Average buger as my average British people would produce. Not worth the money and not half as good as other bugers in NYC.
I organized a large group dinner for a friend's birthday party here at The Breslin. Due to the size, and that my friend wanted to eat at the chef's table, it required a contract, and coordinating with an events coordinator. The food was pretty good, but the reason why I am giving The Breslin one star is because of the poor customer service from the events coordinator. The events coordinator was not good, did not reply to email in a timely manner, and did not answer questions until I called and spoke to the lead of events. There was an unnecessary amount of time put into trying to coordinate the details of the dinner, and despite the efforts and the contract, when we showed up for dinner at the reserved chef's table, there were not enough chairs for our group. I was so unimpressed by the lack of detail. This dinner bill was a little over $1300.00 for 9 people. I thought, the chefs and the other employees work too hard to have a bad events coordinator downgrade guests' restaurant experience. I contacted the restaurant manager, and after several days was able to finally talk to him and tell him my experience. After talking to him, I don't think anything is going to change. With so many restaurants in New York City, I would NOT return to this one because of the poor customer service experience and lack of any real desire to change that. Food is not the only reason people return to a restaurant.
If you like good old American foods that are lean and mean, then the Breslin is for you, some of New Yorks finest chefs and food that taste like your eating with the Gods! Then look no further cause the Breslin is for you! Food cooked to your taste and your liking, with top Chefs that cook food that make your pallids beg for more. So come on down to the Breslin and enjoy a meal like no other.
Lovely place. Watching Oscars here. Cozy and friendly
Elegant space and delicious food. Very transporting!
Best roasted tomatoes I have ever tried in my life. Seriously, try them out. Totally worth the price. If you combine them with the baked cheese sandwich... Heaven.
Fancy egg dishes and lamb burgers. Also try the lamb bacon.
Cool vibe. Menu overall heavy. Lamb burger unique and tasty.
Lovely little bar, good cocktails, staff could do with training on acknowledging customers, never think it was part of a hotel
Great breakfast, perfect quality control, nice atmosphere & really helpful staff for us tourists!
Elegant, cozy, trendy restaurant inside in a hotel in Koreatown. We had an amazing late dinner, we got reservations, everything was great. From the wine we ordered to the spiced roasted carrot salad.
Its a must in New York!
Elegant, cozy, trendy restaurant inside of a hotel in Koreatown. We had an excellent late dinner, made reservations, everything was spectacular. From the wine we ordered to the "spice roasted carrot salad."
It is a must in New York!
The Breslin was an impromptu decision that Sunday morning. My wife and I wanted to try somewhere new and we definitely found it at The Breslin! The restaurant is in the Ace Hotel, a beautiful boutique hotel located on 29th Street close to the Flatiron building. The Breslin interior goes well with the funky design of the Ace Hotel lobby. When you walk in your first impression is that it's dark. When your eyes grow accustomed to the surroundings you can see the wonderful details hidden in the dark on dark design. Subtle textures become bold and it feels both primeval and romantic. The tables are small and seating is cozy but the staff floats gracefully through the space never bumping into my chair. The food is comforting and delicious. I had the Breslin breakfast, fried eggs with both pork and blood sausage, roasted tomatoes and mushrooms, lamb bacon, thick whole wheat toast with strawberry preserves and butter. So good. I can't wait till the next time I'm in New York and have dinner there.
i love the food its amazing the cocktails might be expensive but they are worth it!!! check this out breakfast lunch or dinner come early it gets busy!!! or get a party and get the whole pig
Excellent 32oz Dry aged bone in for 2 is spendy but cooked perfect. Sides, wine, service conducive to a proper business dinner. I covet the Schlitz bull beer sign in bar.
Good food. Had the poached eggs and curried lentils. Good combo. Coffee was good too! Service was attentive. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that is was so dark in there. I had to double check whether I had sunglasses on or not. Overall a great place!
