Great Vegan menu and the servers are the best! Love this place!

Great service, fast food, tasty, and good prices especially on breakfast specials

good food, reasonably priced. diner was recently remodeled and it is really nice. had a cheeseburger and it was cooked just right. one friend had a Greek salad and it was huge and another friend had salmon, Greek style, came with soup or salad, two sides and desert.

The Colonial Diner has been around for years. The diner was sold a few years ago and is not the same. It's not a diner anymore, it's a restaurant with 1 refill on coffee and iced tea, no refill on hot tea. The menu is more diverse. We ordered a shrimp basket that came with 20 shrimp and a desert, the tiniest scoop of ice cream that I have ever seen. It might be a while until my next visit.

Eat at colonial quite often, however today was the exception,they have raised their prices, 2.99 for fruit substitute which was 80%blue berries,got white toast when we both ordered wheat, wad charged 8.99 for a cheese omlete and 2.59 for coffee, which should have been included in the special. , 6.99.total bill for 2 ppl.25.83.. unfortunately that will be the last time we eat there.looking for recommendations on a good affordable breakfast place....

Everyone here goes out of their way to make our meal easy and enjoyable when we have our two year old granddaughter with us. She looks forward to her cookie on the way out

Largest optional vegetarian menu around. Awesome food and friendly staff. Definitely my top choice for food now.

Greatly improved from a few years ago. The staff are pleasant & attentive. It s always clean & well organized.

They have a lot of choices. I m a vegetarian & am really happy to see some nice vegetarian items. It s definitely one of our favorites!

They have pretty great vegan options available! I think they use Daiya cheese which is unfortunate. But it's always awesome when more places cater to vegans. Def recommend going!

The food was okay, but expected it to be better tasting. We were a party of 4, and all ordered breakfast. The common comment was that the food was not very flavorful. I had French toast, which I love, but there was absolutely no flavor. The waitress was very nice, service was good, and overall it was okay.

This has always been one of my favorite restaurants. The food used to be great, and the atmosphere was pretty good. Not five-star quality, but great for a night out with friends or a meal after work.

I say "used to be" because, well, it used to be. They changed recently. The menus are now disorganized. The staff is brand new and doesn't know anything about the food. The food... it used to be great, but now they just cut corners everywhere.

The diner's okay. It's not horrible, it's not great. It's good for "I guess there's nothing better to do."

Typical diner fare but then you get to the vegan offerings! I had the vegan cheesesteak and it was delicious, for vegans or meat eaters alike. Everything we had was tasty. Worth a try!

Anything that's breakfast here is amazing. Other food here is either okay or ehh....

Newly renovated, looks nice, just crowded enough for a Saturday...nice looking g crowd...oh and good food... have to train waitress to keep it co.i g with the coffee refills...

Colonial is a great classic diner. The staff is extremely friendly, the storefront has a clean classic style, and the portions are generous. Would recommend to anyone wanting to grab a bite.

Came in for dessert and coffee. I had to return my slice of lemon meringue. It was so wet on the bottom an it takes awful so I ask for cheese cake an the taste was flat my cousin who was with me had a bagel waitress forgot the butter by the time she brought it to the table it was cold. What happened

Our go to diner, Colonial is a family favorite. The food is consistently good, the portions are generous and price is just right. Their staff are always friendly and attentive.

Never will buy the crab canes again,.. but everything else was good

Offers a variety of monthly vegan and vegetarian specials in addition to traditional diner fare. Chef works magic with tofu. It's truly a wonderful thing!

Spacious and modern might not be what you d associate with a diner, but that s exactly how the Colonial Diner is. Tasty burgers, friendly service and amazing dessert selection is worth coming back for. Prices are reasonable, slightly above your average diner. Definitely worth checking out!

Colonial Diner offers traditional diner fare at traditional diner pricing. The do have the benefit of serving alcoholic beverages and make a mean old fashioned from what I recall.

The atmosphere was relaxed but sophisticated due to their interior design. They have a great selection of vegan food! I got the vegan gyro and it was magnificent! So delicious, all the flavors of a meat gyro without the guilt of eating an innocent animal. I also had a Blue Hawaiian Cosmo. Everything was superb!!! Steven the waiter was funny and kind and informative & great with my children. It was a great experience, and reasonable pricing.

Every time we go to Colonial Diner we are given cheerful friendly service. The great food is why we always make Colonial Diner the first place we go when we come into town.

Brittany provided the best service my father has ever had at any restaurant in his entire life. She went above and beyond in every possible way, the food was as good as always and Brittany made it an exceptional experience

Not quite the place it used to be. That being said there are ups and downs to this in my opinion. On the plus the decor has been updated and the menu expanded a lot. Sadly some of my favorite things have been removed from the menu. New owners, new management, new cooks and new wait staff. Overall a great improvement just not the diner I grew up with.

The diner is my favorite spot to get excellent tasting food for an excellent price, with little or no wait. My entire family loves it. Now that I am engaged, it has become my finance and his family's favorite diner. The service is wonderful, although I do have my favorite waitresses.The cashier, hostesses and the managers on duty are the best. My son and his wife love it, my granddaughter, who is 12 loves it, and I am now introducing the diner to my grandson.The TV's add a nice touch, but without the TV's it would still be my favorite place to eat.

Aw heck yeah. Great diner food and a ton of vegan/veg options. This is the spot.

I was pleasantly surprised with breakfast after a decade long hiatus. The server and service was lightening quick, and the skillet wasn't over-salted. The decor is a little over the top, but it's exactly what I expect from a Jersey diner, and I love it for that.

I saw only there once. I had the pancakes. They were fantastic.

I'm usually there for breakfast or lunch and the food is good and the waitresses are all very nice, I'm usually there a few days or so every week! Give them a try I don't think you'll be disappointed! D.J.

Colonial has done an amazing job of creating an outdoor dining space. The more limited menu is still loaded with choices. I have been eating at the colonial for almost a decade & although so much has changed in the world it was a great comfort that my favorite diner still has great service, food & now a pretty cool canopy dining experience that feels a little more upscale that the average diner.

Very elegant and accessible spot. They provide large meals and for reasonable rates. I loved the meals very much and the staff were super welcoming and explanatory. Recommended.

Very good food and a friendly restaurant. I will be back again when I am in town.
