Lightning Rod and Mystery Mine coasters are awesom...
Lightning Rod and Mystery Mine coasters are awesome.
Lightning Rod and Mystery Mine coasters are awesome.
Always enjoy our time at Dollywood. Always great food, big smiles, and awesome shows!
We were able to see Ms. Dolly herself!!! My to youngest keeps saying Momma she was so pretty! Had a blast and can't wait to come back again soon!
I love Dollywood! It's like a country version of Disneyland, but better. Not as crowed. The food there is amazing, great customer service, awesome rides, even people visiting the amusement park are friendly too! I go several times a year.
A beautiful park, nestled in the mountains, it is the perfect size for any age.
This was our first visit to Dollywood. The park didn't open until 2pm and closed at 9pm, so there's not much time to see all of the shows. The shows fill up fast, so you have to arrive at the venues early to get seated. On the bright side, the Christmas lights are spectacular!
I would leave no stars if I could. They have shut off the phones since COVID-19. They have changed all the rules on a season pass which you pay for you should be able to use as much as you want to. That's the reason for spending a crazy amount of money on it. FULL Refunds should be issued.
An incredible family them park that has great rides and food. Very well themed throughout the entire park. My family had a blast there! There is enough to keep you entertained throughout the entire day. Great shows! No long lines at the rides and all the food was incredible! We ended the day at the front porch cafe. What a great little restaurant! It's a sit down, table service restaurant that has incredible food and a great staff. Very fun day for all of us!
Day 4
Today was the first day in a long time I have felt human, and for that, I am so grateful. After much research and two phone calls to Dollywood, I decided to take the kids and give it a try. I could not put into words as a mother how wonderful it felt to see her children be children, if just for a few hours. Today they laughed, they played, they felt free. It was everything.
When I say to you that Dollywood is taking our current situation seriously, I do not state it lightly. From the time we got out of the truck there were literally markers every 6 ft throughout the park. At security check temperatures were taken and the person taking your temperature had you read all the essential questions and check to make sure you had a mask. Those without masks were given one, and if for any reason something happened to yours they were all over the park at every guest station. Once we got to the tram, each seat was sanitized and only families were allowed to sit in each row, with every other row empty. At every single ride, you were made to stay at your spot until it was time to move up, each ride was sanitized between each trip, only immediate family was allowed in your row on rides, and every other row was left empty on ever ride and riders were told they must wear their masks. Anyone seen in the park Not wearing a mask would be asked to wear their mask properly and if refusing to do so they would be dismissed from the park. Food was being served, but was only allowed to be eaten outside. Attendance in the park is typically acceptable at 40,000 people, now only 10,000 people. Sanitizers weren't just thrown throughout the park on walls, every employee had a huge bottle of sanitizer, and before you got on each ride you were given a squirt. The kids and I took Clorox wipes with us in case we needed them, but not once did we ever need them because Dollywood was on top of everything.
I say all this to say that our new normal does not have to be impossible. Our new normal simply just has to be that. So what if you had to wait longer for them to make sure you were safe. So what if you couldn't eat inside in the air conditioning. So what if you had to wear a mask to get on a ride. As Glennon Doyle says, "We can do difficult things." The more we do the difficult, the more simple it becomes. The attitude in which we face things greatly determines our result. I must keep reminding myself of this...
We had a great time. I think all the rides were open. We rode, saw and did everything we wanted to do. The place was not crowded. The masks in 90 degree heat are quite a pain.
I absolutely enjoyed Dollywood. This is an excellent park, very clean, the workers are polite & the food was good. My wife and I brought our kids & they all had a blast, save my 11 month-old. There wasn't much for him to do. If you have kids under 42", be prepared to ride a lot of rides with them. This park is very well maintained also. Finally, all the shows I attended were very well done. I enjoy Dolly tremendously and anytime I see her, I smile. Thank you Dolly and your amazing staff for allowing me to cross off a bucket-lister, one that I will never forget!
I had such a blast going to Dollywood. I had just moved locally, was my first time. I ll definitely be purchasing season passes!
