Great location. Overpriced food. I was turned away today as my party included children. "We try not to have children on a Sunday lunchtime". Sunday. Lunch. The one meal in the week when families always eat together. And you don't allow children?
Ridiculous.
I'd rather spend my money in one of the hundreds of other options in Kinsale who appreciate customers.

It's a really lovely bar with a phenomenal view. The lunch menu has everything you could want and the standard is exceptional. The open crab meat sandwich is just delicious. I could easily eat here every day for a week.

Really lovely place. Was brought here for a dinner with colleagues and we first had a nice beer at the bar (weather was a bit misty that day) then went upstairs for a lovely dinner. Seafood selection is excellent and very tasty ! highly recommended !

Consistently excellent food, with service that goes the extra mile. The pub itself is lovely too with warm snug booths available in the downstairs bar and a bright and airy dining room upstairs. As you'd expect, the seafood is usually a good choice here but there's also plenty of other options including vegetarian.
The venue is dog-friendly (downstairs, indoors). It would be tricky for wheelchair users.

Love it. I always bring visitors here after I collect them from the airport. In summer it's thronged, on winter it's a perfect for a Christmas pint n front of the fire. No matter how busy, they are hospitality personified
