For such a beautiful old pub, it is a shame that the ambience inside doesn't match because it is completely ruined by loud plastic pop music blasted from the TVs. It was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves speak. Why have TVs on in a pub with such history? Unless it is for sport I suppose. A jukebox would be good. It's nice to sit outside if you can find a seat.

Has a range of different eating experiences on 3 separate floors. This place is a tourist magnet and gets full very quickly all year round, meals are well priced for London however it is very standard chain food but fairly consistent.

Had an excellent early dinner that was not fussy. Food was full of flavor and well presented. Wait staff was attentive, but not overly so. I would return again if I did not live 13,000 miles away.

Nice location for this pub/restaurant in a 18th century building in a restored dock and shipping area. The food was good enough to bring us back a couple of days later for another meal and the service was prompt and attentive. Go there, you'll like it.

Historic pub in St. Catherine's Dock. I like to go back to this pub as it brings back great memories from my time working in London in the late 70s. In those days it was heaving at lunchtime with all the business people drinking pint after pint of ale and everyone was smoking. The floor was covered in sawdust - I kid you not. Nowadays I was one of 6 people in there on a Tuesday lunchtime. I had the fish and chips and it was very nice. Worth a visit if you fancy a change from all the usual brand named places.

It's in a good location at St Katherine's dock. The place looks great especially when lit up at night. Bumping atmosphere every time I've been there - day or night. Food's not bad but the breakfasts are very good.

Good location near St. Catherine Wharf. Decor is very good. Wide selection of wines. The restaurant offers western cuisine and super big pizza. Presentation is good while pizza base can be firmer.

Great place near the dock to have a drink. Does become quite crowded at peak times but I mean that in a good sense. It's not too loud to stop you enjoying the views and London nightlife vibes.

Beautiful historical building inside and out. Very nice place to go with friends and family for most occasions and quite fairly priced. Would recommend going here either as a starter or end of night as it is very lively.

Based on the pub itself rather than the restaurants upstairs. I ordered a drink and food here. They were busy but I have to say the service was slightly rubbish and it was a bit chaotic.. the food order for my friend and I was also wrong and even though we informed the waiter they never came back and corrected it. I would come back here for a drink and a social as I like the venue itself and it has a good mix of patrons but I would only get food from the restaurant or pizzeria upstairs.

A popular spot. Despite its large size, it still tends to get very busy. Beers on tap offer a fairly standard selection, not overly pricey which is a relief given location. Would recommend for groups in the evening. I'd always be happy to go, can't knock it.

The food was of good quality, although the portion seemed a little small for my "large starter as main" variant of fishcakes. We were sat outside on the top floor restaurant, which the staff managed to accommodate us even though it was busy and we were a walk in group. The food and drink was a little expensive, and for those wishing to drink beer the selection was limited unless you wanted to walk down 2 floors to the bar and buy separately.

This is a solid place to eat,not too expensive and quite tasty.
I'd say The Dickens Inn is one of the best pub in London because of its location and the atmosphere of the place. I'll definitely come here again soon!

The waiter and manager was rude. The waiter brought me the wrong meal and then proceeded to bring me an under cooled steak. After a few minutes of wasting our time and arguing with us we left extremely dissatisfied and hungry this is the worst meal and experience we have had in a very long time

I have to say I was really looking forward to trying this place out, tucked away amongst a plethora of other foodie haunts, I was sat outside over looking London bridge and the boats, not bad, I even had some friends to keep me company. Unfortunately the food was just about standard and the price did not match, the staff were friendly but a 12% compulsory service charge on the mediocre over priced steak was the cost I was forced to pay for the privilege. It lost a because regardless of how great the location, venue and staff are if you can't produce the goods at the price your charging, then your unlikely to get return customers. Just as well I was only visiting so your regulars will be none the wiser. Thanks anyway I did enjoy the evening overall and the place had a great vibe.

You could tell that this place has been around forever. Drinks are very affordable and the bar staff get to you quickly. If I wanted to hangout with friends and lose track of time over a couple of drinks, I d definitely come back here

Great location, the pub Is beautiful - mainly during Spring and Summer with all those flowers - the outside area is the best. Food is overpriced though and can get a bit too busy with tourists sometimes.

Very cute, hidden gem of London! You can sit out on the terrace (though only until quarter to ten) or play foosball inside. The beers are not the cheapest, but they come in generously big glasses. The sweet cider is worth trying.

Top floor of a lovely old building in St Katharine Dock overlooking the wharf. The food is good but it took some persistence to find staff who had knowledge of gluten free meals and were willing to help. There are not many options but what there is are very good. Would visit again
