My appointments were given every 4 to 5 weeks it has taken 7 months and when I went to finally pick them up the gums were purple.Then they tell me they will redue them by using some of my old molds. First of all my old molds will not work since I'v been gumming my food for 7 months my impressions are going to be different and I doubt they would keep peoples old impressions. I do want to add that Dr.Franks seems to be very professional and easy to talk to my only real complaint is the denture technician how does a professional technician make your denture gums bright purple?

Made dental appointment. New patient. Arrived on time to do paperwork. Staff/office wanted to pass time and decided to not direct me to the secret office for paperwork. Everybody said I was late. Left office mad, and complained to Director of office.
This place is awesome ive had nothing but kindness and amazing care been going jere over a year my doctor is one of the best I have ever had they have several departments to help you with mulitpy services ive been to sutter and other places this place is really good I am.more impressed each time I come no place is perfect but they strive to improve i love it here

There is a woman here working at the front desk downstairs. I have seen 3 people get upset about their situation such as insurance issues or some sort of documentation and they have raised their voice at her she responds with kindness in her voice each time. I am super impressed by the amount of professionalism she exudes. Nothing but nice things to say so far at this office.
My personal experience has been a mixed one as the Optometrist was very through and professional but the dispensing team and the Front Desk/ Records staff need a LOT of retraining on their jobs! Gave out false date for delivery of my eyeglasses, (I can't see properly or safely without them.), denied doing so when called on it, contacted another family member about the eyeglasses instead of me, failed to file my contact and other information correctly in my main file, etc. Each time I tried to address this I have gotten the old brush off with the occasional "We will fix it so it does not happen again." I am also the Medical Power of Attorney for an individual who goes to the clinic and we have had the same experience records wise and in person! HIPPA violations are serious matters and not something to make light of in my opinion. Talking to the higher ups has failed to improve things so far.
This review is only for dental, first they canceled my appointment when I only one minute late. (When I was informed that they have a 5 minute grace period). Not only that last year when I had my wisdom teeth removed they gave me a referral for the wrong teeth. I still have pain in my wisdom teeth that I wanted removed. But also had to suffer the pain of getting the wrong teeth removed. Horrible place, and the people at the first desk are extremely rude.
Dr Asher is truly one of the most kindest, warmest, professional Doctor I have ever had. The staff at the front desk are always kind and respectful. Every experience I've ever had, was always top of the line. As a patient you wonder if today in 2020 there are still healthcare workers that are willing to help...well the individuals here at SacNative DO!!! Never made it inside. Ghetto people in parking lot, even 1 who earlier cut me off and then about to get off car with my newborn and lady passing in chair with cigarette as two guys walk out entrance and light up immediately on exiting. One guy raised his arms at me then walked toward my car looking into my window mouthing something like a pick up. I had got right back in car because I will not have cigarette on me or Baby. I just cancelled and will go somewhere not so ghetto. Lots of sketchy people loitering all around perimeter too.
If your looking to get substandard care this is the place to go. If your looking to receive medications that actually helps the problem you should look else where. Be advised if your in need of pain management due to the substandard care at snahc and use any marijuana products to self medicate because the prescription given by snahc is insufficient be aware they will punish and not allow you to go to pain management. They denied me because I needed to use something for the constant pain and marijuana helped. After a blood test as part of the approval process to be accepted into pain management. I had pit in my blood so they have denied me care.
I have been going here for over a year. Good staff, good doctors good everything. I missed 2 appointments due to poor health, sickness, and was kicked out of the clinic, how does that help me and my health? Oh, you take private pay now, that explains alot.
My Dr. was very helpful and even thw other Dr. that I was seeing if my Dr. was not available. The ladies in the front office were always friendly and helpful. I no longer qualify to go there but I recommend the good service they provide.
Rarely do I go to the Dentist. Just recently I ve been having toothaches and registered here. They checked on me and instead of helping me that day they gave me pain relievers which didn t help and Sched an appt 3wks later which is today. Through the process they flood you w call reminders and as I show up an hour early - Admin says that the Dr just went home and have to resched. !?!? I m in pain and I Sched off work, geez so I m waiting hoping another Dr can see me. Should have a back up plan! I m here early - ugh then they switched me 2x for today and then took 3 other patients ahead of me and took a lady who was late!
I've only received services at the Dental Offices but I am more than pleased with the front staff, their professionalism and the awesome doctors and hygienist. I also love Culture is Prevention. Keep up the good work SNAHC!
The doctors here are great..but ANNA MARIE at the front answering phones is the rudest, most obnoxious person I've ever encountered! Not only was she completely incompetent, not even able to figure out my husband's birtbdate, after being told 3 times, she must be dyslexic, she then proceeded to call ME rude and tell me she can disconnect the call at any time!! My hubsand and I have been patients for over 2 yrs and NEVER have i had to deal with this immaturity... Makes me want to switch providers. When I spoke with the office manager " Renee" she apologized for her rude staff member and encouraged me to file a grievance against ANNA MARIE!! Which I DEFINITELY will be doing!! Poor poor business ethics!!
Dental litterly killed my mother twice and all she was going in for was root canals. I mental health is not sensitive when comes to children questioning their identity, horrible for making appointments for mental health,dental,and medical... native american clinic but your native patients are left in the dark when comes to anything the clinic has to offer as well as showing up 1 hr early and not getting in to appointment 2 hrs late. Take care of your patience or shut back down until s9meone can run it properly.
This is the most amazing doctors office an medical team I have ever had in my life an a solid key to my success I have made as of lately to be % healthier an better than have ever been on just doing things on my own with there help.i thank them an pray that I can continue to have them in my life for lot years to come I feel I am honestly going to need them.
I was in for a fibroid and the doctors refused to give me pain pills and basically told me I was over reacting. she referred me to the ER if I felt like it was emergency. she treated me like I was some kind of drug addict. after I Went to emergency They gave me a 2 week supply of Nor co because the found out I had a fibroid as big as a baseball. They referred me to chappa day in Auburn and they did blood test right away and referred me to a specialist. I ended up needed surgery. I"m feeling better now back to work and everything pain free. The Doctors are always coming and going. I might be wrong but i think they are all interns.
Everyone is respectful and helpful. Only thing I don't like is trying to get ahold of a doctor by phone. The MA's hardly ever answer the phone and almost never return a message.
The worst dental clinic in Sacramento area, I just Chang my clinic, they have only one doctor in the clinic everyone like waiting for doctor. Please guys Chang your clinic if you die of pain they don t care about you.
UPDATE: I HAVE LEFT ERIC MULTIPLE VOICEMAILS AND EMAILS. THERE HAS BEEN NO COMMUNICATION. IVE CALLED SNAHC DIRECTLY AND THEY TRANSFERRED ME JUST NOW AND WOWWWWW ANOTHER VOICEMAIL. IS THIS FOR REAL?!?!?!?!?

