Great service, only spent the night but staff were very friendly and happy to help. Bar was lovely and they held onto our bags for us which was ideal. Great location right next to the station and staff were happy to advise on where to go out.

Quite tatty inside and staff disrespectful and loud, banging trays and singing in a kitchen next door to the room where I attended for a important exam, even after being asked to be quiet.

Very comfortable stay. There was a note in the room making us aware that the hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment. It looked to me that the room and area we stayed, had been updated. Would recommend and would definitely stay again. It's straight across the road from central station.

Rally nice hotel. Decor is really nice with a lovely staircase and it has lifts to all floors too. Rooms are lovely and cleaned/hoovered daily. It does get quite loud as it's in the centre of town but that's to be expected, it's not so bad when you have the windows closed. Would definitely stay here again. Excellent for anyone wanting to stay in the city.

A very busy hotel on the weekend we stayed. The public rooms are very impressive but I cannot say the same for our room. For the price I would have expected much more. The room was small and the bed was more three quarters than double. It didn't help that it was pushed against the wall. All the furniture was dated making the room look dated and tired. This was also reflected in the bathroom which had a high ceiling and just a towel rail for heating making it feel very cold. Our sleep was disturbed by drunks in the corridor outside our room possibly from a function going on in the hotel. On a plus side the staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were very good also the location was good for Newcastle's attractions.

Absolutely disgusted. Room not ready for 3pm booking in time. Booked double bed to be giving 2 single. Were moved to a room with a double.
We were woke up at 1.30am with water dripping on us from the ceiling. Night manager come to our room seen the water leaking from ceiling and moved us to another room at 1.45 am.
Went to check out and make a complaint. We were then told they could actually bill us for the mattresses and new room as there was no evidence of the leaking ceiling. They went on to say but we won't...
You won't you bloody can't your ceiling was leaking we have video evidence goodluck with billing us as we are taking it further you are an absolute disgrace.
Manager thinks she can bully people well you have just picked the wrong one.
I will prove what I'm saying is right and you know I'm right. Look around for elsewhere to stay. It's unsafe and should not be even let out considering they know about this problem from a previous guest already telling them it also woke him up dripping on him

It's pretty grand looking, but that's a facade. The room hadn't been that we'll maintained and looked like it was due a refurb. There was only one power socket that I could see, no USB, and the facilities weren't as nice as the premier Inn I stayed in a few days later. Breakfast was pretty standard, nothing particularly special and the coffee was drinkable but weaker than I'd have liked.

The big plus was the bathroom, it was large and there was an actual bath in it. It also had a window.

Very disappointed this years with their Christmas lunch with santa. Food portions very small not worth the price and the vegetables were very aldente. Will not be booking up next year. Previous years were much better. what a let down!!!

The staff here are amazing!
Colleen literally opened up the kitchen early for us as we had to be out for work early, she was so gracious and attentive and it was greatly appreciated!
In the evening the girl on the restaurant managed to squeeze us in even though they were very full as we had forgotten to book a table.
The reception staff were lovely and polite too.
Having the on site car parking is brilliant and even though it was full when I arrived I just gave my keys to reception and they moved my car for me when a space became available.
I would highly recommend this Hotel and will definitely be staying here next time I come to newcastle.

Stayed here with my partner for a 2 night break and I cannot describe how disappointed I was with our stay. Our room was hot and in desperate need of refurbishment. We were woken by cleaning staff both mornings at 8am as they were shouting down the corridors. When taking a shower, the towels in our room were badly stained, we mentioned it to the cleaners but they didn t seem surprised. Also, we reported a couple of issues to the reception staff and we found them quite rude/dismissive. Overall, really disappointed with the hotel quality for the price paid (not including breakfast).

I would only recommend this hotel for convenience and not comfort.

We stayed with a 3 month old for a wedding. We were put in a large room with two double beds but the room was on the 1st floor and quite loud (understandably as in the middle of Newcastle). I asked if they could do anything and all the staff could not be more helpful, the hotel was pretty booked out due to the wedding but they managed to find us a room on the 5th floor that was quiet and apologised as it was a normal sized room!

Throughout our stay the staff were more than helpful and always asked how we were, couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Really friendly hotel in great location to explore Newcastle. Our room (an accessible room with wetroom) was slightly dated and maybe a bit tired looking. There was also a little noise from the streets during the night, but not surprising considering the fact that it's directly opposite the station and on the doorstep of the fantastic nightlife that the city has to offer. I'd highly recommend this hotel. It's of a good standard, with fantastic staff, an amazing location and a very reasonable price.

Location is fantastic. I was sceptical that since its right opposite the central station, there'd be an issue with noise, but nope! Slept like a quiet baby all night. Sadly, the alarm wake up I requested didnt get fullfiled, and I wasnt sure about breakfast prices, so i skipped on it. Still a nice, cosy place to stay; and only a mins walk from newcastle station!

Great location, rooms were clean and modern slightly on the smaller side but not uncomfortably so.
Had hair dryer and shaving point as expected.
I was impressed with the deep bath as often this isn't the case.

It's a grand old hotel that's a bit more shabby than chic. Rooms are oddly shaped, often cramped, and with a pervading aroma of decaying institution. Staff are pleasant, breakfast is tepid and rubbery, and there are some good pubs nearby. I like it.

good sleep, however even though i didn't quire wake up services , i was wake up at8am by a horrible phone ring! wasn't very pleased consideting i was working during night and went to bed at 6am. The breakfast was good and had enough variety to chose

A very good location with friendly staff. The room was comfortable and clean. It is over the road from the train station, and there is a small car park attached to the property also which can be helpful. The rates are reasonable. The breakfast staff here deserve a special mention for their extra care and attention.