Great family entertainment. Something for everyone. It IS a bit expensive to me but it's comparable to other places like it. Some of the park is closed due to the pandemic, like kid's play areas, but for the most part it's all open. Lines weren't too long. Food was good but a little expensive. One day wasn't enough to do it all. We will be back.
09/04/2020 The place was so NOT CROWDED. The C parking lot was only about 25% full when we got there 45 minutes after the gates opened. The lines were so short. The there were only 2 rides where the wait was more than 10 minutes. There was almost zero wait time at the Wild Eagle, Tennessee Tornado and Thunderhead. There was no waiting for food and drink. Lots of empty places to sit and eat. Because the bathrooms weren't getting used by a zillion people, they looked and smelled clean. Patrons did not practice social distancing very well but masks were worn by most and hand sanitizer was given to everybody before they got on the rides and was made available when you left the ride areas. Overall, an excellent day.
Awesome amusement park. Our 6 year old couldn't get enough of the roller coasters. Definitely buy the time saver pass. It will save you hours. Yes, it is expensive, but on a crowded day, you will be thankful you bought it.
We always get the season passes! I have been visiting here since I was a baby...i love this park, the people are always so nice. I even live in Florida now and travel up to take my kids! It is wholesome, family fun! I love the Christian groups that sing here, that theaters and shows they have, my son always loves the train. And they get to enjoy it with their grandparents too! Beautiful setting as well.
Was here on our honeymoon! Would definitely go back if we lived closer.
Love it lots of places to take it easy and relax too
I always love Dollywood. On this day it was super hot, but on a Sunday after school had started back the crowds were very small. Got to ride the water rides about as much as we wanted with no waiting. Super fun time for me and family.
Awesome place to visit so much to do love what she has for the eagles
What a wonderful experience we had in August visiting here. We took our 87 year old mom it was on her bucket list while she still was still able to get around. Originally I rented an electric scooter just for her. After we arrived I thought I would rent two more for my wife an I, what great idea that was. Once the man showed Mom how to operate the scooter off she went, she was out front the entire time, she was looking at this site an having a great time. I took plenty of pictures of her big smile. Unfortunately half way through our tour of Dollywood it rained an we didnt get to go on the train. We were saddened, the conductor of the train suggested we go to the ticket office for a rain check. I went to the ticket window, explained the situation, this person gave 3 rain tickets to be used before the end of the year. We are going the second week of November. I've already reserved 3 electric scooters for our visit. The Christmas lighting starts on November 10th as well as the Christmas shows.
This is my family's favorite quick getaway. With a Season Pass you can go as much as you want. They have a lot of different events throughout the year.
In a vaccum Dollywood seems fine. Everyone was very sweet. If you're local and have a season pass, I totally get the appeal. But given that disney only commands a 30 dollar premium comparatively, dollywood is way over priced. Also, if you're tall, most rides will be a struggle. I'm 6'4 and every last ride was uncomfortable or a struggle. Again, I knew this going in, but Dollywoods competition doesn't have the same problems. It's a fine park. But for the money, fine shouldn't really cut it.
It was SUPER crowded. If you get your tickets in advance that would certainly help. I think they also sell fast passes if you're a roller coaster enthusiast. There are also long long lines for food so make sure you don't wait until you're starving to get in line for something. Good place to go with the family as they have added several new rides and are about to open up a new section.
Dollywood was good. It cost to much. Parking is 15.00 for a car. It is once in a lifetime, that's it. The people were Great, except when it rained and the staff engorged us. They were playing ball. You can get free water from any stand. That was the best part. The show was good. I just wish they could have used the microphone.
We have tried getting hold of someone, anyone, to request a refund for our season passes that we bought in March. I ve waited for hours and no response in any way shape and form. We will not be attending at all! Very sorry service.
I always love Dollywood. Southern hospitality, clean, so much family fun. We go every year several times.
Really a nice park that is seriously understaffed. I think it's unkind to ask the people in food service section to run a complete stand all by themselves. We waited for food longer than we did for rides. And those poor people worked all day that way and were still very kind. There really needs to be addressed...