They scheduled me an appointment when they were closed for Veterans Day. They even sent a confirmation text for the appointment two days prior so I assumed no reason they d be close. I took off work and I get to their building. LONG BEHOLD THEYRE CLOSED. Thanks for wasting my morning and the PTO I wasted.
Also, I ve been calling for a week NO ANSWER. I ve left messages. NO RETURN CALLED.
Don't take your dogs here. If you are actually ill with more than ONE health issue at a time, you will be waiting MONTHS for a referral. Shame on this place. Literally contributing to my early death. Sacramento needs more places that ACCEPT MediCal. Great place if you have no health problems. Let that sink in. It's allegedly a clinic.
Updates- dental will try to tell you you have many cavities because that's where their bread and butter is. Get a second opinion because they only fill ONE cavity per visit with MediCal, which is draconian.
Lacks gynecology services despite having services for trans folk (great to be inclusive, but not many downtown places for gyn take MediCal, so maybe putting a gyn in there to serve the half of the population who needs gyn services is important)... not a competition but I noticed trans persons being served respectfully, awesome, but nothing for cis women... so not a good place for cis women needing gyn care/referrals.
Lacks many other specialties and I am actually a believer in chiropracty, but have reasons to suspect the one they have there.
Can't speak to the "community programming" they seem to be big on to disguise that they don't actually administer care well.
Mental health is stuck in the 1950s, bad attitudes about actually seeking mental health, "you shouldn't need medication," very discouraging and backwards thinking. Therapists appear to be interns, will not disclose credentials, do not seem very experienced or professional.
Also, an absurd and punitive lateness "policy," on their clock, not yours, selectively enforced, and denying that not everyone is a motorist...being 5 minutes late is hardly late in the medical world, I have never had an on-time doctor, including here.
As someone else noted, when starting care here,they attempted to alter/discontinue a non-narcotic medication I had been on for years (with reason & documentation), which is NOT standard medical practice.
And, as others have noted, they refuse to give sleep or pain medication--maybe if you're elderly, I wouldn't know (apparently young people never have sleep or pain issues, good to know all my problems are solved). Overall, one of the worst clinics I have ever been to, and, as a disabled person, I know clinics. Anything more than a note for school/employer totally overwhelms them. In my opinion, they should be shut down because they take public funding and do very little with it.
Another red flag- asking about your birth control use at every appointment (even mental health, which makes zero sense), because that's where their funding comes from and they only care about funding. The office itself is not run down, but their policies and procedures are, and the incompetence is beyond belief. They could not even obtain my prior medical records despite my giving authorization. I was doing the work of their admin staff because their admin staff wasn't doing it, thanks for assuming your patients have nothing else to do but check up on you to find you NOT doing your job. Referrals should not take months, period.
I signed up as a patient and was given Dr. Far(something)far. He refused to refill the same medication I've been taking for over two years (with records to prove it) He refused to address depression concerns, saying I would have to be seen by a psychologist but that it would take 1-2 months to get in. He knows I have degenerative disc disease and that I was out of medication days ago. He said he wanted blood work done, but didn't put a rush on it - and I'm the one that has to wait in agony. To knowingly make someone suffer for days is sadistic and wrong.
I love this place! Everyone is loving and kind. A perfect blend of Western medicine and Holistic/Spiritual healing. THANK YOU SACRAMENTO NATIVE AMERICAN HEALTH!
Well I used to work there I think they need to improve on how they train their employees some employees train different just like people so they should really find out how to train their employees right and they won't have to let go of good people.
Horrible service, not organized, never coming back. There s too much homeless wandering around. Druggies are everywhere and the staff do nothing of it. This place is dirty and the waiting take hours. They told us to come for a appointment, to later find out it was just a registration application. The staff rarely pay attention to the customers. Stay AWAY, its not worth your time.
