Wonderful atmosphere! Very pleasant from the time you walk in the door! Very neat & clean, food was DELICIOUS! I love that they have VEGAN OPTIONS! The best diner I've been too in a very long time. I drove 35 mins to get there. because of the good reviews and it was worth it! Good job Colonial Diner!

Amazing, amazing dining experience! I happened to be in the area and decided to have breakfast. After parking my car I made my way inside and from the window I saw... Santa Claus in full costumed regalia making his way around the restaurant greeting patrons and welcoming them into this great family holiday experience. The staff was very youthful professional, and energetic. This is clearly the side effects of people who enjoy working there. The dishes were innovative and displayed well thought out flavor profiles. Even french toast reached a new level in this restaurant. Great food and great service, what a treat!

I love the Colonial Diner! They have so many great vegetarian and vegan options so anyone can eat there!

We have come here many times, primarily for breakfast. Their corned beef hash is excellent. We unfortunately had a bad experience on a Sunday with the service. With out any details it took almost 1 hour after being seated until our food arrived. We will think twice before coming again.

Can't beat it. Diner food as expected. Quick and easy.

Went for vegan options. Vegan chocolate cheesecake yum. All else was pretty good. Overall a decent meal for the price.

Fantastic vegan impossible burger and very tasty vegan 3 bean chilly. I'm not a vegan and I enjoyed it very much. -1 star because the cleaner they use in the bathrooms smells bad. Not a good thing when your hungry. Note that they also serve liquor so you can get a shot in your coffee.

My late night stop when in jersey. Great food. Friendly staff.

A great meal. The beef stew special was my choice today and good one. The gravy it was in was different than I had before but quite good. A little sweeter than the norm and a reddish look, probably tomato's added to it. The beef was cut into very generous chunks and extremely tender. The waitress was excellent.

Food was great Service was terrible waitress never came back to refill.my drink and the menu said I got a complimentary glass of wine and she never asked me if I wanted it. They need better servers . I rate the food 5 stars for a diner

We bean going here for years even before it was renovated I love the food and they are so friendly

prices were on the higher side. food quality was fair at best. sandwich was greasy and it was a Reuben. wont be returning anytime soon

I have visited the Colonial diner for. Sunday ,breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each meal was tasty plentiful fairly priced and served in a way that was respectful and pleasant. Have bin back many times , including today.

First off my last few times to a diner were disappointing.. not the diners from my youth, however the Colonial is still doing diner food the right way, tasty, fresh with huge portions.. also or server Nick rocked! Great meal great service!

Clean,good service this evenings meal,two pancakes with a cup of cream chip beef......brings back breakfast childhood memories ......never forget were you come from!

I'm never disappointed when visiting the Colonial Diner. The food is delicious. The prices are reasonable. The portions are generous. One of my favorite local diners that I frequent often!

Unexpected find. We are out of towners and I was super excited when I saw them on Happy Cow! Food was amazing. Staff obviously knew their regulars but never treated us any different than the regulars. I would highly recommend and look forward to making it back. Love from Maryland!

Excellent food and ok atmosphere. I live for there open Turkey and mash potatos. I recommend as nice spot for good meal. Overall grade A

Prices are too high. House salad the size of a dessert plate...$6?! No thanks.

I sat down and within five minutes of getting my drinks, there was a dog, not a service dog but a regular mutt that barked, not once, but three times. that s disgusting and not accepted.

Can i give the owners a negative rating cheap food for bad prices and can't pay labor for there work.better eating down the road

The service was very good,,and the food was tasty. And the coffee was out of this world.

My breakfast was very good and so is everyone else's cream chip beef was excellent eggs over we're perfect only objection I would have is that the bathrooms were very dirty

Been going there for years, under new ownership the service has not gone down. Their dessert selection is much improved and interesting new twists.

The food is probably the best of the diners out there. Its fresh & you can tell that they care about the quality of food they produce.

A pleasant surprise! Three of us odered from the vegetarian menu and were very pleased. Our waiter, Patrick, was excellent and kept us entertained during a slight delay in our food order due to a computer problem. An overall good experience.

Great Diner. One of my favs. I enjoy the workers and the food. Been coming here since my days in High School. I highly recommend it, especially for the late night bite.

I've never heard or been to this diner before but then finding out they offer a vegan menu or was a stop that had to be made and it was not a disappointment. After talking to or waiter and him telling us that business has exploded since offering a vegan menu we can only hope other diners will follow in suit and praise Colonial diner for being the leader in expanding the food cult movement that should blow up due to Jersey's fine dining and really put us on the map for it.

What's a diner without Flo! Great service and the food was just right. It's been a while since I've been to a good Jersey diner. Colonial is worth the visit. Ask for Flo!

A really good variety of vegan traditional diner options, including soup, entrees, desserts, and even vegan pancakes.

Ordered food for 3 people via takeout. The waitress tried to charge me extra for something the menu said was included. The claimed the menu was wrong and was going to charge me anyway.

Food was sub par and all three of us ended up getting food poisoning. Can't say anything good about this place ever since the new owners. I know it's a diner and diners are not known for their cleanliness, but food poisoning for 3 people, 2 adults and 1 toddler, is absurd.

Not the same anymore since the new owners took over.

They never get my to go orders right. They forgot a dessert, gave me the wrong entree several times.

Food is okay but girl at the front seemed so out of it, had to ask for my card back and she was so confused

Colonial Diner is always a great place to get, everyone is super friendly and there breakfast food is awesome! They also make really good burgers!

Seated right away..food came quickly..waitress friendly. Would definitely go again!

Chicken parmigiana was good and plentiful. The garlic bread was too hard to eat. Dessert was served in a to go container.

Been here 3 times now. Twice for brunch. I like that you can get a mimosa or a sangria included. The decor is nice and upgraded the diner has been very clean. The menu options are really good and large. Everyone else who has dined with me has liked what they have selected. I prefer the fries to the home fries which I think are a little lacking. Overall a pretty solid Diner one of the better ones I think in South Jersey.

While I miss the days of old at the 24/7 Colonial Diner, the new owners have done a great job remodeling and condensing the menu. I just miss my 4-cheese fries and I wish they'd bring them back :(

The food tastes different. The waitress was great. She kept our drinks filled and kept checking on us. The hostess sat us down right away, there was even room for my baby's stroller.
