Aside from the lovely suite we stayed at, we were able to enjoy Fitzwilliam Hotel s amazing breakfast. It was something we needed before we headed out to the city. One more thing, the hotel is just in the middle of the city, specifically at the Great Victoria Street beside Grand Opera House. Thus, it s easy for you to go around and have some DIY tours.

OK listen, it's not a 5* hotel. Had to queue for 20 mins to get a table at breakfast time. Rooms need hoovering. Stains on carpets. Empty Glasses lying around in bar and reception. Service slow. Staff needed to be more attentive. Family room only had a couch bed. Location good but there are many hotels also having such locations. Restaurant food basic. No swimming pool. 5 stars price but 4 star hotel and I'm stretching it at that.

I was at the Fitzwilliam for a family wedding and the very least I can say is that it was perfection. We arrived at about 6:30 which was over 30 minutes before our reservation and the patrons could not have been more accommodating. We were seated in a private area of the lounge which they had set aside just incase we showed up early so the wedding party would have some where away from the rest of the guests. We were told that the dining room was already set and that we were welcome to ask to be seated any time we liked. After about 20 minutes sitting in the lounge the party and I made ourselves up to the function room they had prepared for the wedding dinner. As we looked at the table layout all I could hear were the sounds of surprise and elation from the guests and I will admit that despite my usual ability to notice things that others missed (A dirty fork, a chipped plate, that sort of thing) that even with years of hotel visits under my belt, the fact is that it was perfection. From every place setting to every beautifully crafted napkin presentation, all the way down to the wonderful tableside activities activities to keep the younger guests happy, it truly was perfection. The drinks orders were taken as soon as they could see that everyone was seated comfortably at which point we were told that our 1st drinks orders would be a gift from the hotel manager for the couples special day. I ordered a fantastic variation on the Classic Vesper Martini which was finished with a small dash of vermouth and garnished with a twist of lime peel in place of the classic lemon. One thing I can tell you about this variation on the classic is that it makes the former taste like dishwater in comparison, so much that if I was told this drink was only surved at this one place I would walk over broken glass to get to it. Now to the food. My wife chose to start with a pea and garlic risotto which I was lucky enough to be able to have a little taste and I'm glad I did as it was spectacular. Not that I was disappointed with my own. To start I thought I would catch them out my ordering their "soup of the day" (as I already knew that the day before their sounds the day was Broccoli and Stilton) To my surprise and delight I was not presented with yesterday's broccoli and Silton, but with a potato and leak that was seasoned to perfection and has the consistency of liquid silk. Each spoonful was delicious and thanks to the selection of table breads we were given my bowl was so clean it could have been used again. Now onto the mains. Usually I dread the day I receive a copy of the wedding menu in the post as it is normally; 1 chicken dish, 1 vegetation maybe 2 others that might include a small wrapped pork loin and some kind of fish or squid. Once again I was wrong in the best way possible, the menu was large but not to the point of stupidity and it was variety galore. My wife chose the ballotine of chicken which was both beautifully plated and delicious. Me on the other had I decided to put them to the test my ordering the rib-eye steak. When done right it is the most flavourful, buttery soft, rich and succulent peice of meat you can dream of. When done wrong however it can over sear and become more like eating the bottom of your shoe. After eating the started I knew it was going to be good but when it arrived at the table I found myself unprepared for what was in front of me. Everything about this steak was perfect it was; soft, succulent, well rested, perfectly seasoned, and just the way I ordered it 'medium-rare' (incidentally this is the only way steak should be ordered. If you don't like it this was then don't order steaks!) At this point I already knew the deserts were going to be good and I was not disappointed. My wife and I both had the chocolate brownie with coffee ice cream, and it was spectacular. The whole time we were there from arriving early to staying late into the night, everything was perfect. So much so that I am considering changing my own wedding venue in place of the Fitzwilliam.

Everything was great, except my room had a strong smell of sewer gas. My length of stay was short and the weather was nice so I was able to leave the window open. But I wouldn't expect that for how nice the place was.

Spent last weekend in Belfast for our anniversary, got a great deal for an executive suite and all that goes with a 5 star hotel but the staff went above and beyond what you d expect. Everyone was extremely friendly and took very good care of us. Also shout out to Jim that brought us on the black cab tour.
Thank you so much, we will be back

A very comfortable and well appointed hotel. Rooms are spacious and very nicely furnished, spotlessly clean. Food is excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is very central and the views from the upper floors are spectacular. Thoroughly recommended - 10/10!

