Plenty to explore at all seasons, from the manicured Japanese garden to acres of natural forest. Miles of well-labelled walking trails.
Plenty to explore at all seasons, from the manicured Japanese garden to acres of natural forest. Miles of well-labelled walking trails.
A real gem in the botanical world, and improving each year. Spread out over hundreds of acres, excellent and varied plant collections. Many trails to explore. Japanese garden and visitor center handicap accessible. Many programs offered.
Beautiful! Wonderful place. Thank you Sawed family.
Used to be a beautiful place to visit. Now they are charging outrageous prices. It's a shame because families can no longer enjoy it.
Love this place as it's crowded at all and i can enjoy the nature. However it's not 5 star due to a lot of maintenance going on and facilities closed because of covid-19
I've been been visiting here since I was a young child and it's provided me with many wonderful memories, especially those involving my mother, who's now dead, but my memories of her live on, including whenever I visit here. It's such a beautiful and peaceful place. I particularly enjoy the Japanese Garden and the "lake." The Arbor Day Festival here is a great annual family event.
Beautuful well layed out place with a pond and observation tower. South end of Arboretum.
Make an arrival reservation. Not crowded. Employees wear masks. Beautiful activity for a cloudless day.
This is a Hidden Gem in Ohio! You can walk several miles through the trails they have beautiful gardens great information about birds in the area Etc and it's never crowded super peaceful and a wonderful way to unwind.
Pick a season, any season, it's the perfect time for a hike at Dawes! Become a member and join the fun with all sorts of seasonal activities. Lots of activities for children, teen, and very informative ones for adults. Dawes is also a goid resource for questions you may have regarding the plants and trees in your landscape.
Grew up here. Loved spending my childhood here. From sledding in the winter to bike riding in the summer
1st time visiting during the winter months. Some roads was close, but the Japanese Garden was amazing as always
It was I'm sorry, very disappointing. Very few tree varieties to choose from, and no handicapped parking. Had to park WAY over the hill, and hobble my way to the event. Shuttles were limited to nill. A lot of visitors were walking though the grass to save steps. They could have at least mowed a path. Wishing them a better show next year.
A beautiful place for a hike especially this time of year, when the trees are so colorful. The Japanese garden is my favorite spot.
Love this place, sad you have to pay to drive through now.
Great place to walk around during the summer months. Has a bit of wildlife
Such an amazing place to go to. I've been going there since I have been a baby, it is now one of my favorite places to go. I don't know who takes care of Dawes, but whoever it is does an amazing job!!
Dawes is a freebie. You can become a member of you want. Membership allows you access to events and exhibits, but there is a lot to see for free! It's great for all ages. Some of the areas are shady, some are in full sun. You'll probably want to bring water. There is a water fountain near the entrance, but there's a lot of acreage.
One of the best arboretum's in ohio. It is very big and it has a lot gardens, barns and lakes
Just overall relly nice
The daees arboretum is a magical place where you and children can enjoy nature.
Nice, very nice place to enjoy walking and thinking. The only thing is that they started to charge $10 bucks for a person. Yeah, good old times are gone
Great place to go! I go there frequently for pictures or to wonder around!
A beautiful place. Been there quite a few times over the years, recently went to enjoy the day with my daughter and to my surprise they now charge. Had I known this I would have went earlier in the day to get my money's worth as we arrived at 3 and they closed at 6:30.
Great view of awesome park. A hidden gem in central ohio
Great programs for kids of all ages, wonderful walking/running paths. We all love visiting!
A great place to go and still keep social distance while enjoying nature
In the spring they will begin requiring membership. :-(
Used to be free I guess it's not anymore but other than that great place.
We are so fortunate to have had this beautiful arboretum near our home town. It is huge and every turn you make when driving is a new experience but make sure to allow time to walk through some of the various areas. You will want to visit Welcome Center at the entrance. Folks there have loads of information they would love to share!
Such a beautiful place around fall time!! Gives you something different to do!!
Beautiful spot and one of Licking County's treasures in any season.
Beautiful! If you go of the pavement you'll find some of the best spots.
Beautifully maintained trails with tags on the trees and bushes so you could identify them.
Beautiful landscaping. Many trees and shrubs tagged and identified. Plenty of walking trails, plus driving loops.
