Dromquina Manor Hotel Review

Hard to describe how wonderful this place is. I was terrified of glamping as i hgave an irrational fear of bugs esp flying ones but it was so beautiful you almost forget about them (there were hardly any anyway!). Waking up onfront of the ocean and the mountain is breathtaking! Coffee, crossaints , fresh orange juice and youghurts delivered in a picnic basket each morning. Food in the boathouse is 10/10. There is one socket in each tent so bring an extension if you need to charge more then one phone!

Stopped into Dromquinna Manor after spending the weekend in West Cork on the way home. Late lunch.
Chicken in a bun and Pot of Crab both fab. Thanks to James and the team.

Beautifully located. Lovely food. Pleasant staff. Good service.

We went for 3 days of luxurious camping and had a great time. Spacious tent. Clean. No tv but Wi-Fi available. Breakfast hamper with tea/coffee, croissants and yoghurt provided every morning. Fantastic outdoor seating area with fire pit and bbq grills. Shared kitchen with 2 fridges and cooking hob. All just a minute away from the sea shore and pier. Very friendly and helpful staff. Recommend!

Excellent venue for a wedding/reception. The views were stunning. Food exceptional. The meal did tend to drag on a bit.....would be my only criticism. The bride arrived on a boat....breath taking throughout. Flowers and grounds were immaculate despite the long dry summer we've just had.

Superb location. Perfect for any kind of ceremonies and or people gathering and friends. Service, food and drinks very good and good quality.

Fab place for a wedding but food was not suited to pregant woman

Stunning. Just stunning. I found a secret hidden couch for a snooze mid wedding which was fantastic. Wouldn't be able to find it again though.

Had such a wonderful time here. It's pure luxury camping. The facilities are spotless and the view from the tent is amazing. Beds we're so comfortable. Kids loved it. Food in the restaurant was delish. The only downside is if there is a wedding on and it's quite noisy but I prepared for that and brought ear plugs but would suggest they provide them for people if they know there's going to be a wedding going on! Delivery of lovely croissants for breakfast is a nice touch too. Bbq area is perfect and not too far from the tents. Kids used the basketball court which was good but couldn't really swim at the site itself so we ended up driving to castle cove which was about half an hour and really gorgeous. Will come back next year and stay longer than two days. It just wasn't long enough! There's a fab patisserie in Kenmare too at the top of George's St. Recommend that. Cakes and coffee are fantastic.

Fantastic setting and proprietor is there you ensure you have a pleasant and relaxing stay. Great facilities indoor and out for kids in the games room with a lovely area for the fire pit where you can light a fire and roast marshmallows. Tents are excellent and the breakfast basket in the morning is a lovely touch. Restaurant on site by the water has an excellent choice of fish. We stayed only the one night, but would wish for two nights at least next time.

Real find. Beautiful campsite for glamping and motor homes. Restaurant down at sea shore is excellent, great sea food and good value.

Went with friends for dinner on Saturday night it was 100%

We attended a family wedding here over Christmas and it was really nice. The celebration was in Shutters at the water and dinner and party in the main house. The food and whole day was outstanding. Loved it all.

We have arrived by motorhome to rest! Incredible ... beautiful and clean, it's 30 a night, it's not the cheapest to spend the night, but I assure you it's worth it ...

There's several separate places within this estate, the Manor House itself is not open to the public but can be booked for events such as weddings.
The Boathouse Bistro is a high quality restaurant about 250m from the Manor House on the seafront and is open from 12:30pm to 9pm, 7 days a week during the March-October tourist season. I'm going to request a separate places listing on Google for the restaurant it is unrelated to the Manor House really.

Dromquinna Manor is a spectacular setting for any function. The brilliantly kept gardens sweep down to Kenmare Bay, overlooked by the Caha Mountains, and one couldn't think of a better place to sit in the world on a summer's day. The venue provides a magical backdrop for a wedding. One thing that struck me most about this location is the staff. They are some of the best trained and most welcoming staff I've encountered on my travels - no airs and graces. John the bar manager deserves a special mention in this regard. It does feel like this venue gives a very personal hospitality experience. It's not cheap, and if you are doing the Ring of Kerry, it might be worth spending the extra euro for a luxurious break en route.

An absolutely fabulous wedding venue !!
From the moment we arrived at Dromquinna we knew there was nothing that could beat it. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was outstanding, the atmosphere was electric and the views were to die for. Couldn't recommend it more.
We also had the pleasure of camping in one of their luxury tents and enjoying a meal in the Boathouse and everything was 5 star !!

Dined in The Boathouse Bistro at Dromquinna Manor again this summer as a family of four with our two children aged 11 and 13 (they would be particular where and what they eat!) Another very memorable dining experience. Casual and unfussy More
