Very disappointed. The Berry Smoothie tasted like watered down milk with Strawberry Quik. No flavour, no texture.

Great place, location... slowish service, but the food was fabulous! Will definitely go back!

The take away coffees haven't got lids that fit correctly and coffee was spilling everywhere.
The muffins are smaller than regular muffins and are far more expensive than everywhere else. And to be quite honest about it the coffee isn't all that great as well. Sorry, but i'm quite unimpressed with my experience here.

I'm a local & regular. Last 3 times have been so disappointing. Terrible table service. Got my own menus/water all 3 times. Breaky meals were tiny! Not reflected in price. Please improve things guys & stop relying on your location to get customers.

What a disaster breakfast was today. Took 25 minutes to get nothing but water. We ordered 2 toast and a coffee.. how hard is it. We had to ask to order food and coffee. Lots of staff walking around a half empty restaurant but they still couldn't handle it. In the end we just got up and left after receiving nothing. Too reliant on location. This isn't the first bad experience here with bad service. The food last time was average for the price too. Last chance today, will never go back.

A place for people to swim in the bay, but they have to pay for it

Great location and good service! Food was okay, not amazing and wish they did the lunch menu all day or at least from 11am but would still go back for the beach view!

Tip: Park on the other side of the road not at the front of the cafe which is too expensive.

We had our wedding reception there a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't be happier! So accommodating to our needs, great food and drinks selection, and stunning views of the bay. Service was amazing. It was easy to customise things to suit our budget and tastes. Highly recommended as a venue for your wedding or event.

2 stars for location, great views. Now let's come to food, simply terrible, the worst steak I ever tried, chips came without any Salt seasoning. Don't have any standard steak sauce e.g. basics peppercorn, waitress offers the selection of mayo, ketchup, worcestchire etc, standard Woolworth selection.
Avoid at all cost if you can

Terrible service and the staff are rude.
You will wait for 30 minutes for a take away coffee
Food is average , over priced and small servings.
There is no organisation at all with running this place.
Go any where else.

Coffee is good...wedges is okay...but they forgot our Pappardelle Wagyu Bolognese which is our lunch so we left hungry and now need to go for another place on a Monday before year end

Great setting, good coffee, vegan options. Lovely place to sit in the sun by the beach.

Nice place to sit at the moment and have a quick bite to eat. Choice of either the menu or fish and chips from the kiosk.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. If you're vegan that is. After scanning the menu, and seeing not one dish we could eat, we asked the waitress to check with the manager to see if he could help. The only thing vaguely vegan was a breakfast item and that had feta and egg. Perhaps he could accommodate us with that minus the egg at least? Could he hell. Quote "breakfast ends at midday, if we do it, everyone else will expect it, the domino effect". Seriously? We walked out. Not that they will care, but they just lost around $100 and copped a bad review. Wake up, it's 2019, try and keep up and join in. We'll never darken their door again

Poor service... We walked in asking if an outside table was available and got a blunt reply - 'You're not allowed to sit outside!' What??!
Food was ok but the price does not justify for its quality. The calamari I had was soggy..
It's a pity that they are located in a beautiful spot, but food and service were unsatisfactory.

What a wonderful experience - from the moment you walk in the door till the moment you leave .

The ambiance is stunning - Brighton Beach & the Baths and the views looking over the bay to the city skyline.

The food is exceptional - cooked to perfection by a Chef who clearly cooks from the heart and understands how to cook seafood.
We had whole Snapper & Barramundi fillet - with sides of Broccolini and shoe string fries. Delicious - Followed with the most decadent Dessert menu ( See pics )

This place is amazing it is a place where i would go again it overlooks port phillip bay and is reasonably priced

First cappucino only somewhere between warm and hot...I always require scalding hot and that was achieved 2nd time round.

Serene surroundings in which to begin the working day and get a score on the board on a chilly 3 deg morning

Actually a beautiful place to dine & enjoy.
The food was pretty delicious as well. However, when the idea behind a restaurant with a view is to see a fantastic view of the Melbourne skyline & bay, but the windows are literally so dirty you cannot see out seems pretty pointless & in turn doesn t feel like they take pride in the overall service/ ambiance.
It s too bad and hope they correct this & keep it up.

Very disappointing brekky. Egg wasn't cooked properly - this is unforgiveable. Fritters were barely warm. Coffee was okay.

Went for a coffee, they have a selection of foods on offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are average for what their menu offers.

Great location overlooking the beach. Excellent outdoor seating space seaside. I ordered a Vermecelli salad and it looked great, however it was terribly bland in flavour. Pretty sure there was little to no dressing on the salad so only managed to eat about 30% as it was a bit dry and I was super hungry. Staff were friendly, but not enough on floor to reach out to. I gave the wait staff the feedback but not sure it reached the kitchen as he was trying to clear multiple tables at a time. My husband ordered a burger, which was ok. We went on New Years day so really enjoyed the good weather, but disappointed that we paid a 15% surcharge and I left most of my food on the plate.

Great views, perfect location and food is good but it's a cafe so keep that in mind.Im sure Brighton set give the staff a hard time with 2 bob millionaires aplenty.That being said,the service is slack and needs to be improved.

Incredibly poor service, even though there is a multitude of waiting staff.. You have to wait ages for someone to take you to a table (even though there was a dozen free).. It's a pity the service is so poor, as the food is pretty good..

The service was not good at all.
Espresso Martini did not contain even a drop of alcohol.
Fish and Chips was not delicious and had a skin on it.

Upstairs place is ok. Downstairs is ok as well just for casual meal. When weather is good sitting outside is really enjoyable.
Have to pay for parking.

The food was fresh, tasty and well presented. The service was excellent and prompt, and the view from the outside seats is spectacular.

Disappointed. Both the salmon main course and calamari entree were way too salty. Particularly the salmon, which was practically inedible. The other dishes were underwhelming at best. Wait staff were unfriendly and at times even rolled their eyes! Extremely unprofessional. For the cost this was an immense let down. Will definitely not be returning or recommending. Such a disappointment for a lovely spot.

OK so I was asked by management to come back and give it another go... did so tonight... 11th January.
Wine prices are stupid... $70 for a wine you can buy at Dan's for $15. Ordered an Aarvark Victorian SavBlanc that tasted like a wooded Chardonnay. Sat and watched our bottle of wine an glass of Prosecco sit on the bar for 20 minutes before anyone did anything with it ( we would be on 2nd bottle if they got their quality and act together).
Meal time started with Hommus and Turkish bread... rubbish 1 out of 10.
Mains special ravioli was ok. Salt and pepper calamari 3 out of 10
Service throughout was non existent we had to call someone over for every step.
As I said previously, best location in Melbourne. Worst service, food and drinks in town yet the owner knows everything. Go to the yacht club next door and enjoy a cheap and cheerful experience. Something more special head to Church st, opportunities a plenty.
Won't be putting my health in jeopardy again....

Five starts for the location, five starts for the view, five starts for the service and five starts for the food.
Can't wait to come back again!

Fantastic location. Great quality of food. Not a huge menu but good selection and fresh ingredients.

Not much variety for food but that's the only restaurant around. There's a cafe with take away food next door. Has views of the barricaded sea bath.

In a sunny day, right on the beach, it's hard to beat this jolly cafe. Good simple food and very friendly wait staff who who'll even provide sunscreen if you've forgotten your hat. Outside there's even a vote of the city skyline. Do choose a sunny day and sit outside.

Amazing food and wonderful service. The view is stunning. Would make for a great party/wedding spot. Can't wait to come back in Summer and sit out on the deck.
