Happy Hour drinks: 6/5. They are affordable at $7/piece and they don't go light on the pour, either!
Service: 5/5. Between the smiling waitstaff and attentive barstaff, plus kitchen runners who run 2 flights of stairs to serve - pretty awesome
Food: 4/5. Goat cheese fondue is incredible. Definitely get the charcuterie. Cauliflower is an unusual and delicious dish. Chicken sandwiches are underwhelming.
Atmosphere: 6/5. The decor and vibe are SO SO good! Worth the trip in itself.
Overall: 5/5 great place

I cannot comment on the food, but I came here for happy hour with some friends and we had a great time. It was busy, but not crazy where we had to wait a long time for our drinks and it wasn't crowded were we couldn't move. The bartender was very attentive and even gave us great deals.

At happy hour they had the BOSTON CLUB PUNCH for $5. We all instantly loved it, with a balance of sweet and alcoholic. I had three that night. It is a must try!

The food was good, atmosphere was nice, and decor was fun. We had the whipped feta to start which comes out on a large piece of bread with vegetables on top. I'd prefer a presentation I assemble with crostini. We also had the tostada and duck meatballs. Both were very good. The goat in the tostada was very good. We also had the blueberry waffle and it had a good citrus hit in the batter but the waffle was fairly tough and chewy. These are minor nitpicks. I'd definitely go back. There is an oddity with the menu. It says they encourage sharing but the plates aren't really tapas sized and the portion on a plate isn't obviously shareable. Three of something for a table of 2 for example.

Went there for brunch. Service was good and the place is nice. However, the food was below average. I had the frittata and it was the blandest thing I ve ever had at a restaurant. Another person in my table got the German pancake. This was very very greasy and bland as well. The mimosas were not great. I couldn t tell the orange mimosa from the mango mimosa . I guess this place has survived because they are on U St. and brunch is a thing in DC. They need a new chef like desperately. I will never go back to this place and don t recommend it AT ALL.

High quality food. The entrees are somewhat smaller quantity than other places, but the appetizers are average quantity. Very flavorful food prepared with well chosen garnishes and spices. Tasted fresh and delicious. Prices are slightly above average for the area. Good beer and drinks list.

We had a bridal shower for my best friend here over the weekend and it was awesome! The food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic! We had a fabulous time, and we will definitely return for a meal in the near future. Cheers!

Great spot on U Street for a meal that s better than most pubs/bars in that area. Highlights were the cheese board with big chunks of the most delicious sourdough; smoky, sticky, tender duck wings; and a whole grilled fish that was perfectly cooked. Drink choices were varied and well made. Service was really excellent - friendly and efficient, helping us hustle out quicker than we d have liked as we were on our way to a show. We ll definitely be back soon.

I absolutely loved this place. The food and the ambiance are both amazing. I unfortunately have a dairy intolerance and ordered my food without dairy (I ordered a burger and the Kale salad, both without cheese, and I explained why to my waitress). I don't know if my waitress forgot, or there was miscommunication on my behalf or perhaps between her the the kitchen staff, but I had a flare up about an hour after dinner, leaving me painfully bloated and ill for the rest of the evening. Some restaurants take me more serious than others when I tell them that I have an intolerance, and this unfortunately was not one of them. I highly recommend the place otherwise. If you have a food intolerance perhaps be especially vocal about it to your waiter or waitress to avoid illness.

Went here cuz it looks good on the website. We sat down at 6:30 on a Friday even though the restaurant was half empty the waiter legitimately didn't come over for 20 minutes to take any kind of a drink order or acknowledge us. After they took our drink order we use the time to go on an open table and book 7:30 reservation in different spot had our drink and left.

Really interesting menu and the food was very good. The timing was weird, though. After we ordered a variety of things to share from a few sections of the menu, everything arrived all at once. Also, our server wasn't very attentive, and we had to flag him down to let him know we had finished our meal.

Sweet baby Jesus!!! The duck wings and the roasted cauliflower are amazing. If I could have that every day I would. They out this sesame teriyaki tasting sweet sauce roasted in the cauliflower. It's amazing. And the duck is so tender and glazed with a honey sauce. Jesus talks to your when you eat this.combo. the heavens opened up

Great cocktails and unique dishes! Too expensive for what you get, I think, but I still would come here for happy hour again. The staff is also wonderful.

Try the Saigon Mule. I was jealous of my friend when I tried his.

I got their Nutella french toast, and it was soggy and under-cooked. The inside was still batter/eggy. It was covered in what looked like watery compote, I felt like the sauce could have been reduced much more.

We also got their bottomless option, and while I like a strong drink, their mimosas were almost undrinkable. All three flavors felt like drinking just grain alcohol.

I was overall quite disappointed. For somewhere that looked like a great brunch place it ended up being over priced and lack-luster. The seemed to rely on clever names and esoteric ingredients (i'm looking at you Togarashi avocado toast) more than quality food.

Came here for happy hour and a couple of apps and it was delicious and had coolvibes.

Came here for drinks another evening and it was kind of lackluster, and the seating upstairs was awkward. Big tables with no table service and little place to sit or chill otherwise unless you're right up against the bar.

Came on what seemed like a busy Saturday night and got seating for two right away. It was the name that got us interested. Service was quick and our server was very informed about the menu and answered any questions we had. The food came out very fast which was surprising in a good way. My drunken noodles were good but I wished the portion size was a bit bigger for the prize I paid. They had an extensive alcohol selection and a bar as well. They also had a small dessert menu and the pudding I got was pretty good.

I went here on Sunday for my birthday. I had the blueberry waffles with a side of potatoes. The blueberries were really fresh and the waffle was fluffy. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

One of the best restuarants on U street. Great food and cocktails. They can be really busy on the weekends. Get reservations or plan to sit at the bar. They serve their full menu at the bar but it's packed and loud, so for the bar option make sure to bring someone you don't mind screaming at.

The food here is very good and very well prepared. I went here today with my friends and I got the Short Rib Hash. The meat was perfect. My only two complaints are that the egg were a little over cooked and there were like 5 potatoes in the entire dish. I thought it was a hash not a short rib plate. Other than that I was very pleased with my experience here. Service was great and the food tasted great.

I really love The Fainting Goat. It has a comfortable dimly light environment offering craft cocktails and an assortment of entrees and bar snacks catered towards a more foodie crowd.

This is a great date spot, but it can get crowded during peak hours. On Friday and Saturday nights it is hard to find a seat and is a little too loud to have any kind of engaging conversation.

Great service, servers were friendly and super knowledgeable, trust their recommendations. If the duck wings are still on the menu you have to try them, same with The goatcheesecake - truly amazing!