Chose this venue for lunch. It was a snap decision, but an excellent one. It s located inside the Ace hotel. If you enter the Ace s lobby, you may be momentarily confused as they have a bar straight ahead, a seating area in the center, and More
What a gem of a restaurant! The hunter-meets-goth vibe of the interior decor is wonderfully nostalgic, dark and welcoming. The only downside of the dim lighting is the poor food photography. Also, at 5:30pm on a Saturday night it was hopping - I love it when a restaurant is lively all day and not just late at night. The service is also top-notch. Despite a snafu in the reservation system - which lost my confirmed reservation - the hostess was able to accommodate me and my husband in a very timely manner (with a smile on her face!). Our server was also knowledgeable, helpful and eager to please. The food is truly delectable - my husband devoured his scotch egg; the mozzarella and mushroom appetizer was so creamy, rich, earthy and light; the cauliflower side with confit garlic was comforting; and, the lamb burger was everything everyone said it would be! Dessert was also a treat - the housmade peanut butter banana ice cream was a perfect end to our leisurely meal.
Spectacular. Food is simultaneously traditional and experimental...do not skip the terrine.
The food was acceptable, the price is also acceptable, the staff was helpful and tried to be kind, the dishes need a big update to make more logical in the way of presenting and serving, there was no bread, there was not a salt seller in the dinner, that cannot be called dinner anymore, is more like a tiny restaurant wanting to be a dinner
Great bar, very New York. Lamb burger is amazing and great cocktails
The lamb burger is to die for. Scotch eggs are fantastic, and the fish and chips for lunch is absolutely crispy and juicy.
Can't even mention the cocktails, no words to describe.
I always come back!!!
The slowest and most obnoxious service I have ever experienced in NYC. Never come here. Ever. Paid $140 for a steak that was at least 30% fat. Arrogant management and wait staff dared to defend this pathetic dish. Trust me, you can do better. Should have gone to Chandni.
This place is fun. Came for brunch on a Saturday with my little one in tow (keep in mind this place is 21+, except for family hours) and some family (party of 5 total). Everyone was very nice and the food was absolutely delicious - everyone finished their plates. The brunch menu is a little limited but it seems like they change it up. Street parking was found fairly close by.
Great Place for Breakfast. We had a 3 Cheese Sandwich and a Buttermilkp ancake. Fresh and so tasty. Try the tomatoes! Friendly Staff. But quality has it s price
Oh the mighty have fallen. This used to be one of our favorite spots, but wow, what a decline in quality. The scotch egg is still unreal, but the lamb burger was cold and not up to standards, and the pork chop was so tough my knife barely could cut through. We waited 45 minutes between apps and entrees, as did every table around us.
Popped in with a colleague during a work trip. Food here was really good and the wait wasn't too long which is a plus when you're between meetings! Had a lamb burger which was seasoned really well, one of the best burgers I've had.
Stopped in for breakfast on new years day. Really good, interesting breakfast items - not your typical eggs and bacon for sure. Will definitely stop in for dinner next time we're in the area.
When I go to NYC, I always make sure to have breakfast or lunch there. I love the food and place.
Octopus appetizer was phenomenal. Lamb burger is also very good along with the duck breast.
What a spot! Unpretentious quality paired with amazingly reasonable prices. Whether you're familiar with lamb or not, do yourself a favor and enjoy the well coordinated layers of favors in the lamb burger.
Drinks were good, Scotch egg app was delicious. Service was a bit slow and both my wife's lamb burger and my pork shoulder were extremely salty.
I love everything about this place. The vibe, the dark wood magically lit sleek bar & restaurant, the amazing food & 5 service.
Had breakfast here. Good food, but expensive (8$ orange juice?!?) - and the staff took their time even though the place wasn't that packed
A great British Restaurant with a great ambiance and great service.
Fries were amazing! ...once our waiter finally found us. Maybe it was just a one off night. Had the lamb burger it was HUGE and delicious.
Dropped by for early breakfast. Fantastic Cheese Sandwich, Steel Oats and excellent service.
Great british pub with a great ambiance and good food.

I want to update my review. Levi Jones, the general manager of The Breslin, got in touch with me and apologized for our treatment last Sunday (we were told that the Restaurant Week Lunch we came for was "Sold Out") . He asked us to come back and try The Breslin again, and we did. We wound up having a wonderful time at the Breslin today. Selena, our waitress, treated us so beautifully and the food was incredible! I really really love how the chefs amp up the flavor of everything that they serve. From start to finish, every dish that we had was like an unami bomb (that's a good thing)! So delicious! We will be back soon. Thank you Levi! Rob
This place is super cute. Went here for drinks and they were expertly crafted and strong. The interior was dark, but inviting. Went here for a date, and it was really a perfect place to do so. Looking forward to going back to try the food.
