We cannot say enough about our experience at the Bulman. It is a beautiful, authentic pub with great service and amazing food. One of the true highlights of our trip. And the Beamish was great too.

Excellent service and recommendation from our dinger of a waitress, followed by gorgeous food, made all the more enjoyable being at a table inside an upstairs window, allowing warm sunshine in and providing fantastic view of the bay. Very enjoyable family outing. Would highly recommend! Will be back.

What a fantastic team in the bar!!

What a fantastic team in the bar!!

We ate on New Years Eve in the bar, four adults and three little ones. The manager couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. His upbeat attitude clearly rubbed off on his team too with each one of them flashing us a smile and accommodating our every need preemptively.

Considering it was a busy busy bar and with a long night ahead of them we were so impressed watching the happy team whiz around working well together and providing great service.

Tuts is a little bit oit id the way bur wrll worth three walk or ride. The mussles were memorable and delicious. The portion was quite generous. The service is wonderful as they called a cab for us as we were ready to leave. They had a good choice of non-alcaholic beer. The bathrooms were clean and tidy.

We had excellent food in lovely surroundings and for a very reasonable price. This used to very "gormet" and you would leave hungry. No such problem this time - servings were more than ample and we loved everything we were served.

Absolutely lovely pub and restaurant with a wonder...

Absolutely lovely pub and restaurant with a wonderful view of the bay. We were upstairs in the main restaurant and the staff were friendly and accommodating whilst food was excellent. There was a specials board alongside the main menu with had an array of fresh seafood dishes. The menu also has a land section for the non-fish eaters I was torn for choice but was delighted in the end with my Thai Crabcakes to start and Monkfish & Scallops for main. Apparently the oysters with bloody mary shots were amazing too and massive thumbs up to the Sticky Toffee pudding as well. All portions were huge so we were happily stuffed by the end of the meal. Would definitely recommend!

The Bullman is an outstanding pub and restaurant, situated in Summercove, about one mile from Kinsale town centre, on the road to Charles Fort. Do not miss out on this experience. Right on the sea front, with spectacular views, lovely fires, and very well adorned with memorabilia from the past, it boasts excellent bar food and a first class restaurant upstairs. The proprietor is there all the time, welcoming guests and ensuring that the high standards are maintained at all times. Mary has hand chosen staff who are efficient and friendly. You will not regret your experience. Very busy so book the restaurant. For bar food, get there early at lunch time. So popular that it is full on most days, even in the winter. Go on and experience the classy, lovely place. Everyone else does. For me, sea food chowder made fresh ever morning, is the best I have ever experienced.

We visited at lunchtime on a balmy January Saturday. The place was buzzing and we were told there would be a ten minute wait. A table soon became available and we were seated at a spacious table with a sea view. My wife had the crab open sandwich and I had tuna with wasabi mash. We ordered fries as a side. Everything was delicious. As good and enjoyable a meal as I've eaten in ages. Really good quality fresh food cooked simply. Not cheap - fifty euro for the above food with a pint for me and a glass of wine for her nibs - but excellent value for the quality of the fare, ambience and service.