First time going, very busy but had an awesome time. So much to do and fun things to do. Will definitely be back
This park makes my top 5 list. Clean and sweet. Coasters are amazing. Foods great! We had a blast. Will probably go 2 days the next time visit.
First time was simply amazing! We didn't have enough time to do everything in one day so may be worth checking out over two days if your stay allows the time.
Very impressed! Friendliest staff ever! Beautiful landscape and fun theme. Short wait time for rides. Had a blast and hope to re visit some day.
What is the point of all the hand sanitizer if you don't enforece the mask rule.
We really enjoyed the park! The rides were awesome and the entire staff we talked to was friendly and happy. Truly a great family experience and we can t wait to go back!
We have Season Passes! This is our go to, stress reducing, fun, getaway! We love everything Dolly and Dollywood!
Oh where to start. Actually the start is where it went down hill. To get discount we had buy at the park. So the first cashier just couldn't get anything right. We sat there for at least an hour. The second cashier got the money right and gave us a few fast pass tickets which was nice but when they went to scan the tickets they didn't work and they tried to take out tickets and not give them back but we needed them for the splash park. And the the souvenir cups that you buy in dollywood and get free refills you have to pay at the splash park.
It's Dollywood. It's fun year round, and there's a ton of things to do around after you're done playing there.
Very disappointed that multiple attractions and food kiosks were closed.
Great place for family and friends. Actually, it's my destressor. I visit to scream at my loudest without shame :)
Great atmosphere, it's the perfect blend of festival and amusement park
Awesome, this was our first time going to Dollywood and we seen the Pumpkin Lumni-Lights... will be back next year to see the Christmas Decorations!
I grew up visit Dollywood with my family. So it means a lot to now bring my kiddos. I can t believe how much this place has grown! I have a toddler and there was a great amount of entertainment for him. He enjoyed about thirty minutes of a show, he loved the train and carousel, and the little playground and splash pad in Owen s Farm was a great place for him to just run, climb, jump and be loud.
The park opened at 10a, but they were allowing people through the gates as early as 9:30a. But just a heads up that once inside things are roped off until 10a.
We ate at Aunt Granny s buffet and the line was out the door. So be prepared for crowds around spring break!
My wife Gigi and I Ghee took our granddaughter Lucille here for the first time on 9 October 2020. We had a great time making memories with our granddaughter.
Nice clean family friendly park. Not a ton of rides. Good roller coasters for those who like them. Good kiddie rides for the kids. Food prices are a bit higher than I would expect at a theme park. Admission tickets are pricey as well. There is a new section scheduled to open spring of 2019. Still under construction when we were there.
Dollywood is one of my most favorite places on earth. You are sure to find that all of the staff is friendly and willing to help. Dollywood has a wide variety of rides and are always expanding their variety of attractions at the park. Food at the park is also very nice considering it is theme park food. Prices at the park are descent. Food and merchandise is cheaper at Dollywood than at some other parks, such as Disney. There is no where like it in the world. One of my favorite aspects of the park is the Chasing Rainbows Museum, which features Dolly Parton Memorabilia. You will not find hospitality like at Dollywood at any other theme park.
We loved it!! The different pumpkin lights were gorgeous! I gave 4 stars because the food there was expensive and made me a little sick but if you take a cooler then it's amazing!
Great employees, fantastic food, fun rides, and love the family-friendly vibe of the park!
So much fun! Love the app. Love the decorations and lights this time of year.
This place is the cleanest park I have ever been to. Not only is the park really clean but how they have it set up and run everything is efficiently done and smooth. It is great to see that the staff is make up of older folks and not just a bunch of teenagers or younger people. Everyone is really nice and have smiles on there face. There is something at dollywood for everyone not matter age. Can't wait to go back and see everything we missed and to explore the new expansion once it is complete.
If you don't buy a fastpass plan on waiting in long lines.
Dollywood is a great amusement park for the whole family. Good food, good rides, great shows and lots of things to see and do.
