Amazing service and extremely friendly staff. I didnt stay in the hotel but spent the day on the premises with a few friends. My encounter with the manager, Taahir De Vries was exceptional, very helpful, dedicated and goes the extra mile. My experience with the waiter, Nawaal Essop was also very pleasant and and she was willing to assist with whatever we needed, even outside of her job description. All in all I had a great day there. Thanks guys, keep up the good work!!!

This hotel offered a special at their Conservatory restaurant over Easter but cancelled the reservation to introduce a more expensive option - with out as much as an apology. Obviously the marketing department hadn't realised that their original offer co-incided with Easter.! Poor for such a high quality restaurant

Overall was a let down, calamari starter was excellent, bobotie was average and served with salad instead of sambels, had to constantly look around and try get the attention of waiters when we needed something, wine was simply put on the table without even pouring let alone asking if we would like to taste, restaurant was uncomfortably hot, real pity as it's a beautiful setting.

We recently held our wedding at Cellars-Hohenort and all I can say is WOW!

I had my heart set on another venue but we went to view Cellars anyway. From the moment I met with Charlene, the events coordinator, I changed my mind on venues.

Charlene was so welcoming, friendly, kind and such a pleasure to deal with. She made the whole planning process - only 3 weeks - a pleasure. I was not stressed once, knowing that I had Charlene on my team. Her communication was excellent, her advice was welcomed and all of the suppliers I worked with couldn't rate her any higher! My mom also adores Charlene!

From the moment I arrived, my experience surpassed 5-star service. I was greeted by every staff member with a kind word, encouragement and congratulations. The wait staff at the restaurant were superb and the food...well the food was extraordinary. Chef Paul went out of his way to cater to a few challenging guests with such ease.

I didn't have a wedding planner, but having Charlene and the Cellars-team around meant that everything was taken care of and I just showed up and had the best time. My wedding was absolutely magical and it wouldn't have been that way without the thoughtful touches and exemplary team.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for making our weekend so special.

Beautiful hotel. Lovely rooms and amazing grounds. Very friendly and attentive service. Amazing breakfast. The only thing I'd like to suggest they improve is service time in the restaurant : sometimes meals could take an awfully long time to actually appear. Otherwise impeccable.

Just fabulous. The service was slow today but we were not in a hurry. The food was lovely. The Bobotie was the best. Souffle wow, the bread and sticks and beautiful flavoured butter was delish. The restaurant/hotel is stylish, the location is fab. Our lady Michelle, looking after us today, is a gem. We go every year, at least twice. A must do.

The setting, grounds and surrounds are simply stunning, absolutely beautiful, really really beautiful. If you want to have a little bit of Kirstenbosch without the crowds, this is the place to go to

Quite a culinary experience but found the theatrics came slightly before the flavour. Nice location, good service. Went on a particularly busy night and it felt like the kitchen was fighting to keep up which then threw out the sommelier. Did not detract from the experience though.

We took a guest for high tea today. This is not our first time as we love your grounds. Unfortunately although the staff is friendly, they are not professional. I had to ask 3 times for an ashtray and got it on the 4th try. Although you were not busy we had to wait quite a long time for drinks to arrive, they gave 2 place mats and not 3, 2 sets of cutlery and napkins I had to get up and ask for another set of cutlery and napkin and only got cutlery. When I ask for my napkin they said you were out and gave me a black cocktail napkin. Did not offer tea or coffee had to call them to ask for it and I had to go inside to get my bill and pay, Ct card machine was not on charge and I could not get my copy of slip. I paid R1000.00 tip including for very poor service. I do Love your surroundings and the garden and ducks are beautiful, service is another story, so sad

Beautiful backdrop for a delightful morning High Tea. The gardens are well worth a visit, especially the Camphor trees from the 1700s and the gardens were full of hydrangeas. The green and white garden at the front filled with Iceberg roses and the water features were stunning!

We've enjoyed a great lunch there, and it was really good and not quite expensive as we expected. The doorman was not that polite when we said we hadn't booked but the manager could easily handle it putting us inside.

Not Five Star

Not Five Star

While the grounds of this hotel are lovely and the breakfast is wonderful, the room I stayed in and service are simply not five-star. I was shocked at the quality of the room versus the price (8k+ ZAR/500+ USD), especially given our other accommodations in South Africa. The room was small and dark, the ceilings were low, the mattress transferred movement, and the shower was in the main space. Our minibar was not stocked for 2+ days until I enquired, and other things in the room like coffee and washcloths weren't replaced without me asking twice. I would never stay here again and would urge others expecting a five-star experience to stay elsewhere. I regret spending my money on this hotel room.

Wow. A big WOW. This place is amazing. One of the best older places in Constantia. Great view of part of Table Mountain, great ambience and the most beautiful gardens in all of Constantia. It trully deserves to be one of a Relaix & Chateaux property.....love it
