Second house built in Auburn Bay. Cedarglen fell very short of the standard set by our first builder. Long list of deficiencies, some not address at all, including appalling grading of lot. Cedarglen refused to meet land report and blamed developer. Paid $2000 to have corrected... Builder grade paint instead of upgraded paint we paid for (touched up very poorly), microwave cabinet 2" too shallow (4 months to correct, main floor sink rough in incorrect and when repaired leaked on on Friday of long weekend and did hear back till Tuesday (had to pay plumber to repair) etc, etc, etc...Attempted to mediate issue regarding grading with response team, management and finally new home warranty with no results. Funny all it would have take was regrading the mess they made and I would have had a completely different outlook of Cedarglen. Hopefully this is helpful before making one of the biggest decisions of you life.

I recently signed up to build a house with Cedarglen at Belmont. The experience so far has been excellent. Very supporting team, especially Ryan Christensen has been great. He's taken the time to understand my requests and made them work. Plus, he makes sure to point out items that will increase the cost, so I can make an informed decision. Will certainly recommend going with Cedarglen, and if you get to work with Ryan, even better. Fingers crossed, hope my experience continues to be as good through rest of the process.

All around good builder, wouldnt cover things like paint coming off all my hallway baseboards as a defect which was upsetting minor issues with a few other things but was mostly taken care of, most were trade issues but I guess they hire them so... The trades they use the workmanship has definently gone down hill from years ago.

Supervisors were efficient and professional.

Response team was quick to solve problems that came up.

Design center was a fun and engaging process as well.

Good prices and nice floor plans. Wish more of a budget was added for things like lighting was not enough to get kitchen, island or stairway lighting even after getting only basic $20-$30 light fixtures for the rest of the house.

All around we had a pretty good experience with the building process.

Cedarglen sells an incredible product and has their sales and design process nailed down.

We are extremely happy with our new home, The Lavoy, in Riverstone!

The house itself is wonderful, but since taking possession we have found it significantly more difficult to work with the builder when problems have come up.

Cedarglen is a great company and you will love your new home! We sure do!

This is my second house built by Cedarglen. Granted i have had SOME good experiences, however they hare HUGELY outweighed by the negative experiences. The service from the response team has been less than satisfactory for a home in the cost range of 600k. Cracked paint on all interior doors and trim, due to a prep and supplier issue with PPG paints. Unaddressed Issues with roofing materials and water leaking in behind the soffit and swollen wood from water damage, documented with video and pictures dating back to within our warranty period, and technically is still within the building envelope warranty period, now 5 years later are now unaddressed. These issues were being addressed by one rep from the response team, and magically, after she said she would look into these issues for me, she was no longer at the company, when i reached out to check on the status. I was informed today, by the response team lead, to file a claim with Alberta New Home Warranty. Less than pleased with Cedarglen's customer service and operations style. Product is decent, however I would suggest highly against building with Cedarglen EVER.

Really happy the way our first home turned out. The location is really good. Quality of the materials used to build the house is what impressed me the most. Very professional and helpful staff who made the purchase from start to finish a truly great experience. Shout out to everyone who were involved in building our new house Mike, Julie, Christina and Martin.

Think 10 times before you buy a home with Cedarglen Homes. After 9 years the soffit is coming loose and not only in my house, many in the block that Cedarglen built. I had my roof inspected by the insurance company and the a roofing professional company and they said that the shingles were not on put properly, the nails were set too high and other issues. Terrible company for follow up. Its all good when you buy and its all new the first few years then the workmanship of the contractors they hire show there ugly face....think before you buy a home with them....

We have recently moved into a Cedarglen condo in Seton Park II as owners. Our experience has been amazing right from the beginning! We are very happy with the quality and workmanship in our unit and LOVE the floor plan. From purchase, making design choices, possession and inspections; all Cedarglen staff have responded to our questions quickly and thoroughly. We can t say enough about the support we have received and can highly recommend this builder. Very satisfied customers.

I work at McLean Contracting and we do lots of deck rail and vinyl decking for Cedarglen Homes and Cedarglen Living. Cedarglen is great to work with, no complaints at all. If I buy a new house in the future I'll buy with Cedarglen.

If you are looking for a reputable home builder with excellent customer service this is the builder for you. We had a fantastic experience with Cedarglen building in Riverstone. A few mistakes did occur but were corrected to our complete satisfaction. Even issues after warranty was over were corrected. Thank you for a great home building experience. If we build again it will be with Cedarglen.

