Very well organised and accessible spot. They offer large meals and for economical rates. We loved the food a lot and the staff were very affable and informative. Will definitely recommend this spot.

Fantastic relaxed atmosphere. Music choice in the bar was top notch. Was seated on the ground floor. Upstairs was having an open mic night. Food was lovely. The waitress. Veronica I think she said her name was, couldn't be more helpful. Definitely recommend a visit.

We went to the speak easy above Cane & Grain - still a part of it but comes under the moniker Science & Industry. It's decked out like an old American speakeasy and has a really classic, opulent vibe. Atmospherically low lit with lots of brown leather booths and old world style decor. The drinks menu is amazing with too many delicious sounding cocktails to choose from. We tried to try as many as we could and enjoyed them all. They're served looking so good and taste equally so. Will definitely be back! Didn't try the food but boy could we smell it and that alone assured us it was delicious!

Awesome place. Great for beer and cocktails. Take a trip through the "secret" door to Science and Industry for some reimagined cocktails.

The BBQ and A that we attended was excellent with knowledgeable staff showing how they prepare the meat that they sell in the bar. The end result is to die for.

Excellent bourbon selection. Excellent beet selection.

Very tasty food with slow cooked ribs, beef and of course pulled pork. Good service, atmosphere and music.

To the chefs: The meat needs more sauce and was on the dry side. If the meat was more succulent that would be perfect.

Saturday lunchtime in the northern quarter is notoriously difficult to find some somewhere to eat without a long wait. So we tried cain and grain, as it was relatively empty. They have a great selection of beers, menu is limited, but our Memphis style ribs and deep south chicken burgers really were tasty. I would recommend the 'Hot as f*uk' fries, as a side.

The dark ipa was really heavy, but works well with the food.

We took a table outside in the sun, watching the day go by, service was polite and efficient.

Very overpriced bar. We were intending on staying for food bit looked overpriced. Glad we decided against it as the food that came out did not look appetizing and did not smell nice so we left when we had finished our drinks.

Came here because the reviews looked pretty good, not sure why! The food and drinks were pricey for what they were. The chicken burger had a horrible coating on it which i would not recommend. The house fries are just fries with what More

I've only been here for a quick pint, but I managed to have a peek at all three floors. They've done the place up nicely, with lots of exposed wood, dark decor with splashes of colour and a Tiki bar on the top floor for essential late-night drinking...

Food was not as good as expected. Wasn't really hot when it arrived and the AC was blowing right on the table so got even colder before we had a chance to finish it. We had ribs, a burger and two of the loaded fries. although the meat on the ribs was fine, the sauce tasted like it was straight out of a bottle. The loaded fries were totally indistinguishable. The burger was really nothing special either.

Ultimate hipster bar with London prices on drinks, also has a really weird second floor which would be really cool but for the fact that you can't even order drinks at the bar, you have to wait for someone to come and serve you

Rum, Ribs, Bourbon and Beer Good job the first three of those things happen to be on my very much like list.

We were greeted at the door and lead upstairs from the skate bar to the first floor bar which if I m been honest was a lot more my style. Downstairs felt a bit Avril Levign however upstairs with it's panelled wood floor, glow of yellow light and big leather chesterfield sofas it felt much more grown up.

The cocktail menu was a real delight, so much choice and evidently put together by a team who know their stuff. I decided firstly on the Bloomsbury Tale a mix of Tanqueray 10 Gin, lemon, team and ale syrup, and a dash of rhubarb and clove cordial. It was delicious, and tasted like melted gummy sweets. So sweet but with a real syrup flavour to it. Jake who is also a gin lover went for the new Orleans fizz a much more creamy cocktail with Gin, cream lemon orange blossom and soda. Despite been mixed with cream the citrus flavours and soda kept it really light.