Lovely hotel in a very central location. Very friendly and efficient staff. Lots of little details around how the rooms are laid out, decor and how it is run which just sets it ahead of the normal. Would definitely go back.

Really accommodating staff, so friendly. Helped with everything and were able to give local advice on what to see and do. Slept like a baby each night and air-con available in rooms. Brilliant.

I attended an event held at the Fitzwilliam hotel hosted by Rainbow communications. At first entering the hotel I was greeted by a gentleman who was able to inform me where the event was taking place. Upon the 8th floor I was greeted by the smell of fresh Java coffee, and bacon butties! Fabulously filled, and the coffee was beautiful! Hotel was lovely looking g and modern on the inside too! Thanks!

Very comfortable and cosy hotel I loved my stay here. The gym is a bit of a let down for the size of the hotel with only one treadmill, one cross trainer and one bike. All cramped together.

The food is also a let down. I know they have won awards and the residents menu was great value but I just did not enjoy the food at all

Pretty damn flawless place to stay if visiting Belfast. Impressive lobby area with space to work in good surrounds - attentive service in this area too. Room comfortable, modern design and amenities excellent. Restaurant and bar areas great too. Hotel is superbly located in easy reach of good restaurants and exploring locally. Good immediate links to business district if required for work.

I booked the Fitzwilliam for a business trip for 3 nights and was not disappointed. I was very pleasantly surprised and the quality for the price.
I was made very welcome, the room was amazing (standard room)...very spacious, very clean and comfortable, the shower was great - everything I needed and more to work and enjoy. Very good location.
The breakfast was lovely - a lovely variety of fresh fruit and creamy yogurts not to mention the cooked breakfast options - it's the best breakfast I've had
I will definitely stay here again

Not up to five star standard at all. The glasses on the table were all watermarked. When it was pointed out the staff member said I can see that. So my question why leave it until a customer pointed it out.

Food service exceptionally slow despite the fact that we had pre-ordered it still took 30 mins for our starters to come out and a further 15 for our mains. By all means use the beautiful hotel just avoid the restaurant

Wonderful hotel in the center of Belfast City. We stayed there on our anniversary during a trip through Ireland, and they upgraded us to a wonderful corner room which was very nice of them. A short walk to City Hall, Victoria Square mall, and many other sites downtown. Would he ghost recommend.

Excellent hotel could not fault in any way, staff well trained and helpful, Breakfast was extensive and catered for all that could be required. Rooms very well equipped with all requirements. Trendy decor, and a cosy feel to the public areas. An excellent location in the heart of Belfast, the surrounding area has some fantastic local pubs, great shopping and attractions, titanic exhibition a short walk, oldest pub in Belfast just round corner and a great local market very near. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Belfast again.

Friendly, efficient staff. Spotlessly clean rooms with elegant and appealing decor. Our room, (508) looked out on another hotel, but, this is a city, so we were not expecting a superb view The bathroom was modern art deco and had almost everything.....dressing gowns were the only thing that were missing and were an expected item for a 5 star hotel.

Really disappointed with our stay. Booked two rooms as we were a party of four celebrating two birthdays. The room we stayed in had no heat, maintanence drop heater to room, we were out, the time we got back to room it was freezing as heater was not plugged in. We stayed in November. Lifts broke down so we used staff entrance to get to breakfast room. When we checked in we had ask for a double room and twin room, that was our reservation. When shown to the room we were led to two double rooms and had to ring reception. This hotel looks well but can not see the five star standard / service as we had average stay. When leaving I had mentioned not having heat but the receptionist said we should have called a duty manager. Sums up the stay. Stayed in some fantastic five stars but will not stay here again.

Fantastic hotel. The staff are amazing and the breakfast was to die for. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed.
We were only here for a night and felt looked after at every point. The concierge booked us a great black cab tour of the city, which I highly recommend. They also provided great instructions and every recommendation was a good one.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location. I have stayed here four times now and every member of staff I have spoken to has been impeccably polite and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast menu is varied (not eaten other meals here) and the bar is also a great place for a beer or cocktail. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Belfast. Exceptionally clean rooms, well appointed and spacious and with friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff. Stayed in an Executive Double (313) and would definitely stay here again if I ever return to the city. Daily room service and turn down service, good breakfast for an extra charge, restaurant and bar on site. Stay: Dec. 4-8, 2018.

Love staying in this hotel, great city centre location, advisable to book valet parking in advance, I didn't this time round and had to use great Northern car park, although it was a bit cheaper, the Valet parking is worth it.
