Great atmosphere. Good quality food. A nice place ...
Great atmosphere. Good quality food. A nice place for all ages
Great atmosphere. Good quality food. A nice place for all ages
Good choice of beers, pleasant staff, good food and a pretty stunning location especially in the evening.
Lovely old pub. Great atmosphere. Don't like paying London prices though!
Had a lovely pizza, wedges and drinks, good service, tasty food, beautiful setting and building.
For such a beautiful old pub, it is a shame that the ambience inside doesn't match because it is completely ruined by loud plastic pop music blasted from the TVs. It was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves speak. Why have TVs on in a pub with such history? Unless it is for sport I suppose. A jukebox would be good. It's nice to sit outside if you can find a seat.
Lacks lighting inside, dark, but great old fashioned building unique
A great pub tucked away in the corner very busy but planty of seats outside.
Building itself is quite cool. The pub is overpriced, especially for food. Beer is beer and selection is not bad.
Large pub with great outdoor space and reasonable selection of drinks.
Has a range of different eating experiences on 3 separate floors. This place is a tourist magnet and gets full very quickly all year round, meals are well priced for London however it is very standard chain food but fairly consistent.
Food is terrible and completely overpriced. Staff is unfriendly. Looks nice from the outside but had an awful experience and will definitely never go back.
Pleasant location, not overly pricey, nice selection of beers
Good Food and Drinks. Waiter was very very who worked nice at the grill.
We want to come back next time
Nice food ...service could be a bit better..overall not a bad place especially on hot summers day sitting outside
Hands down the best meal we've had in London! Highly recommend!
Been here for the last 3 to 4 years every year, nice pub
Great food, beef was excellent and the service was fab. A hidden gem in the middle if a busy city.
We went there in a hot day and sat outside on the deck. Had few cocktails and carried on our tour. Cocktails were great. It s located in cute hidden yacht port.
Had an excellent early dinner that was not fussy. Food was full of flavor and well presented. Wait staff was attentive, but not overly so. I would return again if I did not live 13,000 miles away.
Looks beautiful but the inside is a little dated. Gorgeous views of st Katherine s dock
Nice location for this pub/restaurant in a 18th century building in a restored dock and shipping area. The food was good enough to bring us back a couple of days later for another meal and the service was prompt and attentive. Go there, you'll like it.
Food is really nice but quite expensive for what you get. Drinks are worse. Very expensive
Best pub in the local area. Pity they had a DJ on so early though-the pub is trying to be something it is not. It should embrace its tradition instead.
Historic pub in St. Catherine's Dock. I like to go back to this pub as it brings back great memories from my time working in London in the late 70s. In those days it was heaving at lunchtime with all the business people drinking pint after pint of ale and everyone was smoking. The floor was covered in sawdust - I kid you not. Nowadays I was one of 6 people in there on a Tuesday lunchtime. I had the fish and chips and it was very nice. Worth a visit if you fancy a change from all the usual brand named places.
It's in a good location at St Katherine's dock. The place looks great especially when lit up at night. Bumping atmosphere every time I've been there - day or night. Food's not bad but the breakfasts are very good.
Felt a bit old and run down. Food and drink was fine.
Waited an hour for bad food. It's what the foreign view is of London after all... Embarrassing!
Average food. Tried to charge us for more than we had drank. Will never return.
I ordered a pint of beer here. I did not know really what that would be. It was alot of beer. I drank it all and it was good. I got drunk and had troubkle trying to pay my bill but it is nice place to have big beer,
Stop by after seeing the most famous bridge in London. The food was really great especially the burger.
A beautiful pub, good selection of drinks and good food... Set in a lovely location. Its always busy and you still don't have to wait to be served!
Great experience every time, cannot fault it
Gem of a place loaded chicken burger was superb 5/5
The place is very unique and set in a lovely area. Food is good but slightly over priced.
Good location near St. Catherine Wharf. Decor is very good. Wide selection of wines. The restaurant offers western cuisine and super big pizza. Presentation is good while pizza base can be firmer.
Meat (steak) is good, but maybe a bit expensive for the quality. Service is very good. The burgers looked yummy.
Cosy, large but pricey! Unusual area for London but close to tourist attractions
Great atmosphere, great service, great location. Even tho I was drinking Heineken 0 beer, yuk.
Fantastic country pub that's somehow in London. Proper pints too! (Judging by other reviews it probably depends on when you go, my review is Sunday lunch time)
Great pub with an authentic Dickensian feel and a wide selection of ales.
Not that good as we only had 1 round of drinks and it was expensive, seams like the bar staff charge whatever they like and they were not very helpful.
Great afternoon with friends. Always a busy place so get there early
Great place near the dock to have a drink. Does become quite crowded at peak times but I mean that in a good sense. It's not too loud to stop you enjoying the views and London nightlife vibes.
Beautiful historical building inside and out. Very nice place to go with friends and family for most occasions and quite fairly priced. Would recommend going here either as a starter or end of night as it is very lively.
Still a nice pub, but was better 30 years ago before the marina was developed
Brings you in the Dickens mood. Excellent service. Fish & chips could be better.