We road rides, ate good food and watched several shows. I am sure we saved money using the souvenir cups to get cheap refills on drinks, but we also took advantage of the free for the asking water from some of the vendors around the park. You can have them fill your souvenir cup with ice water free of charge also.
Just like they tell you to do at Disney parks, when you enter the park go to the left around the park and you will have a lot less wait time on the rides, we had almost no wait on all of the major coasters and rides using this strategy.
The park has aged well and they update different things pretty constantly. They have plenty of big ticket type rides for the thrill seekers. We have enjoyed many of their shows that they have. Plenty of food to try all around the park. Tucked into the mountains like that it has great views around the area. Parking is plentiful but spread out with plenty of ground transportation to and from the front gates.
Awsome place for whole family. Lights a Christmas are spectacular. Just so crowded
Never go back. Charged too much for parking, admission to the park and also charged for use of their app on my phone.
Awesome rides and fair prices in park. Great time. Lightning Rod closed for duration of 2020, but plenty of adrenaline fueling rides to be had. Also plenty of rides for little kids and scaredy cats. Went on a Monday and place was not packed at all. Don't know if that's normal or just got lucky.
Love the park clean nice and we'll put together to go from one thing to the next. But the need bigger seats for some if there rides and some of them r not because of big stomach it's the bigger legs. Will not let the seats close or latch right
This place is amazing. It has some of the longest, fastest roller coasters I've ever experienced. Excellent shows. Entertainment for ALL ages. I will definitely go back.
We went to Dollywood on a rainy Saturday and had a great time. The temperature was nice and the crowd was much smaller than normal. We went prepared with light rain jackets to stay dry. The lines were short at all rides and shows. The shows are very entertaining. The food at Dollywood is great. It's pricey but you are at an amusement park. I recommend going on a rainy day.
First time visit to Dollywood, the amusement park is tucked into the mountains and the manicured Forrest added to it's charm. Wildwood Grove just opened adding 11 new thrills and a new Mexican restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The park was amazingly clean. Will go back again.
We love Dollywood. Always so.ething new to do, great shows, friendly staff, good food. Season pass is a great deal.
Had a great day at Dollywood at Christmas. Some great stalls and shops with traditional crafts.
The speed passers were able to pass us 3 times on the same ride. With one hour wait times. Spent 4 hours and made only 3 rides. Either get more help or get ride of the speed passes or start limiting trips something. There is no reason why people were able to just keep lapping those who paid for the pleasure of standing in line
Fabulous park. So much to see & enjoy! Staff very friendly.
Love all the pumkin's ,music everywhere and the fall air..
The park was fun and people were nice. Disappointed we waited in line twice for the train but never got to ride.
Great rides and excellent shows all in a very relaxed mountain setting. Lines are always shorter than most amusement parks.
They're operating at partial capacity and seem to be doing a great job. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's the perfect place for a family day full of fun and great memories!
LumiLight festival was AMAZING. Beautiful LED displays shows and decorations. Will visit again ASAP. Wonderfully nice staff. And a special thanks to Rodgy for being a wonderful friend and employee, even though it was their day off.
What a fun place for the whole family...9-90 literally...so much to do and see...we went with a close friend and her family and the kids had a blast! We went durinf afternoon during fall session for the pumpkin/fall fest and it was pretty awesome to say the least! Buy tickets online and look for sales...there are tons out ways to keep admission prices down...and Dollywood offers free water which is a plus when you think you can easily spend $50 a day in water at other amusement parks!
Had a really good time seeing all the lights they had up after thanksgiving. The park is nice and easy to navigate. A lot of different towns and stores to explore. Food was ok not as good though as I thought it would have been. The kids had a great time which is all that matters so if you re going with your family highly recommended to stop by.
It was a pretty fun experience to just walk around in.
The bird show with eagles and such was a lot of fun so make sure to check it out.
The shops at every turn was a bit much and most everything was double or more normal cost so try not to impulse buy.
Lots of great rides, educational areas. Wonderful music. Cool bald eagle area.
Great activities for kids and families
Good food. Nice memorial church.
Great photo ops. Beautiful flowers. Clean park. Great variety of interesting shops.
