Always a great experience, impeccable service and food.

The Capital Grille in Providence offers a unique dining experience whether it be lunch or dinner. They always offer at least 3-4 specials that are not on the menu.

Service is excellent. Our favorite waiter is Tom and we usually reserve a table within his area of serving.

From steaks to sea food a wide array of food choices are available.

My only gripe is they are always offering mango sorbet. They have had raspberry ( to die for), lemon basil ( truly memorable) and a few others but the mango is almost a lead us the sorbet of the day and needs to be retired. Even the waiters remark they don't understand why mango sorbet so often.

The management team is always on site greeting and assuring the customer is enjoying their dining experience.

I have enjoyed every meal selection I have ever made but please, no more mango.

I've been coming to Capital Grille for 7 years now my wonderful fiance introduced me to this elegant tasteful place I must say their food is exquisite very pricey but oh so worth it the service is beyond compare

Mother s Day take out was beyond belief with simple instructions to put a first class dinner on the table. Roast Beef, Lobster tails, rolls, Sam s mashed potatoes, green beans, pound cake, chocolate cake. The whole meal was so good I d order it if the restaurant was opened and I wanted to eat at home. No skimping and all the fixings.

Food was very good, wait staff excellent, long wait between courses.

An absolute pleasure, top shelf end to end service and a killer menu.

Worth it! Had the Filet Mignon Oscar over asparagus. Delectible! Lobster Mac and Cheese had chunks that could only be 1/2 a lobster tail. Other sides were just as good. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Honig Cabernet Sauvignon was a great choice pleasing all 5 wine drinkers.

Fabulous!! Calamari, Steak, chicken risotto, truffle fries, soy glazed Brussels (the BEST EVER!) and cheesecake to top it all off! Absolutely Amazing! Great location in downtown Providence on the river. Service was the best!, food was the best! We're definitely going to return in the summer to enjoy Capital Grille and downtown Providence!

I have been to about 15 different Capital Grilles across the country and it is always an experience. The one in Providence is the original and by far the best and newly renovated. There are several different cuts of steak and its never a disappointment.

The capital grille is one of the most prominent fine dining institutions in Providence. They specialize in steaks and cuts of meat. The food is usually incredibly good and I've never had a bad experience here. It is expensive but I usually go here for special occasions or the restaurant week when the prices are lower. They have a huge wine collection to pair with whatever you have decided. My guilty pleasure is the bread collection which I end up eating way too much off.

Had another great dining experience on Easter Sunday. Had reservations for 6:15, waited at the bar for 45 minutes. Hostess left and we didn't end up getting sat until after 7pm, but it was a busy holiday so it was somewhat understandable. I'm still giving 5 stars because everything else was fantastic. From the ambiance to the food to our waiter Zach, who was one of the best waitstaff I've ever had. Thanks Capital Grille.

Great atmosphere, great food, exceptional service.

My shrimp with grits was awesome my children's Meal which counted the most was awful the chicken fingers not much of an Easter dinner was overcooked and dry it out it was a dark brown made the best out of it didn't complain then the only choice they had for dessert was ice cream the ice cream was old and filled with ice from being old and then after it was all done and ready to go we realized that I'd to go bag was not our to go bag so our food got lost so after being in a restaurant for an hour and a half for two little kids they were awesome but this was really stretching it because now they wanted us to wait and made us wait for them to re-cook are to-go bags that they lost

I normally wouldn t write a review about a place I d frequent but the last two times here were just ok, both time I ordered the New York strip, for a dry aged steak it wasn t flavorful. More tough than anything and seemed to be needled and stringy. If you can picture that. A medium rare steak should melt in your mouth. Maybe I need to order a filet instead.

Great semi new location... they moved across the street with much friendly valet area to park...Best place to watch water fire in the summer...Just make sure you book in advance and it does seem to be a popular spot!

Overrated. Came twice as part of restaurant week. Steak was good, but nothing special considering the cost.

We took friends for a double date and the whole evening was perfect. Our waiter was Aaron and he was extremely attentive and frendly. Never a bad meal at Capital Grille.

