We stayed in a city view suite on the 9th floor. The room was incredible, and the staff even better. Visiting from out of country I was hard pressed to find a dinner reservation at one of Belfast's best restaurants. Phillip and Gerard in concierge got me one without a problem and were of great assistance throughout the weekend. Can't reccomend this place enough.

I had an amazing stay here. They have thought about all the detail and the service is extremely professional. I was mega impressed. If you re going to Belfast you won t be disappointed staying here. The gym is not quite a gym and could do with modernising but other than that everything else is excellent. I was particular impressed by the quality of the the room service food. It was a nice touch to come for my second stay here with a welcome note and treat

Have stayed at the Fitzwilliam multiple times over the past couple of years while away work. The hotel is impeccably finished and the staff are always fantastic and very welcoming! The only annoying issue is the tiny car park which is often More

One of the best hotels in the world. It is extremely pricey....but the customer service of the staff and arrangement of the rooms make up for it. One of the best I have ever seen. Highly recommended. It comes with a full bath and separate shower, full bar, candles, and the best scented shampoos and bath oils made from essentials. I just loved my stay

Really enjoyed our stay for one night. It is a beautiful hotel and our room was fabulous. The concierges were amazing, very friendly and welcoming to myself and my partner. Breakfast was lovely and the room service great. Could not fault anything, thank you to all the staff for making our stay a special one.

I went for afternoon tea with my daughter on Saturday 29th August. We had a lovely afternoon the food was gorgeous with a great selection of savoury and sweet goodies. The attention friendliness and professionalism of the staff was first class. Unfortunately I dont know their names, but if they read this thank you for giving myself and my daughter a lovely mother daughter afternoon out. We will definitely be back.

Dreadful night at the Fitzwilliam Hotel on Valentines.

When you pay to stay in a hotel of this stature you would expect a 5* experience. Unfortunately for my partner and I, this was not the case. We would have been better off in the Jury's Inn next door.

Cannot fault the daytime receptionist or our server at dinner who were both exemplary. They were the only saving grace of our stay.

After our dinner on Valentines evening is when our stay took a turn for the worse. Approximately 10:45pm we were on our way out to enjoy the rest of the evening, when we only made it to our lift on the 7th floor. It became obvious that there was an awful commotion coming from a room at the end of the hall, we heard screams for help. As we got closer to the room we heard furniture being smashed, the sound of a woman being assaulted and to our horror, a child crying for help. My partners maternal instincts kicked in and she knocked the door. We were met by a young lady whom had clearly been the victim of a serious assault. There was drug paraphernalia all over the room, only covered by a dense cloud of cigarette smoke. We were then both threatened by the male aggressor and he lept towards us to attack me. We then asked the girl to come with us so we could get her help. We left the room to report this to reception albeit on the way we met the security guard and informed him. We continued on and reported it to the night receptionist. Unfortunately the 5* service does not carry on past 10pm. I complained about what happened and I was informed this is a normal occurance in the hotel - Yes you read that correctly. He then went on to say that not two years ago on Valentines night a guest at the hotel had hung himself in his room. This horrified me and left my partner in an awful state. She wanted to leave the hotel at this point - the 5* hotel I had booked for us to have a perfect romantic break was not a reality. I convinced her to stay but we weren't able to enjoy the evening we had planned and we went back to our room. After a night with little sleep I brought it to the attention of the duty manager she apologised and said she would try to resolve our confidence in the hotel.

As we checked out we were given a telling off - the hotel would not accept any liability for us potentially saving a vulnerable woman and a child. That she was sorry our stay was ruined and offered me 25% off my stay.. Fabulous. You would think we would AT THE VERY LEAST, been afforded another nights stay to rectify what we experienced or something a bit more generous than 25%.

Will I stay again or recommend this hotel to anyone? - Absolutely not.

5 star experience? - Far from it.

Horrible check-in. Probably the worst. As a hotel manager myself for a hotel in Dublin City Centre, the receptionist just wasn t professional at all.

After much debating and refusing to leave the reception area, we was granted the room without access to the mini fridge!

That s absolutely fine as we wasn t expecting to stay in the room apart from sleeping, but to nearly withhold our room due to not having our bank card details (which is obviously only used on the contents of the mini fridge) is quite bad in my opinion.

With all that s said, the bar area is beautiful and the bar staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

I will not be returning due to rude check-in staff which is the be-all and end-all to the beginning of ones trip.

Staff can be very condescending, bordering on rude, towards those customers who aren't as obviously wealthy as others. We're all customers, we should all be treated the same regardless of archaic views on dress sense.

Was only in for cocktails on a Friday evening .. plrasant but not much atmosphere and expensive cocktails that weren't consistent in how they were made .. ordered a second aviator and had to send it back as it tasted nothing like it should .. replacement was just ok. Bar staff must have changed in between.

The staff at this hotel are very professional, friendly and helpful, especially the concierge. The breakfast was a great addition to our stay as there aren t many breakfast options close by early in the morning. Rooms are very well kept and furnished in a very modern moody style.

Beautiful hotel that lived up to expectation. Staff extremely helpful and room as you would expect from a hotel of this calibre. Only let down was breakfast. Not a lot of choice and quite a few things ran out and weren't replaced.

Went last valentine's (2018) and will return again great for a few days away as a treat . Spend a bit extra for a good view and one of the better rooms well worth it . Room service and the whole experience is amazing

Fantastic modern hotel.

Fantastic modern hotel.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed in a Superior room and it was amazingly comfortable and spacious.

Brilliant and tasty cocktails available at the bar.

Right on the edge of the city centre a short taxi ride or a few minutes walk into the heart of Belfast

Well placed in the city, impeccable service, spacious and clean rooms, effective concierge, "valet parking", we would stay there a few days more.
The breakfast is a bit fancy, as the hotel is rather big, but the rest is well organized to feel good

Having only dined in the restaurant itself, I cannot comment on the hotel in its entirety. With reference to my personal experience however, I found the staff highly accommodating and the service second to none. My only issue concerned the waiting times for food. A firm 4 out of 5.