We love our new Cedarglen home. They were very easy to work with along the way. Tyler, our site supervisor, was very thorough and helpful on the walkthroughs. Even our realtor was impressed. The construction and details throughout the house really make it standout. Even though the building process is done they are still available to help if anything is needed. If you're looking for a builder I highly recommend working with Cedarglen.

I am a REALTOR, I had a client bought a very expensive pre-construction house from you recently and you give him the house with no exterior (with an excuse of cold weather but I think you could predict the cold weather), it seems you are not as good as you think in winters. I met the site manager who believed it was doable, but Cedarglen simply avoided finishing the job before the possession date and postponed to summer!!!
big disappointment, I am happy with customer service at all

We had an amazing experience with Cederglen from start to finish! From the very first moment we met with Mike, we knew we were in good hands. The design team offered great advice on decor and they were always there to answer questions via email or phone.
Once we moved in the responseteam was always on top of things with our service orders and again answering all our questions. I highly recommend Cederglen to anyone looking for a new home.

Prior to making my home a Cedarglen one, I was really apprehensive to consider preconstruction again given the poor experience I had with my previous condo builder. Thankfully my wife convinced me to give it another try with Cedarglen. Their awesome customer service and build quality has completely changed my mind, I highly recommend them!

Hi, I would like to say Cedarglen is the best ever builder in Calgary. They are very professionally and timely mannered being. The response team does response quickly and always booking appointments sooner than I expect.

But one thing I have to mention: my main floor does have vibration issue( or floor deflection ). Hopefully they can fix it for me. The toilet has been broken sometimes.

Besides that everything is good for now!

Just moved to our new house in west grove way. I just would like to write a review about the Cedarglen site manager (Steve) in west grove way area. He is so nice and helpful and Always responsible and responsive. I am so happy that he supervised our house during construction. This review is just for Steve and I give 5 star to Steve.

First time building and entire process was pretty smooth. We checked on our home every week and only found a few minor problems such as were not suppose to have a medicine cabinet in the master bathroom so when we mentioned it to them, problem was fixed. Towards the end, we ended up changing our paint color last minute because all the colors we chose are cooler colors and after the 4 hour selection we chose just neutral tan colors but realized last minute that it would not go as well if we chose a grey wall to go with our midnight stain cupboards.dark hardwood floors and grey tile. We were able to change it basically the day they were gonna paint the wall with a 25% restocking fee which is fair. Everything has been great and we are so HAPPY with our home!!! Love the building process, only thing I wish we could of done was choose the outside color of our home but we bought a spec home so colors were chosen already. Also they should have at the design centre a few more options for registers and light switch covers and have swatches on a wall with real paint colors so you can see how actual colors take oppose to the premade color paint swatches which don't look like the real color and perhaps do 2 sessions as after 4 hours is very tiring and you forget what you choose and wall paint should be chosen earlier in the process. Other than that, I will only build my home because I like choosing all the little details and recommend Cedarglen. Great company. Thank you.

Great experience while building but now that warranties are starting to expire, everything is breaking down. Furnace, water heater, you name it. We've had to repair the furnace multiple times this year alone and replace parts mere months after warranty expiration.

Very dissatisfied with performance and now I'm sinking further money into repairs that shouldn't be necessary five years after a build. Also had to have outside maintenance done because the soffit was peeling off. What a joke.

I wish I could say we had a good experience with Cedarglen, sadly, the build quality and trades they hire are abysmal at best. I could write a book about our bad experiences over the life of this house including defective roofing, cold air returns that were sub-floored over, incorrectly installed windows, delaminating concrete, leaking skylights, leaking into the walls from exterior vents, the list goes on. There was a 50+ page document assembled by an independent inspector with all the issues. I'll give one more recent example that I think typifies everything. We moved in July/August 2005. After water pouring into our garage through the ceiling they came back in Sept 2005 to rip all the stone off the front of the house because they put the flashing on incorrectly. July 2013 water starts pouring into the garage again. They ripped all the stone off a second time and discover the flashing was once again done incorrectly. February 2020, leaking in the garage again. Why? Because they put the flashing on incorrectly for the 3rd time! This time I hired a professional contractor to do the work. If you can believe if they glued the flashing on and just jammed it into a crack, and did not install it properly behind the trim or apply any proper waterproofing membrane. The Smart Board was showing signs of water damage as a result. While one could argue after the warranty ran out they did not need to do anything, it should never have happened in the first place, much less 3 times in row. In hindsight I probably should have never let them touch the house again. Buyer beware.
