The food was okay, it s a bit pricey. The main focal point is the venue itself that is a gorgeous multiple floor pub decorated with thriving plant life. Located in St Katherine dock it offers marvellous views and it has outside seating when weather permits.

The pub has several restaurants inside: grill, pizza and the pub itself. Lots of space and it s pretty calm here, so recommended if you are not fan of noise and overcrowded places

Great cosy traditional British oldified pub. Set in stunning location by water and boats, hard to believe this place is London as you feel like you are in another era. Not eaten here but will do. Great place to bring newbies to London or even on sightseeing tour for visitors.

Nice pub, nice atmosphere. Gets packed on a weekend. Very picturesque building from the outside. Didn't eat here so cannot comment on the quality of the food but see other people's plates and they looked nice with generous sized portions.

It's a great place to eat and have a drink. There are three floors where they served different meals, if you want to eat something which is on the menu of another floor you have to go there and pick it up later to that floor, once it's cooked.

Instagramable building. Nice to take photos but avoid eating there and don t ask anything to staff they are not good at all.
I ordered chicken schnitzel with truffle butter sauce but I got very dried chicken so requested to bring the truffle butter sauce then manager brought this.

Excellent location and view but the food and service was below par.
The food portions of the mushroom starter we had was ridiculously small and the hyped 'Hickory Smoked Chicken' was dry and bland. Service time was way too long and with only two waiter/servers managing a weekend lunch, the pressure was evident. There was one lady server(seemed to be senior) who was pleasant, unfortunately she wasn't serving our table. Prices are fairly reasonable however I was expecting a better overall experience.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL (YET AGAIN) - I've lived in London full time for nearly twenty-five (~25) years - and - I've still NOT managed to get served in here.
Sweaty / hot, dark bar (their extra capacity NOT opened on one of the busiest days of their year) = Appalling for a service industry.
Try walking no more than ten minutes to 'The Town of Ramsgate' in Wapping (if you want a 'proper' pub - not this 'fake' tourist trap).
It's a location where 'the owner' should (and probably does) 'print money' but I can't begin too express how badly it is run.
Winston Churchill could die trying to get a drink in here = 'Look' - there's where his body lay (after death /at his funeral).

It may be a shameless tourist trap, but it's still a great place to stop for a drink.

If you're lucky enough to get a seat on the deck in the sunshine, it's a great place to sit and admire the boats on the dock. Inside is a mix of busy/chain and historical/quaint, which is an odd mix that somehow works here.

Worth a drop by if in the area!

Well..

Well..

One of the six starters never turned up even though we repeated twice the orders to the waiter...

Deserts took an eternity.

THE TOILETS OMG DISGUSTING....

I have never been in a place like this in my life. Soiled pants were thrown in the corner wet floor toilet roll everywhere urinal blocked. An situation did not change during two visits

Not impressed if these are the toilets....

So all in all a meal experience not to be repeated.

Huge pub which has three floors! Great place to hold events. If your interested in boats there is always loads to look at and dream about! Great food, great staff, massive selection of drinks an honestly the best pub in London! A must go to!

The food was amazing, the Chicken Schnitzel was the best I have eaten in London, the service was prompt, professional and really friendly. The atmosphere and scenery was so relaxing. Thank you so much to Agata and the amazing team at Dickens Inn.

Ate breakfast here which was a full English and it was very tasty. Nice chilled atmosphere. The place itself was very nicely decorated with flowers which made it even more welcoming and nice to sit outside and enjoy the view. I would definitely go again if I am ever back in London.

If I could give zero stars I would.

Ordered the 'world famous' fish & chips but received nothing but a bland fish with ridiculously thick batter ending in being uncooked on the inside. Even the sides sauces were of minimal portions. Could not eat. Would not recommend or go back again:

This may look (from the outside) a bit misshaped but it is a pub/eaterie that has atmosphere. Old creaky floorboards and like a step back in time. We went to the restaurant on the second floor and dabbled in the Fish and Chips and the fish cod was fresh and beautifully cooked in the most superb mouth watering beer batter. A couple of beers to wash it down and all was good. I would recommend this to any visitor although access for anyone with a disability may be a problem though in the summer the outdoor seating is safely on ground level. Beautiful building , great food.

Lovely place right by the docks - pretty flowers in the summer. Spacious outdoor area and great for a few evening drinks - has basic pub snacks /food too. Word is that Dickens was a frequent visitor here (as the name suggests) so it had a nice historical touch to it!

