Bit pricey and service was incredibly slow. That said, food tasted great.
Delicious brunch with the family. My sister and dad had Herb Caeser salad and I had a Full English Breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. The eggs were great, friend tomato and mushroom were delicious, the bacon and Sausage were deeeelish, and the side dish of potatoes was amazing. Lovely setting, and conveniently Stumptown is adjacent (also inside the Ace Hotel).
First off, Very very and let me say again very loud atmosphere but in saying that the food more than makes up for the hearing damage, the Black pudding with Duck egg and Tarragon sauce is in one word, heavenly, the paring of the egg with the crispy yet soft and succulent black pudding is a combination forged through culinary perfection, every ones favorite the lamb burger with thrice cooked chips and Cumin mayonnaise was delicious the lamb which i asked for medium rare was juicy and flavorful, the thrice cooked chips i will say are nothing supremely special but still a good pairing, for puddings the Stuffed Doughnuts with Goats Cheese Snow and Basil Ice cream and Rhubarb is well.....quite unusual but when all combined dam dam dam is it delicious the rhubarb cuts nicely with a sharp tangy kick into the creamy and sweet stuffed doughnuts and the topping of a scoop of basil ice cream is too die for. April Bloomfield runs a tight ship at this restaurant and should be commended for it, i highly suggest a visit but it might be wise to bring some earplugs
Scotch eggs liked mother used to make, until they took her away.
The service didn t care, was forgetful and took forever. Food was under-seasoned hence tasteless.
Waited 3 hours for a table. Bad food. Awful service.
Not a very good selection of food..very over priced for portions..not very impressed for all the hype that we heard
Great place, the mood is nice, i did like the dark theme however the portions are not according to the price and the taste is good, but nothing special
Great food and service
Food can be less salty
Awesome environment. Great for a sit down meal or just to grab a drink after work. The lamb burger is infamous. I LOVE the scotch egg!! It is definitely a must have! The drinks are professionally prepared. The buttery rum during the winter months is delicious. Can be a long wait on weekends.
Yummy burger, tasty food, nice atmosphere. Overpriced.
The atmosphere is nice. The starter is nice. The main dishes are too salty. Staff are friendly.
Great and fresh products, the executive chef and food are constantly
Loved the lamb shanks, and the ambiance is charming.
Always on the top of my.list. if I find myself to have a business meeting in midtown and I need to stay near by 29th Street , I always schedule my meetings at the bar . Great drinks , good bar food
good food gastro pub type. prices were in line with food quality.
A cool spot with some excellent eats. Their bar area is a nice little spot and offers some tasty cocktails; the bartenders are good for a chat too. The wait staff is professional, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is phenomenal and one of the best dinners in the area.
Great food and good service.
Can be crowded and loud and the bathroom kinda far
Lamb burger is incredible, but the other dishes on my table were hit and miss.
Awesome funky space - great bar & the lamb burger is a must
Absolutely phenomenal. Get the charcuterie plate - rabbit terrine with plums is amazing.
The lamb burger was good, the scotch egg was okay. The service not that good.
Restaurant is wonderful, if you have a big group go for the whole pig. The bar is upbeat with music going until late into the night. Nice mix of people here from late night computer workers to business professionals.
Pricy but the cheese sandwich was made well and filling.
This place is known for their lamb burger and it's delicious! It's topped with onion and feta cheese and served with some amazing fries. The bun is a hard roll, which makes it a little hard to eat.
The cask beer is like an IPA so be prepared.
Friendliest staff! French fries come served with some highly addictive aioli of sorts and I am into it. Closes on the earlier side due to hotel connection.
Great drinks. 5 mini falafels for 14 bucks no pita! Give me pita
I don't get the hype about this place. The portions were too small, but tasty.
Great for your Sunday brunch before grabbing a flight.
Generally very good food if you're into the untraditional. Service, not so much.
I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :)
Food: Excellent. I really enjoyed the salmon.
Drinks: Great.
Space: This is a modern, elegant and sleek lounge with a very open and intimate floor layout. The tables, communal style tables, lounge chairs and ottomans all are designed to create a intimate setting. It is the perfect layout for mixing and mingling, date nights, and get-togethers.
Scene: Singles Scene. Date night. Pickup scene.
Crowd: 30-40s Afterwork crowd. Mostly corporate and professionals.
Service: Bar staff and servers are courteous.
We had great breakfast here. Friendly staff , great food and awesome atmosphere . Try the English breakfast with Bloody Mary
What a cool place with impressive decor! Feels like you go back in time to an old British pub in the middle of the countryside. The food is a good resemblance of what food could have been back then in Medieval times. Every dish that I've had there has been a proof of good cuisine in NYC. I wish I could create a bar at my place like this one, old cricked hardwood floors, dark mahogany wood throughout the walls and ceilings and very unique art/lighting. Great place for drinks or dinner.
The atmosphere is too stuffy and the music is too loud, but The Breslin makes a very nice lamb burger.
The burger arrives with a lot of pomp accompanied by an enormous knife and small basket of 5 or 6 equally gigantic fries. Though they are few, the fries are unbelievably good. If the burger was nothing special, the fries would still be worth it. However, the burger is excellent. The lamb is juicy and the mild white cheese sauce accompanies it beautifully.
