beautiful venue. But the seats set up is really steep.
Classic location. Beautiful theater. Don't sleep on great seats in the balcony.
The rest room and theater was clean, and i enjoy the show it was funny.
It's a beautiful historic structure. The architecture is amazing.
Great venue as usual. Can't be beat for plays and music.
Love the Fox! So beautiful! Went tonight to see Alvin Ailey dance Troup... Superb. The dancers are so beautiful they look like dessert! My only complaint about The Fox is that you must go down a lot of stairs to get to the bathroom, and my knees don't like stairs. Tonight I learned a SECRET.... If you ask, there are disability accessible bathrooms right off the lobby....Divine!
The Fox truly is fabulous! It's a beautiful building as well as one of the best places in Atlanta for theatre and music!
Such a beautiful venue! It always feels like an honor coming here.
Attended an Alvin Ailey Performance here...I don't think they were prepared for the extremely large crowd. The wait was ridiculous.
Took the tour . Learned so much history of the theater. Absolutely beautiful. A must do when in Atlanta
Always love seeing a show here, even in the upstairs, back seat,g, still a great view!
First visit for Tyler Perry's farewell tour. Love the facility and the staff was on point. Will go again someday.
Historic place. It's been around before I was a kid, and I hope it's there in perpetuity.
Now you have to walk through metal detectors to enter. The problem with this is that there are NO armed guards in the theater to protect the audience. Disarming the audience makes the theater responsible for the audience and their safety, but the theater provides none. This will be an issue if anything should ever happen at the Fox. Gun free zones like this only apply to those who follow the rules. If anyone were to break in a flimsy door during a show no one inside could defend themself or their family. These liberal policies get people killed. Especially when they are poorly thought out like the Fox has done. They've invested in metal detectors but apparently refuse to invest in proper security. Finally, not only does this policy result in being disarmed inside the theater, it requires that you disarm yourself prior to walking from your dark parking spot in a major city at night as well as the return walk. This subjects those who choose to defend themselves to the crime statistics in Atlanta with no way to defend themself and their family to and from the theater. I won't take my family there any more unless visibility security is provided from parking to the theater and back again. I won't lose a family member due to the Fox and their liberal policy with little to no thought or investment in security beyond disarming the guests.
Nice place but kinda pricey, I recommend buying tickets two or more months in advance because prices seem to get higher as events get closer.
Such a beautiful venue. If you haven't been it's a must.
enjoyed show, love the Fox, seats to small for tall/big people
Beautiful theater, the fact that it has been preserved to its original state and plays old films and shows compensates for its controversial history, the only beautiful building in Atlanta.
They are in desperate need of a renovation. Their sound system is TERRIBLE from the upper seats where we might not have paid as much as the front lower seats, but 200.00+ for two seats, we should be able to hear...The seats are on top of eachother, so much so my hubs had to tell the man sitting next to me to stop leaning on me.
I would have given 1star, but the historic fox (though uncomfortable) is still a beautiful structure to look at.
The whole security process is a bit irritating, but, understand the reason. Love the Fox!!
Enjoyed the concert it's best to take uber or lift parking is scarce. Always a great place to visit
Enjoyed Valentine's Day Celebration for Lovers! Baby Face, Silk, DeBarge and Keith Sweat!
I went to see wicked and it was absolutely incredible
Wonderful seating! Went to see an orchestra and while I was a bit worried that the music would be too loud about 6 rows away, my ear drums didn't burst and it sounded beautiful. The whole place is absolutely gorgeous, nice bathrooms, very dark lighting but it definitely had a theme going for it through out the entire place. Would gladly come back if there was another event I was interested in seeing again.
My daughter send I saw the Madea Farewell Tour at the Fox Theater of Atlanta, which was a decent venue. Although, it was hard to see the stage, from behind the people in front of me, possibly due to the positioning of the seats
The Fox is always a wonderful experience. The decor is iconic and elicits the nostalgia of attending theatre when it was more of an event. Ballet, musicals, plays, concerts, and comedy shows are among the many offerings. Highly recommend!
Saw the 80th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz. Very good, family atmosphere and tickets were cheap

History of The Fox Theatre
The history of The Fox Theatre dates back to 1928 when movie mogul William Fox decided to build an opulent theatre in Atlanta that would rival any other theatre in the country. He hired architect Olivier Vinour from New York City who designed an incredible building that combined elements of Egyptian and Spanish architecture.
When it opened on December 25th 1929 it was considered one of the most magnificent theatres ever built with its ornate decorations including gold leafing throughout the auditorium and lobby areas along with intricate carvings on every surface imaginable.
Over time The Fox became more than just a movie palace; it became a cultural icon for Atlanta residents who enjoyed attending live performances there as well as movies. In fact during World War II soldiers stationed nearby were given free admission so they could enjoy some entertainment while away from home.
In recent years The Fox has undergone extensive renovations which have restored much of its original grandeur while adding modern amenities such as updated sound systems and lighting equipment making it one of America's premier venues for live entertainment today.
