Beautiful view from the river, the staff moved a table for us. Food was incredible and unexpected variety for the area. Very tasty steam buns. Service was a little slow considering no one told us about any delays and the restaurant wasnt particularly full, however the food made up for it

Im local to here its a lovely place but a bit expensive for drinks compared to every other pub in llan, had a bad pint of Guinness there, only once my i add, took it back to bar and a cocky bar man (young lad) told me there was nothing wrong with it and did not offer to replace lol, not that i wanted it replaced as we were going anyway, but a little staff traing wouldnt go a miss, all other staff were lovely though, just wish i got his name the numpty

Beautifull place on the river! I was very impressed with the terrace and the old mill wheel still running. Good food and good service. It was very busy Saturday night, but we still managed to get a table. Family friendly.

Not dined here before and turned up off the cuff. A very busy place to dine in but plenty of space and tables. Food was stunning, even for a simple cheese and potato pie option. Not a fan of the bitters on tap, but that's just a personal choice.

Lovely atmosphere. The staff are lovely and very welcoming to our nervous greyhound. The menu is varied and I struggle to choose as it all looks so good. I first came here 9 years ago and a trip to Llangollen is not complete unless I've eaten here.

Such a varied menu, how do you choose? Everything we saw was wonderful and everyone in our group [8] was extremely pleased. We were visiting from the USA and will be recommending this place to everyone.

Had a huge family gettogether, and completely underestimated how many of us were coming- the staff were so so lovely and accommodating to our needs despite being such a huge group! Really appreciate it, cannot thank the girls (waitresses) enough

Better than expected! A great range of food from inventive to belly-lining with a good range of prices too. You can have a fancy or a cheap meal easily, both will be delicious. The House white was lovely as well.

Went for Sunday lunch, didn't have a table booked but they managed to fit us in. Highly recommend you book as it got really busy from the time it opened. Not surprised as the food was lovely, all the staff were friendly and even though they were so busy still made time to have a little chat. We have booked a table to go back in a few days(so looking forward to it)

Poor service - wasn't greeted when we arrived - left to walk aimlessly about the restaurant. Finally found out where to order where the lady behind the bar upstairs couldn't be bothered serving me. Good was average and rather overpriced. Lovely surroundings, lovely decor, same about the service, food and staff. Go elsewhere.

Was interested to try here, it has a lot of history in Llangollen. It was busy and buzzing. We asked about food at the bar as you walk in, told to " go to the bar upstairs" . We felt we were interrupting her conversation with other customers!! On going up stairs we were greeted and offered a table but told immediately two items were no longer available. Ok, we decided to have thepork loin, with veg, apple sauce and a crackling strip. It was ok, bordering on mediocre. Gravy was unusual, overseasoned, and the crackling strip was merely provided as an adornment to the dish. The waitress was busy clearing tables while we ate, clattering chairs and condiments on the tables and storming in and out. But she came to take our plates, and asked " did we enjoy our food" so I told her, not really, wasn't sure what the purpose was of the crackling strip, was it meant to be eaten. She said " no". I said " if it was, had the chef ever tried to eat it??. It was a bit confrontational. Not a promising start. I have eaten better food ( Comberemere Arms) and been " served" by better staff.