The decoration of the restaurant was nice.
But the food was OK the salad was great in the little cake the banana cake pie was delicious
It was just ok. Not sure I see why they have a michelin star. None of the food stood out.
british food and the feeling at this spot is excellent. Super appetizing.
The Breslin was so good that I came here twice during my trip to NYC - despite the deluge of culinary variety nearby.
I had the Blood Sausage, Roasted Apples, and Mash with a Scotch Egg on my first visit.
Every component of the meal was expertly crafted and was a delight to eat.
I'd never had a Scotch Egg before but now I most certainly will have many more in the future.
During my second visit, I had to try the Lamb Burger.
The fries were great - but the Lamb Burger was heavenly.
My jaw hurt from slowly chewing it to savor the taste.
I'll be sure to come back.
Great place for after-work dinner. Awesome staff with great services. My entree and dessert were both delicious.
Over priced food. Service staff had low enthusiasm and unhelpful even making a comment after sitting for a total of 45mins and spending over $120 on food oh your still here thought you would have left by now . We also had very Minor dietary restrictions, request was ignored. Very sad, given it s a beautiful location and great vibe.
5 starts for the indoor decor. It is a classic New York, with dimmed lights, extra tall ceilings and is very spacious.
Food... good. Just a bit too salty... but it could be one day where salt was a star.
Had the skirt steak and scotch egg on a weekday for lunch. Both were excellent.
Nice hotel, fries too salty and uncoordinated service. Satisfying but I must have misread the 1 star.
Good place to have lunch with customers. Food is ready quickly and there is internet. Personal attention may be better.
Great place that was convenient to our hotel. We stopped in for lunch and had the suggested lamb burger- NO DISAPPOINTMENT HERE! It was so well cooked and juicy. I highly suggest it if you have the chance. Also, a couple who came in after us and sat near us in the bar area ordered the same thing we did. They were given their food first and we had to wait. However, the bartender quickly noticed, apologized, and offered us a complimentary glass of wine for our understanding. Great customer service at the bar as far as I can tell. Definitely recommended if you happen to need a suggestion for NYC.
The Breslin is a hot spot in Manhattan for brunch. It's very trendy and usually has a very long wait, but if you're in good company - the wait is worth it. Definitely try one of their signature cocktails while you are waiting for a table. If you're not feeling adventurous, they make a great bloody mary. If you are feeling the "unch" part of brunch, try the lamb burger. It is the best lamb burger I've ever tasted and probably one of the top 10 burgers I've ever had. If you are more in the mood for the "br" side of brunch, go for the poached eggs. The yogurt and cilantro make it light and refreshing. I've never been to the Breslin for dinner, but it's definitely on my to-do list to return.
Various beers on tap, the service was excellent and the lamb burger one of my favorites in the city. I highly recommend it.
The atmosphere and pub fare at the Breslin is worth a visit. The lamb burger is unforgettable, while the vibe is great. Don't let the crowds deter you -- they have plenty of space upstairs. Also, brunch is a great time to great this place. The pastries are fresh and they offer some authentic English food.
Always good fun. Prices are mid tier but the service and setting life up to it. Great place to come with friends.
The ceaser salad, the lamb burger, and the liver toasts are where it's at. For breakfast, try the Full English. Seasonal cocktails are creative and refreshing.
Had a great Sunday breakfast here with some of their fine ale.
Good food, service was a little slow. Also they open for brunch at 10 but don't serve alcoholic beverages until 10:30ish, not sure if this was a one time thing or the norm.
I've eaten here on multiple occasions and the place does not disappoint. The lamb burger was exceptional.
A superb discovery during a dinner where we loved everything: I highly recommend!
I had breakfast: the service was extremely slow while there were barely five or six guests in the room ... The pancakes were the worst ever eaten, and e all for a salty addition .. .
Nice place, great food and excellent customer service. We will definitely visit this place again on our next trip to NY!
Ordered a wagyu steak well done. Unfortunately they burned it! That was a disappointment. The rigatoni with beef shin cuts however was quite good. I would consider going back to try more of the signature dishes like the suckling pig. Enjoyed the ambience. I would recommend this place even thought they ruined my meal. Everyone deserves a second chance!
Good pub fare, friendly service. Busy at happy hours. Great place to hang out alone or with friends