Terrific place for families!
Nice park. Had grandkids there from 6 months to 5 years old. Go to the country fair area first with kids that age. Only reason not a 5 is because the park shuts down at 7 pm. Opening at 10 just doesn't leave enough time to enjoy the park for a one day ticket.
We had a wonderful time. We have season passes so we are looking forward to coming back soon. The kids absolutely loved it. We ate at Aunt Grannies and it was delicious and everybody needs to try Dollywoods famous cinnamon bread.
One of the best and friendliest theme parks I have ever been to
Family friendly and price is hreat
I have been coming here since I was a kid. I this place!! I just recently got back from visiting The Great Pumpkin Fest...
This place has great people, food, and experiences for everyone! I was inspired by artisan Linda Feagans and her husband David of Tree of Life Creations. She has a heart for God and a true talent for burning art into wood. She made me a personalized piece for my cousin that just lost her mom who loved the tree of life images and put her name on it with a Biblical reference to Ecclesiastes 3. What Linda didn't know when she suggested that passage was that it was exactly what my cousin read at the funeral! It turned out fantastic! Make sure you go by to see them at their stand next to the Back Porch Theater. We also got a personalized sign for my mom's memorial gardens next door to her at Tin Signs! Everyone here is so friendly it is easy to lose time in meaningful conversations. I also had some of the best black eyed peas, stone soup, fried chicken and apple cobbler at Aunt Granny's Buffett. So so good!! And please make sure you get some Cinnamon bread at The Grist Mill where it is made so fresh daily that it will melt in your mouth just before you melt to the floor yourself into a puddle of contentment! This park is awesome because it has thrilling roller coasters, fun kid rides for all ages, fantastic food and one of a kind shopping experiences!!
Always love Dollywood. Family fun and family atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.
It was fabulous. The rides were amazing, and if you were there with young grandchildren and didn't want the rides there was plenty of areas to stay out of the sun and watch them have a blast!
Very disappointed. We hoped to mix up the shows food and rides. Only 2 outdoor shows "open" and masks are required even outdoors. It was 90. So no relief from heat. No discount on entrance due to lack of shows.
Very clean and efficient place. Smallish, compared to Cedar Point or Kings Island, but equal in quality. Overall I prefer the experience at Dollywood over the major parks. Worth going!
This was our families 2nd time at Dollywood and we really enjoyed it much more this time, because we knew the layout of everything really well! Our grandchildren loved riding the RAMPAGE over and over! They rode it over a dozen times. They were soaked! We recommend wearing open shoes, like flip flop or water shoes. One of our granddaughters work tennis shoes with socks and her feet got really shriveled up and sore. We plan to back to Dollywood many, many more times in the future, After visiting Dollywood, we will never go to Disney World, again! Dollywood is more Family Friendly!!!
Dollywood was a great experience, with plenty of rides and events for my wife and I, and a host of great eating options at the park.
The staff seemed eager to assist in whatever we might need, making sure to direct us to areas of the least wait so we could experience the most. I'll be recommending the park as a must-stop for those visiting from now on.
My Family loves this place! We go every year for Christmas as the staff is very welcoming, the food is amazing and the park looks beautiful. Try the red velvet funnel cake and the 25lb apple pie!
Visited the park on a Saturday. Fairly busy but plenty of parking and the tram was running smoothly. Got into the park quickly. Purchased the "Photo Card" option and took advantage of many opportunities to capture memories at a reasonable $50 price and print them later. Bought $17 endless refill option for beverages for the entire day. With the "socal distancing" protocols in place, we had to wear a mask all day, even on the coasters. Only able take in 3 rides ALL DAY because of spacing and no shows or a train ride. No maps or schedules are handed out so be sure to download a map and schedule. I didn't want to download the Dollywood app and give up more personal info but it was an option. Food lines were 40 minute waits. A ticket price of $75+ during this pandemic doesn't seem like a value. Staff was friendly and this theme park is beautiful so the 4 stars is given in anticipation of a post Covid-19 future visit.
Our family had a wonderful time. The park was decorated beautifully for Christmas.
