I always enjoy the Flatiron Building on 23rd Street & Broadway/5th Avenue.

The building itself is not a small building by any means. When you first see the Flatiron Building, the odd triangular shape of it will impress one. The building was solidly builded and thus have withstand the elements of Mother Nature.

There is a pedestrian mall or walk right in front of the building, and there are tables and chairs for folks to sit and rest a bit, and for folks to have a sip of something and or lunch.

The view looking north will give you the Empire State Building on 34th Street, and North of the building on 23rd Street is Madison Square Park.

The Flatiron district is a great place to visit on a nice summer day.

Wow! A voice comes out. It's not as thick as a wall. What is the building that contains it? I was watching the park for a while. But when viewed from above with the empire, it was a solid triangle. Surprising.

The Flatiron Building is 1 of the most recognizable buildings in New York City.

The Flatiron Building is a triangular shape building, and it quite impressive to look at.

The Flatiron Building is located at 175 5th Avenue, between W. 22nd and W. 23rd Street.

In front of the Flatiron Building on 5th Avenue is a pedestrian plaza with tables and chairs for folks to have lunch and whatnot, and there are also benches.

There is a bonus from this vantage point, you can see the Empire State Building on 34th Street.

The area is somewhat between Greenwich Village and Chelsea. It is surrounded by famous landmarks and public parks like Union Square Park. Madison Square Park, Herald Square, Chelsea Piers, Gramacy Park and Murray Hill.

The Flatiron District is what folks who lives near there have been calling the area.

Emblematic and iconic site of New York architecture, not because it is very impressive but because it has appeared in hundreds of films. The first of the many places I visited when New York arrived.

Stunning architecture, of course. Lobby attendant very friendly and informative. The lobby has some historical photos and descriptions that are worth reading/viewing. Fun visit. Recommend you finish the visit by walking across the corner to Eataly for cannoli and expresso then sit in Madison Square Park.

The Flatiron Building is a 22-story landmark you can't miss. Grab a photo in front of it for the gram. If you're lucky, some random guy will hand you a giant sunflower and help you embrace the extra-ness.
