The fall festival this year was great. It was spread out all over rather then being in one area like in previous years. We really enjoy taking advantage of what they have to offer. Great place.

Beautiful place to enjoy nature. Take a walk by yourself, a friend and/or with you dogs and soak in all of the peaceful elements. Highly recommend if you're feeling stressed and just want to get away for a couple hours.

Dawes is a beautiful relaxing place to spend the day. 45 min doesn't quite do it for me. When I set out for the day, I'm looking to relax and leave my stress on the trails. Yes the Japanese garden is beautiful and relaxing, but don't let that keep you from heading up to the overlook above the canopy. This overlooks a beautiful pond and the words "Dawes Arboretum" spelled out across the field of many beautiful trees and shrubs. Then you can trek on over to the pond where you can cross a short bridge to a little island towards the middle of the pond. A great place to sit for a moment relax and take in everything mother nature has to offer. There are plenty of picnic tables, benches, and comfy little nooks to relax or read a book in the fresh air. This is great for your physical and mental health.... Enjoy!!

Grew up in the area. Very upset about the changes. Charging to get in and issuing fines for people taking pictures? I had my wedding photos and senior pictures done there. It's super disappointing how they're limiting people going there

I grew up visiting Dawes and this is where we got married. Our most recent visit was at 10 am on a Monday. (Due to covid you currently have to register for an arrival time.) The weather was great and we didn't see a lot of other people. The current story on the story trail is Mother Bruce.

Beautiful, beautiful haven for nature lovers. You can walk, bike, or even drive thru and enjoy all the spendid landscaping and preservation of trees, bushes, and perennials. A must see for nature lovers. Wonderful legacy of preservation.

Very pleasant place to be. Costs $10 per adult. 5 and under are free. Most buildings are closed and locked up so you can't go in them or see them. You're paying to walk around nature. I only took pictures when we sat down near the pond. Lots of different plants definitely something to see if you're into nature or horticulture.

I love this place! It's so beautiful my only suggestion is that it could use a small play ground for the little one's and maybe a few swing sets placed around the paths. Cause who wouldn't love to be able to swing as they take in it's beauty! :)

We were so Thankful in receiving a gift membership. This was our first time visiting and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The grounds are stunning, beautifully maintained, far too much to see and learn about than one day allows. We look forward to returning soon with friends and family.

Outstanding collection of Hamamelis (witch hazel) trees in late winter bloom.
Also, surprising to see the Bald Cypress trees in the bog or swamp portion of the arboretum.
A very appreciated surprise along I-70!

Need to stop and smell the flowers and trees? This is the place to go. Bring a picnic lunch and meander through several trails. Check out the new additional buildings that have been placed down by the pond.