We took my father in law for fathers day because he had never been.The atmosphere was great and so was the staff. We were seated right away and someone was there to get us water and the bread.My favorite is the variety of bread and the butter with sea salt on top. The cheesecake was delicious and the creme brulee is the best I've ever had.
It's nice being able to sit down and eat at the restaurant and not have to take the food to go.

Everything about this experience was A+! The service from the minute we walked through the door to walking out was superb. The food was cooked just right and tasted amazing. And the creme brulee was to die for.

Always fantastic food and service in a beautiful setting. I usually get the sliced filet. The creamed spinach has too much nutmeg for my liking but the lobster mac and cheese is delicious (though on the heavy side). The stoli doli is great too! Make sure to let them know if you're celebrating a birthday or anniversary, as they will make your experience extra special.

Amazing food, great service and a lovely atmosphere!!

I have been there many times and usually the food is good but the last time I was there couple of weeks ago all the food was extremely salty. We complained about calamari and spinach being salty and requested them to make the main dish (lamb) less salty but when food arrived it was still loaded with salt that we couldnt even eat.

I'm giving 3 stars because of an awesome waiter and the beautiful decor. The food was not that great. I ordered the chicken and I was very disappointed when my first bite was full of cold food. I had to send it back so they could warm up my food. It was actually cold! I wouldn't go back. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Had cocktails on the patio overlooking the water. Just amazing! The stolidoli and a summer gin drink, can't recall the name but they will make you anything you like.

Food was great. The guy serving us though was incredibly rude. It was very busy, so I can understand getting frustrated. But if you're paying $200+ for a meal, I do not think it's too much to ask to not be given an attitude. Will not be going back to this location

The food was excellent. We sat at the bar for a change. It's great that their are bar backs to help the bartenders. Our server was popular with every party at the bar, so we were slightly neglected but, the bar back was really great and always there for us.

The food is superb they take great care of you and it's really hard to believe you're in a chain restaurant. Their catering packages are amazing and having an event there is a brilliant idea because they really know how to take care of you and there's always plenty of food and it's a much more reasonable price then if you go anywhere else. And of course it's just top quality. There's no competition for their catering. I would have an event there again and again and again I was thrilled with every aspect of it

Got an arm and a leg? You can afford dinner then. Good service, good food but pricey

Stopped in for a celebratory lunch. Just as clean and comfortable as you would expect. Aaron was our outstanding waiter today. He did an excellent job representing Capital Grill! Table bread and BUTTER were hot and delicious! The mushroom bisque, sliders, truffle fries, and of course the filet mignon were all great.

This is the original Capital Grille, in its expanded location overlooking waterplace park. It is the quintessential steakhouse. You want great steak perfectly prepared? This is it. Appetizers like crab cakes, calamari are lovingly made and pleasingly presented. Salad? Nicely done. Desserts? The fruit tart is beautiful, but the dense chocolate torte is to die for. Had bar seats , great bartender and perfect drinks. Split a bone in prime and cooked to perfection. Can t go wrong here

We had a great experience. Our server was knowledgeable and articulate. Anytime you felt like you needed something, Manny was there. The manager was a perfect gentleman as well. Food was delicious as expected.

The most fantastic meal I've ever eaten! Everything was prepared meticulously. The flavors were amazing. The lamb and shrimp appetizer was so tender and flavorful.(I don't usually eat lamb). The crab and lobster cakes, yum. The tenderloin and lobster tail entree was to die for. I don't care for brussel sprouts but these brussel sprouts and bacon were phenomenal. The cheesecake with mixed berries and strawberry sauce was delicious. The cappuccino came with a rock candy sugar stirrer, such a cute little added touch. Our compliments to chef Jason. Don't bother going if you're not prepared to indulge (and spend a pretty penny), but so worth it for the experience. Fantastic.

I went to Capitol Grill with my son for his 16th birthday I wanted him to feel special. He has been dealing with depression and I was hoping this would help. For sure he was made to feel like a celebrity from the moment we walked in. Treated with the utmost of respect. Birthday wishes started with the host, the manager and finally our waiter Mark who had the table prepared with birthday glitter and a welcome card. Over 40 years running, owning and spending time at restaurants around the world this was by far the best experience ever. My son left glowing and a big praise to Mark who did not miss a beat. Thank you all for making our moment more special than I could have ever dreamed of.
