Absolutely lovely people, the food was high quality diner and the price was completely fair.

Great service, excellent portions and delicious food!

Not a good place if you have a medical card requiring small meals. No mini meals and will not allow an adult order off the child menu. And idk if she's a boss or whoever that is just walking around the dining area complaining about things that the customers don't even notice let alone care about.

Well, I made a negative comment about one of their dishes on Facebook and they blocked me! Really? Would anyone eat at an establishment that silences critical views of what it is feeding the public? Me sndamy friends are literally aghast by such ignorance. Furthermore, I am connected with one of the largest used restaurant oil collection services in the state, and one can really tell a lot about a restaurant by looking into their used oil disposal, how clean it is, how often you change it. Theres many great diners in NJ, unfortunately this is surely not one!

Gr8 place for anytime of day if and when your Hungry.

This is one of the nicest diners in the area, the food and service are absolutely fantastic and they have a HUGE selection of vegetarian and Vegan entrees.

Excellent food,atmosphere, wait staff all the above made are dinner very enjoyable.

My wife's food was good but I got the nachos with chicken. If you get chicken added apparantly they remove the chili. Yhat wasn't my intention. The cheese was not melted and didn't come with salsa or sour cream. Several of the chips were undercooked. Very disappointed in a community landmark like the Colonial.

Large menu. Lotsa frozen food in stock. They do decent burgers, but don't do fish. Friendly staff and they are pleasantly snarky.

This is my favorite diner in the world. I have eaten here since I was 2, now I'm 30, and I am still here at least once a month. The inside is beautifully renovated and the food is the same great diner fare you come to experience with a family, or after closing out a bar at 2AM.

The fried zucchini is sliced lengthwise and for some reason it blew my mind. Very good food and great staff. We were happy.

Love it we lived in the area then moved. It's the best home town feel. Great food. When we go and visit we try to stop by.

The best corned beef hash I've ever had. Mine is good... this is way better! If only I knew the spice blend in either the hash or the brine (if they're making their own corned beef) mine could be better again, lol!

sorry cant support a Diner that has been here for 50 plus yrs for them to change their Hours! really no more 24/7! was so disappointment they were not open last night! had a huge group! We went to Brooklawn Diner! now our new place to count on! you messed up! and no breakfast for sundays??? are you insane!

Ordered a pork roll egg and cheese, egg over easy. $8.00 later, the egg was pretty much burnt. Service was lacking. Colonial diner might not have looked as nice a year or two ago, but the food prices and service were way better

I went for the vegan options and I was thoroughly impressed! Large portions, good service, great tasting food. If I could give another star I would.

A really Top restaurant experience along the Avenue of comfort food eating. Food quality was way up there. The place was real clean and amenities were all up to date. Our server was friendly and real. When you're there ask for a seat by the window, nice little town it's located in.

Everytime I've been there, I've always served good food while having great services. A must go place in the neighborhood

The staff is very friendly. Plenty of clean guilt free cheat meals for a physique competitor like myself. The Mediterranean salmon is to die for!

Food was good, our server Nick was great. The only thing I would have to say is: the young lady with the long curly black hair and glasses needs to learn not to yell and clap her hands at the staff across the diner floor..... Inside voice please

Colonial Diner has always been a place of not only comfort but good food at an affordable price. The hours are extremely convenient also! Lol

Took the family to lunch at the Colonial Diner. We've been going to the Colonial periodically since 2002 when we lived in Woodbury. The breakfast platters are huge , the home fries are very tasty, and the service was very good. The Colonial personifies why many of frequent diners: Good food at a very fair price!

Great menu options for any mood youre in. Tvs available to watch. Friendly service. Worst thing about this diner is the small parking lots. Eveything else is great.

Our local place, one of my first few dates with my boyfriend. They have a great vegan menu which makes it our go to on busy weeknights.

Wonderful new vegan menu. Everything was delicious, pleasant service and plenty of room so no waiting.

Love the atmosphere and the staff are amazing. You can tell by the other patrons who visit. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious. We typically go for breakfast and the bacon is always extra crispy! The desserts all are amazing too!

Whoever gave this place more than one star must be high. Awful place to go. 25 minute wait to before you even get a beverage. Never going back there again.

Staff is nice enough but the food is hit or miss sometimes. One day it will taste really fresh and we'll cooked and other times I've ordered dishes that come out tasting like they came from the microwave. Not a fan of the eggplant parm even though it's one of my go to dishes.

Visiting New Jersey and wanting my scrapple fix, it was great to visit the Colonial Diner. It is both exactly what you want in a traditional South Jersey diner and a modern restaurant with many contemporary menu options. They even had a vegan special (not that I wanted it).

The service was friendly. I even shook hands with one of the owners.

And I enjoyed my scrapple, eggs, and traditional home fries. Perfect!

Absolutely the tastiest food and moderately cheap meals.

Staff is courteous and food is great portion wise but the seats aren't comfy unless your in a booth

Food was excellent! Not happy that sodas are 2.99 a glass with a limit of 1 free refill! The price and limit is a bit much! Other then that i was very happy with my meal!

I have always love this Diner, even before I went vegan. Colonial has some yummy vegan option! One of my favorite plates is the Gyro.

When it was the old Colonial Diner the food was so much better! We went there 3 times from December 2015 until February 2016 and each time had nothing but poor service, horrible food. We gave them 3 strikes, that is it. So disappointed. Now looking for a new diner to go to.

Good service...nice remodel...pancakes are eh ok. The bacon is fabulous! I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

This is probably my boyfriend and I's 2nd or 3rd visiti since this pandemic allowed outdoor and indoor dining. Outside is not too comfortable but inside is a very nice diner establishment with comfortable booths. Unfortunately today when we were greeted and brought to our table, I sat in a bunch of leftover crumbs. It was easily brushed off but still. Breakfast is the typical diner food. Everything was good, up untill we were ready to leave and then our server noticed we didn't like our sausage side. Asked if we 'wanted new sausage' but as she saw the bill on the table with cash, asked if we needed change (we told her to keep it) and she walked away.

Food has greatly improved since new owners bought it. Great breakfast place as well.

The servers were great.

The servers are working extra hard going up and down the stairs, inside and outside in this humid hot weather.
So please don't be a butthead and take care of the servers.

The food and service are great. Numerous options on the vegan menu at a value considering a soup, glass of wine and dessert are included.

Getting a little too pricey. Food is good quality but the price may be getting too high. 7 dollars for a large chocolate milk, no refills. And it's not a big cup...