Based on the pub itself rather than the restaurants upstairs. I ordered a drink and food here. They were busy but I have to say the service was slightly rubbish and it was a bit chaotic.. the food order for my friend and I was also wrong and even though we informed the waiter they never came back and corrected it. I would come back here for a drink and a social as I like the venue itself and it has a good mix of patrons but I would only get food from the restaurant or pizzeria upstairs.
Yes it is a tourist place. But it is a very large building so there most likely will always be a place to sit. Cool place at the docks. Bring your wallet!
A popular spot. Despite its large size, it still tends to get very busy. Beers on tap offer a fairly standard selection, not overly pricey which is a relief given location. Would recommend for groups in the evening. I'd always be happy to go, can't knock it.
Nice gastro pub with a great outside area and tasty food. Is a bit pricey altogether though.
Love this pub as for its old architecture and cleverly using or rather recycling an old warehouse. Love all the flowers outside as well. Quite a busy pub. Staff are friendly.
If you will be able to find the location of this pub go for it. You won't regret the visit.
The food was of good quality, although the portion seemed a little small for my "large starter as main" variant of fishcakes. We were sat outside on the top floor restaurant, which the staff managed to accommodate us even though it was busy and we were a walk in group. The food and drink was a little expensive, and for those wishing to drink beer the selection was limited unless you wanted to walk down 2 floors to the bar and buy separately.
Nice decor. Lots of space. Never too busy on upper floors.
I love going here when we visit London. Dont even mind it's full of hooray Henries and Henriettas
This is a solid place to eat,not too expensive and quite tasty.
I'd say The Dickens Inn is one of the best pub in London because of its location and the atmosphere of the place. I'll definitely come here again soon!
The waiter and manager was rude. The waiter brought me the wrong meal and then proceeded to bring me an under cooled steak. After a few minutes of wasting our time and arguing with us we left extremely dissatisfied and hungry this is the worst meal and experience we have had in a very long time
Worst wine ever. DO NOT DRINK WINE THERE AS YOU WILL BE SICK. I REPEAT WORST WINE EVER.
Good surroundings clean toilets good service what more do you need
Beautiful building in a quite area with loads of space, great food and drinks
Great pub with outdoor seating which is the best. Beautiful setting with all the flowers. The inside is very different and looks like an apres ski chalet. Can get busy
Great building, but the food is very expensive for its average quality and the toilets look like they haven't been refurbished since the 70s.
Nice place with a good vibe and good food. Service could be a bit better, but still a nice place
Great hidden place and lovely lights at night time. Lovely beer!
I have to say I was really looking forward to trying this place out, tucked away amongst a plethora of other foodie haunts, I was sat outside over looking London bridge and the boats, not bad, I even had some friends to keep me company. Unfortunately the food was just about standard and the price did not match, the staff were friendly but a 12% compulsory service charge on the mediocre over priced steak was the cost I was forced to pay for the privilege. It lost a because regardless of how great the location, venue and staff are if you can't produce the goods at the price your charging, then your unlikely to get return customers. Just as well I was only visiting so your regulars will be none the wiser. Thanks anyway I did enjoy the evening overall and the place had a great vibe.
Beautiful place in St Catherine's Dock... Full of ... flowers!!!
Lovely location. Many floors of drinking and dining available overlooking St Katherine's dock. Good variety of beers with sports available on many TVs.
It's was terrible I have never had such a bad meal if that's what you could call it 22th July
Enjoyed it. Them boats must be high maintenance though so I'm suspicious of who hangs around by here.
Nice pub, drinks not overly expensive, seeing as it's right next door to one of London's leading tourist attractions. So fair play to whoever owns it.
Bit out of the way, but a nice pub once you get there, reasonable selection of beers
Great place for a beer! Nice view and lovely building. Really worth a visit.
You could tell that this place has been around forever. Drinks are very affordable and the bar staff get to you quickly. If I wanted to hangout with friends and lose track of time over a couple of drinks, I d definitely come back here
Great location, the pub Is beautiful - mainly during Spring and Summer with all those flowers - the outside area is the best. Food is overpriced though and can get a bit too busy with tourists sometimes.
Great food and a nice atmosphere. Go there and enjoy a nice break.
Pleasant pub in St Katherine's Docks but the claim of Best Burger in London is overstated.
Good pub with nice outdoor seating to enjoy the summer sun. Prices are higher than they should be, even for this area & the food is a bit average. But all in all its not bad
Food was nice but nothing special. Better options in the same area. Recommended by the Hotel where we stayed in but it wasn't a great choice. Staff was lovely.
Only had a few drinks on Wed night and it was very busy. Have not tried any food so cant comment. Nice place in a lovely location in docks.
Fish and chips very small piece of fish and batter soft soggy. The Hamburger was very good.
Very cute, hidden gem of London! You can sit out on the terrace (though only until quarter to ten) or play foosball inside. The beers are not the cheapest, but they come in generously big glasses. The sweet cider is worth trying.
Great location and lovely pub/restaurant to have drinks. Just a bit on the pricey side.
Top floor of a lovely old building in St Katharine Dock overlooking the wharf. The food is good but it took some persistence to find staff who had knowledge of gluten free meals and were willing to help. There are not many options but what there is are very good. Would visit again
