Colonial accommodated us (6 adults, 1 child) last minute on Mother's Day. Turns out the food was fantastic and their portions were jumbo sized! Service was excellent, especially considering it was dinner rush and Mother's Day. Our waitress was wonderful and we all pooled extra to make her tip extra special too! So, thank you, Colonial Diner for rescuing our Mother's Day dinner. You guys made it extra special.

The hostess who sat us was a complete jerk. Insulting the waitress in front of us and other customers. I made sure to over tip our server and what a shame that they have to work under/with a bully. I later found out the hostess was the manager Ashley. You tube video to follow. #gettingbulliedatwork

Was our first time dining at this establishment. We are viaiting from florida and had the most wonderful service. Our waitress Heather was amazing! She was very attentive and always had a smile. Food was delicious too.

Colonial is just one of the few places you can go and get something good to eat and any time. They remodeled and it looks great, and they have also expanded the dessert selection. You may not have known the you need baklava cheesecake in your life, but you do TRUST ME. Service was fast and friendly. No complaints.

I remember coming here as a kid on Sundays with my entire family and getting the big booth in the back, my dad would stop here daily in the morning before going into work..and when I was a young adult my friends and I would all go there after a night of drinking and we were treated like family. Preesent day, the decor is updated and nice, but the place lacks familiarity and that "home" feeling that it had before. I don't recognize any of the waitresses anymore and the menu has changed...alot...and not for the better. It's a bit more expensive now and I think they tried to "update" the recipes but they don't work. The chicken parm isn't the same, their spaghetti gravy lacks flavor (keep the old recipe). They've removed most of the fan favorite items on the menu and they actually charge for sharing! I gave it a 3 because our waitress we had, although new, was quite pleasant. As a former Woodburian, the upgrades to this place make me sad.

Stop their during lunch rush hour (Monday 1:00 PM). Place was packed, but the service was fast and responsive. Had no problem getting a table and my waitress was at my table with 30 seconds asking me my drink order. I ordered an Italian omlete and normally it takes a while to cook, not here. My meal was hot, tasty and reasonable price. I am definitely coming back to this place for breakfast, lunch and or dinner.

Great food,. The wife and I visited this past Monday, and the wife ordered from the Brunch Menu, while I got the steak (Ribeye) and eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly, and was closer to a real steak than a diner steak. My wife enjoyed a mimosa with her breakfast, while I had coffee.

The food was really good, and my wife cannot wait to go back.

Such a huge menu full of different dishes! And a full page of vegetarian options. We each had the quiche which was served with a salad or fruit. Delicious! Our server couldn't have been better, she was very attentive and just wonderful!

This place used to be so good. It seems like every time I eat here, it gets worse. The staff is almost always friendly, but the food quality lowers, while the prices rise, with almost every visit. Hopefully this place will get their stuff together again, and go back to the quality they used to have.

The interior is very nice. It seems to have been updated recently. The menu is extensive and everything seemed reasonably priced. All the staff we interacted with was very friendly and efficient. Our food was delivered quickly and the portions were large. I ordered a club sandwich and had trouble finishing it there was so much. Everything was very tasty.

I will definitely come back here again and will recommend it to anyone.

Was at the diner on Thursday may 30th 2013 with two friends eating a great breakfast when I felt something on my leg...it was a small roach. my friend across the table had one on him a few seconds later. we looked under table and saw on craw up under table on wall. brought it to the waitresses attention and was told they sprayed. a min goes by when a roach crawled up the wall and went into tv...a few seconds later another one headed up grabbed it with napkin and called the waitress over again and handed it to he and said you have a roach problem all she said was manager was called. we never saw the manager and was not given any discount for putting up with roaches at out table. Very poor experience and will never return.

Very good food, great staff and just a quiet comfortable place to come and enjoy good food good people and great atmophere, plus Virginia is a fellow Cramer Hiller,, that alone is good enough for me.

I used to come here on Sundays on my way to work. I wasnt the best dressed usually in sweats because of company guidelines.
The food was better than most dinners and restaurants i go to. But you could tell the servers sometimes couldnt get over what i was wearing, unless they recognized me already. The food makes me come back, maybe i should just order to go, from now on.

Not like it used to be twenty years ago as I grew up in the area. It was the spot and 24 hours. Not do much now and is pricey and not that good. If your hungry and it's the weekend, fine because your probably drunk anyway and won't remember! Plus it's better than brooklawn as brooklawn will take your money and your taste buds!

Colonial Diner is a lot nicer since new owners took over several years ago. The inside has been rehabbed and the hostess/wait staff are very friendly. We ordered breakfast and it was amazing. Pumpkin pancakes, omelette, sausage, hash browns, toast. You can not leave this diner still hungry nor do you leave without a to go box. The servings are huge. I have not visited too many diners but the prices seem reasonable. Colonial also offers vegetarian/vegan meals. There are many dishes to choose from and they probably have the largest selection in the area. There has been local positive write-ups concerning their vegetarian/vegan food. The only reason for four stars is the desserts in the case as soon as you walk in. They look beautiful and have decent prices but the taste is lacking. We have purchased several different items and none of them were that great.

They have really changed in the past few years. The food is really good and the new chef has a great focus on vegan options while maintaining the usual diner fair. And of course the staff is always wonderful

Asked for a plain bagel with cream cheese to go. These people literally gave me a a bagel and cream cheese packets separately. Are you kidding me? Didn't even include a knife or anything. Use common sense please.

Yum

Food was good price was fair. Service not the greatest. Grandson ordered pancakes they didn't bring syrup. 3 people with us got their order. Server never brought silverware. I had to go ask someone for syrup and knives and forks and they acted like I was a bother. Maybe they were having a bad day but after we got our food server never returned till they brought the bill.

The new vegan menu looks delicious but the prices are obnoxious. For some reason they are charging up to double what you would pay for similar items in the city. This is WOODBURY! I understand that vegan and organic items tend to cost more but be reasonable. If you want a good vegan cheese steak for half the price, go to Sabrina's in Philly or Collingswood.
