Food was not as good as it used to be. The burger not as thick or as tasty as we've had before. Plus the chips were skinny chips not far off macdomalds chips. Wouldnt eat in this chain again.

Incredible food, really friendly staff, service was a little slow but we turned up without a reservation on a busy Sunday afternoon. We loved the views, the atmosphere, the cosy decor. Would love to come again. Food was delicious and great portion sizes!

Food was good but service poor. 20min wait for order to be taken. Also told at 8.20pm someone was waiting for our table when we'd booked it from 7pm and it had taken ages to be served. Bad organisation and appalling customer service.

Always a favourite of ours, the service and food is excellent at all times and whether you sit outside on the huge decking area in nice weather or sit inside, it's always a pleasant experience and one I'd highly recommend.

Fantastic place to either sit and relax with a coffee or a variety of light bites to full on food, which we felt was good value for money and quality with very friendly staff.
This is situated next to the fast flowing river and is well worth taking a look you won't be disappointed.

Been here on a number of occasions and always loved the food, but this review has been a long while coming due to our past 2 visits. It seems to have become a family tradition for us to place our order and then end up being tentatively approached over an hour later to let us know that the magic button (mains away!) was never pressed. In other words, service needs some clear improvement. Alongside this, as a newly converted vegetarian, I'm afraid to say that this is one of those places where you really are getting the raw deal. As my brother (eventually) received a delicious looking steak burger and my mum, a huge plate of ham and chicken pie, I strategically plotted as to how I could stretch out eating my five pieces of tortellini without finishing in 2 minutes flat. Cornmill, I beg you to change your portion sizes for your vegetarian meals. I may eat vegetables, but I can assure you, I am not a rabbit. It may have been easter Sunday, but after an hour long wait, let me tell you, I was not a happy bunny.

Very busy place, obviously popular! The views are fabulous even though it was raining! But sadly other things weren't so good, food was ok, nothing special, the ladies toilets smelt very badly, need to sort that out, not nice! Wasn't very impressed!

The wait this evening between ordering and getting a meal was terribly long, heading towards an hour between courses, the waiter had no idea of their celler and had to run off for a wine list

My meal was not of the standard I've come to expect from the corn mill. Half cold as if it had been standing, and poorly presented

We have just been here for a meal. The food was lovely and the staff could not have been better. We are stopping at a campsite nearby and couldn't get a taxi back so one of the staff gave us a lift in his own car

Food was good but service was poor. Its sibling pub in Kelsall, Cheshire is MUCH better. Saving grace was a lovely couple at the next table whom we engaged in spirited conversation.

We had The Christmas menu, food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The surroundings are pleasant and comfortable with good views of the river Dee rushing by. All together a good and enjoyable experience. Probably best to book a table.

Lovely gastropub, friendly staff, beautiful surroundings. We dined here on two consecutive nights in May. The food was delicious, freshly prepared and of a high standard. The service was attentive but not fussy. The staff were really keen to ensure a good experience. Plenty of choice on the menu and the kitchen were were flexible with substitutions. Great choices of guest ales and beers, obviously a popular spot with locals and visitors alike. We would definitely return when visiting again. Superb location with excellent views especially from the decking areas when the sun is shining. No strict dress code and dogs welcome, so you can come in straight after a day out walking with no fear of feeling underdressed. The decor enhanced the surroundings and was in keeping with the ambience of the old building. Superb place, wish there were more like it.

Enjoyed a nicely kept swift half on route to another destination.

Absolutely the best place to see yakkers hit town falls, has a great aspect for the river. Nice view, plenty of room to sit both inside and out.

Staff lovely and welcoming, kudos for being so organized during a global pandemic!