Truly horrible food. Tasteless, burnt. I had a burger with sweet fries, fries were burnt and burger was cold and tasteless. My friends had pizza, ribs and fries. They said the same, that the food is appalling. Such a nice location, one More

We went to the restaurant on the highest floor. The atmosphere was nice and cosy. However the service was extremely slow. We ordered bread and olives for a starter and they never brought it. Then our mains took forever to come, even though the restaurant wasn t busy at all. The food was also crazy expensive, but I guess that s London for you. Whilst waiting for a family member beforehand we ate at the bar below. The food was overpriced for what you got and not to a high standard, also they got our order wrong. Tbh I was quite disappointed with this place, expected better. However when the food, finally, came it wasn t half bad. This place is gamble...

Bouncers have some very strange rules:

Bouncers have some very strange rules:
1) Telling customers they have 5 mins to leave after they have purchased "last orders".
2) Telling customers they need to move to one side of the pub to make way for the waiters and waitresses despite there being a lot of space for them to make their way.
Strange pub run by strange people.

Beautiful place!

Beautiful place!
The beer not cold enough and a beggar walking outside between the tables.
Used to be a lot nicer and cleaner...

Wonderful location at scenic St Katherine's Dock, the pub dripping with colourful hanging baskets... Very photogenic. A fair selection of ales and lagers in a dark and expansive ale house...I'd have liked a bitter shandy but no bitter on offer... Still, we enjoyed our half hour there, and the beer garden outside was pompom full. Very popular in the sunshine...

Unfortunately the service was slow as others have mentioned it before. Took an hour for starters to arrive even though the place was almost empty. The soup of the day was dried tomato soup. Absolutely delicious soup with tasty soft bread on the side. The temperature of the rib eye steak was perfect, however the taste was absolutely horrible. The steak was bitter with rosemary and tasted like chewing on the herb itself. We had to wait another half an hour to place our dessert orders. They ran out of ice cream, which was hard to understand given that the place wasn't busy at all. This could have been easily avoided with some planning ahead, especially as ice cream isn't a perishable food. The home made brownie had the consistency of a chocolate sponge cake and tasted of gingerbread. The only reason for the 2 stars is the soup. I'm afraid to say that the kitchen here is plain bad. If in the Dickens Inn for food, visit the pizzaria downstairs.

Can't give anymore really as the toilets really let it down. The nappy changing toilet especially is awful. You will feel cleaner just doing it on the pavement outside! It is down a staff only lift into a backstage area in the basement and is basic and smells terribly of damp (amongst other things)

Visited on a weekday afternoon in August, lovely looking pub, stayed for a few beers and gins, outside seating area was nice and quiet away from sound of traffic. Nice place to chill in the sunshine, drinks wise good selection of beers, but gin just the mainstream stuff which was a bit of a let down. Otherwise it gets the thumbs up.

Beautiful place in the nice St. Catherine Docks area, right next to the Tower Bridge. 3 floors: pub, bar and restaurant. The 3rd floor restaurant is called The Grill, has a short but good menu. Had the chicken schnitzel which was very good and a nice italian Chardonnay. Very good place to check out.

Covid measures at overkill level, yet coupled with an inability to order drinks via the dedicated app (food only) from the tables. Daft, overpriced, poorly thought out. Would have been one star but for the friendly, helpful staff.

An exceptional pub down by St Katherine's. Exceptional service in all parts if the business, the Grill restaurant is perfect for a celebratory meal out, and they are an amazing wedding reception venue!

Came here in the middle of the week, it was quiet and empty and it's situated in a very picturesque area. It's beautiful. It was empty so was able to get a good look of the place (inside and out) and it was spacious and lovely. The only downside is that the ladies toilets are absolutely horrendous and dirty

Lovely, quirky little pub right near London Bridge station. When you go downstairs, there are little wooden seats and tables and cobbled stone walls and floors. Very old and traditional. I loved it there.

Always a great place to take visitors to London. Great location. 3 floors of food. Traditional, Pizza and grill. Great view from the second floor. Good service. Have a traditional fish and chips or a chicken burgers..
Choice is yours at this character pub by the river. Chance to admire a few yachts. If only o could afford one! Recommend venue.

I have been here twice with the idea to have dinner. First time with friends from overseas and we got drinks at the bar and they handed over the lunch menu when we asked if they were serving dinner (at 7pm on a Sunday).

Second time my boyfriend brought me here for drinks and dinner; the bar staff gave the wrong drink order (only people at the bar) and got annoyed when we corrected them, and made a show of giving the beer we asked for, if and then when we asked for a dinner menu that wasn't wet from the bar they said we could get it at the door (again only lunch menus) and wouldn't help.

Absolutely disgusting service both times! When a pub is in such a lovely area you expect good staff and service! This is the first time I felt the need to review!!!