Great British style brunch. Creative cocktails. Limited bar seating. Can also have drinks in the lobby area. They usually over estimate the wait time - expect to to be half of that.
Great place to grab some quality breakfast items. Dimmed lighting helps those who might still be a bit hungover or sensitive to light. In the summer it's great because it keeps the place cool as well.
Had the steel cut oatmeal and a side of home fries. The home fries aren't necessarily fried and more or less, roasted. However, they are still top notch!
Good service, although the tap water tasted like flat seltzer/tonic water.
the best burger I ever ate! the lamb burger will knock your socks off! feta cheese! thrice cooked frys! . and great beer & cocktails!
Great food. Very good drinks, with a British accent everywhere.
I wouldn't recommend it if you are vegetarian or vegan. Theres are some options, but this is not the place for you.
Yum! Pumpkin soup and the *best*grilled ham and cheese ever served in a cool, cozy atmosphere.
service pace was a bit slow for Sunday Brunch. Unique interior and furnishings
Great and personable service, absolutely amazing food, and great wine and cocktail list, cannot recommend the cocktails enough for post-dinner fun.
The food was delicious. The MP steak is quite expensive so be careful before ordering. The atmosphere was very nice. I would definitely go again.
Sunday am brunch. Slow service - 30 mins for food when not busy. Food ok but not so special as to justify the wait.
I love this restaurant. We had a wonderful Valentine's meal last night. The pork chops were moist and delicious.
Breakfast is excellent, if a bit pricy. A decent (and fairly posh) full English. Sausage was a bit flat. The Harissa Kale was fantastic. Gorgeously curated interior with a pub-like feel.
So $21 for a burger? Are you kidding? How do you feel comfortable charging so much for a hamburger?
That was my thought BEFORE the first bite. Here's how I feel now...
$21 for a burger? I'll definitely take one, this is heaven in a ground up lamb patty.
Absolutely delicious and worth the money. I'm glad I wasn't too cheap to try it out.
Excellent Sunday brunch, we went with a large party and everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. I would recommend a reservation, especially for 5+ people. Cool atmosphere and nice staff.
Very tasty food, features natural and organic. Interesting ambiance and cozy booths. Cocktails were on point.
This place has the best burger in NYC (period). The lamb burger with feta is definitely worth the wait and I would recommend to always book ahead and this place gets busy. If you are out of luck you can always try to get a seat at the bar and order there
The Fries. The chips. Whatever you call them. The first time I came here I ordered them for dessert they were so good with the burger. Growing up in Idaho bestows few notable benefits or positions of authority, but I know my potatoes, and the Breslin prepares French fries that are the platonic form, the absolute definition of the perfect thick fry. If your tastes run shoestring, try the equally Michelin starred Spotted Pig, but the fries, alone, with the lamb burger, with fish at lunch - perfection. The service has also always been charming and personable in a way New York service so often isn't. One of my favorite places to eat.
Great for a burger and a beer, even better if you do the whole suckling pig reserved dinner, one of the most memorable and delicious group meals in NYC.
Incredible food here! Everything we ordered was amazing!
Went there 10:30am Friday. Asked the waiter for two screwdrivers. Waiter The bar isn t open, it s 10:30am in a way like we shouldn t be drinking at 10:30am. Nice guy though, food was good, and we shouldn t have been drinking at 10:30am. Learned that when got home with a hot dog at 5am next day.
Recommendation; turn bar open sign off if bar isn t open. Market is open, bar is open.
Great pub in the nomad area, wonderful food, excellent drink menu and vibe!
Great place! Delicious food, excellent service, really nice environment!
I ve been going to this place for years, and the food always amazes me. Always glad to go back. Great service, great atmosphere, and the best ambience to eat the best meat.
I heard amazing things about the pig dinner, but I came here for Brunch instead. It was crowded, but still well-lit and comfortably arranged. Breslin as a general restaurant is incredible, but I wasn't feeling it that day. Maybe I was in the mood for green eggs and ham instead...
I suggest trying it out for yourself at least once. It's quality food, so you won't go wrong there.
Brunch is quite good, the lamb burger is tasty - or if you have a large group go for the full pig dinner.
Amazing starter and atmosphere ruined by the rubbish customer service after complaining about a very expensive mediocre main meal and STILL no response over a week later.
Food always surprises and delights at the ol'english feeling resto. April continues to churn out dishes that have playful interpretations on staple items.
Lamb Burger. Come here with a client once in a while, and I always look forward. Dont expect to have the kitchen do any substitutes, though... simple requests shot down.
We're Breslin regulars, particularly for brunch. Go on the early side if you want to avoid a long wait.
Two words: Lamb Burger
I think it's a waste of time if I write anything else so go immediately because HOLY ISHHH it's amazing and I can't stress it enough.
It comes with really good thick and crispy fries and some heavenly cumin mayo. Just go, you won't regret your choice or the price you're paying for it.
Decent food from Chef April Bloomfield but nothing spectacular given the prices.
Excellent grilled cheese and ham...you MUST get the fries!
Great choices for meat with options! Lamb burger was great cooked medium rare (as others have said). Good local beer choices and very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Also, wine lovers are sure to find something that they love!
The best halibut I have ever eaten. Phenomenal food.
