Saw The Lion King. The production was fantastic. The theater was beautiful, but their policies and facilities are unaccommodating. My father is in a powered wheelchair. It was a nightmare getting tickets in the first place, and after we did and got there (wheelchair spot purchased), my father was made to sit in the very rear of the theater because he was A) blocking the isle with his chair (which was not true) and B) folks behind him couldn't see over his headrest.... then no one ever sat in the seats behind him. Instead of offering a partial or full refund, they claimed they'd offer him free or discounted tickets on a future visit, but he's just going to have the same problem. I spent $800 on tickets, hours on the phone trying to purchase them, and then wasn't able to enjoy the show because of the Fox's policies.
I won't be returning to the Fox Theater.

Went for the first time to watch "The Nutcracker". It was very beautiful. We had an argument with a lady who for some reason thought we were trying to get ahead in the line to buy our tickets but it had nothing to do with the staff. I like the fact that they check with scanners to every single person, but apparently they have some kind of issue since they always make noise. They theater is comfortable and prices are fairly good.

David Sedaris was great in this historic theater. Such a pretty venue....makes any performance feel more special. Plenty of staff on hand, security went smoothly and bathrooms were clean. Had a great time.

Amazing experience. Dont be afraid of "cheap seats! The way they are tiered at the top of the gallery, you can see better up top than on the back row of the floor section. Acoustics are amazing. Ushers are very helpful. Seats are smallish, if you are wide in the trunk. :) Maybe it was just the night we were there but there wasnt a whole lot of air and we were very warm. Parking is very easy to get to in yellow or red lot. Pay in advance, easier. You cannot take ANY food or drink and a bottle of water is $5 at concessions.

An outstanding venue, if you have little kids bring a booster seat so they can see the show while sitting in their seat. Loved ambiance of the venue over all great experience for me and my son with my best friend!

Love this theater! It is beautiful inside. They have great shows and concerts. They have a movie series in the summer which is a lot of fun and doesn't cost as much as going to a live show. Try to do a tour of the theater sometime, really interesting. Can't wait for the lounge/bar they are building to open. A tip, there is a concession stand outside the ladies bathroom downstairs (ladies only, I hear there is one on the guys side too), never a line or a very small one.

The Fox Theatre consistently draws quality entertainment to Atlanta. My last experience was "Lion King." All was great, but seats up in the massive balcony ( I was in H section DEN row Q) were so far removed from the spectacle on stage as to great a detached feeling. Prices were high for such seats and I'm afraid not worth that price due to the distance & lack of detail & nuance. Sitting closer to the action, however, really cuts into the inheritance. It's a shame that the experience is removed from regular working people. A solution might be allowing opera glasses to be brought in? Are they permitted?

I took my 8yr old to her very first Alvin Ailey Show... She was more than overjoyed because she had never been inside the Fox Theatre, let alone attended a real Ballet Show. The staff was very welcoming to her and our section was filled with wonderful Mother's and daughters who had been coming there for years, including my mom and sisters Love y'all!!!

I have been going here for 30 years. It s a good venue. It is getting musty and dirtier as the years go on tho. Also the dress code is falling fast. Don t be surprised if you see people in jeans and tee shirts. Like most things around Atlanta, it s best days are in the past.

This is one of those bucket list kind of places. I didn't realize it until I was gifted two tickets to see "Love Never Dies." The play was gorgeous but the venue was equally beautiful. You step out of Atlanta and into some kind of medieval Egyptian / Middle Eastern castle. The hallways are all decorated with Egyptian hieroglyphics but many of the walls and turrets look Middle Eastern. The stage is massive and while we were in seats in the balcony, the view was not lacking and it still felt close even though we were so far away. They have a full bar as well as regular movie theater concessions. Prices weren't as high as I was expecting. All in all, such a great experience!!

This was an amazing experience. We saw the Atlanta Ballet perform The Nutcracker. What a fabulous show! The seating is a bit tight; but very comfortable. Every staff member was polite and eager to assist. The building is nothing less than mesmerizing. I was blown away by the richly ornate design and the entire atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting this fantastic piece of history.

Enjoyed

Fox behind the scenes tour left us unimpressed. I don't think we saw anything that we haven't seen by attending events at the Fox. While the history was interesting, the PBS documentary about the Fox was far more interesting. I'm guessing the success of this tour rests largely on the tour guide and she focused on inane details, alienated the young people in the group, and apologized repeatedly for the stale beer smell (they were cleaning from the 2nd night of Widespread Panic and prepping for New Years Eve 3rd night show). Love the Fox *****, but the "behind the scenes" tour left much to be desired *. So overall ***.

Great venue for shows but if you wish to enjoy refreshments, count on missing a substantial amount of your program. Bring your own water. Concession coordination and traffic management is horrendous!

I love going to performances at the Fox. I really enjoy dressing up and meeting and greeting in the lobby for cocktails...The Fox always feels so Grand and elegant. I'm looking forward to the next event there..
