We didn't stay overnight, but were meeting up with some folks who did. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful.

I stayed in July in a balcony suite. They put me in a room with construction directly underneath the room that started at 7 am and went all day. When I called about my issue they were very pleasant and let me know they would accommodate me when I returned for my issues. Fast forward to me making reservations they first told me the room was unavailable, I then called reservations directly and the room was available, but their idea of accommodating was to charge me 450 more a night for the same room. The GM's assistant tried to convince me that she was doing me a favor. No thanks.
Best hotel in the quarter. Historically fascinating, staff friendly and location is excellent!!
Lovely ambiance in the hotel restaurant. The duo singing classics made it great.
Room 652 is uncomfortably small for two people. Bathroom shower head cannot be moved so if you're 5'5 and taller, it may be difficult move raise your arms. Hotel itself looks nice. Wifi is so-so. Don't expect to do anything more than mild browsing. Friends stayed in a two bed room (641) and was very spacious. Quiet hotel, won't hear noise from up the block.
Walked in to check out that hotel looked really nice
Visited for a conference, but did not stay. In any case, I did think the rooms were fantastic, the staff world-class, but the location above all was excellent.
Really liked the hotel.
It was located in a very nice place in the city, and though Bourbon Street, the rooms were quiet. Breakfast in the hotel is nice, though I would not call it exceptional. The rooms themselves are a little small, but that is to be expected so close to the center of New Orleans. All in all, the location and the looks of the hotel really lifted my stay here from a 4 star to a 5 star experience.
Lovely facility and attentive staff, in the old southern tradition.
Hotel is great, noise level could be less for my liking. However I know ur going to get that if you stay on Bourbon. There is also road construction going on which added greatly to noise levels. If your staying anytime soon I'd recommend not staying on first level or staying on pool side of hotel if you like your sleep. Service is on par!
Our stay at the Bourbon Orleans was spectacular. We were in a two-level suite without a balcony, and it was perfect for what we needed. The access to a fridge, two floors, a wet bar, and two TVs was good for just being together or for hosting people. The staff were all very friendly from the moment we met a bell person to the point we checked out. Overnight staff were especially accommodating of partygoers who might have been chatty.
The music in the bar on Sunday night was exquisite live music without feeling too much like a drunken party. Definitely worth hearing that! The location with access to Bourbon Street and all of the quarter so quickly, really cannot be beat! Friends of ours had a balcony on Bourbon Street, and their massive room was stunning. It was very fun to watch the Bourbon party without having to be in it and to have access to air conditioning to cool down!
The bathroom counters were particularly low to the ground, which is difficult when you're taller. I would stay here again without question (and probably will) but I will definitely skip the room service breakfast which had all the right ingredients but was very bland.
Might of gotten 5 stars if they management communicated better with their guests. They did eventually resolve the issue but still a big pain in the butt having to get a ride to a sister pool. The room and hotel is well maintained for the age. The free ghost tour for guest was great and included free drinks and snacks. Super close to the action and historic sites. Would def stay with them again
Love the live jazz band. Staff are friendly, drinks and cocktails are awesome, with get-it-yourself unlimited water with lemon.
Best jazz jam I ever saw with a classy bar. Un beatable.
Clean throughout this hotel...staff very friendly...beds the best of any hotel I have ever stayed in....oh and ask to stay on floor 6..
Great hotels with an awesome staff. Just wish are stay had been longer
Great place to stay! Clean and centrally located! Service was EXCELLENT and beyond expectations! Hallways a tich noisy during the day, but otherwise fine. SO enjoyed our stay!
Awesome location amazing room excellent staff wonderful service
Great location, right in the heart of the French Quarter! Nice rustic, hotel that is clean but a little old. Very friendly and helpful staff! I had a regular room, not the loft suites but did have a balcony with a view of the inside courtroom. The only issue I had was the door to the balcony was at times difficult to close and open. And I think there was a small leak as the carpet near the balcony door would have moisture due to the hard rain. Overall a good hotel!
Great location, nice staff and hotel was clean and a very nice pool
Nice and elegant hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. We attended a wedding there and really enjoyed ourselves.
Beautiful hotel with much history. Loved the location. A few minutes walk to anywhere in the French Quarter. Very friendly staff, and extremely accommodating. If you have a balcony room (which is fantastic) be warned that some noise from Bourbon Street below can be heard until very late. Small price to pay for a wonderful experience in the heart of the Quarter. Will definitely be back.
Staff was very nice. Room service food when I stayed in sick one night was delicious. But bed was not comfortable and the room environment was really noisey.
The hotel foyer is smartly appointed and the staff is wonderful - esp. Kim at the front desk working the night shift. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was well designed and clean as well.
We LOVED the Bourbon Orleans. The location is Perfect. It is close to EVERYTHING!! Bourbon Dtreet if you want to Party down. Restaurants surrounded hotel. Little shops...so much to see within walking distance. I came here with my teo children ages 14 and 7 they both had a great time. The Hotel itself is just Beautiful. We had no problems with noise. We even stayed on the ground floor facing Orleans street. Right down the hall from the pool. Which was also very nice. Thursday nights the Hotel gives a Free Ghost toir of the Hotel. They open the Grand Ballroom to whomever takes this tour. Very unique and a lot of fun the kids loved it just as mich as my husband and I did. The Front Desk managers are always super nice. Complimentary iced tea available in the lobby durring the day and coffee in the morning. Hotel room was very clean and the beds super comfy. If I travel to New Orleans again. The Bourbon Orleans will be the Hotel I stay at again.
Walked around inside. Very nice place and apparently it's haunted
Very nice interior and event area. Staff very accommodating and understanding of guest needs.
Nice room over looking pool. It was clean and quiet which was a surprise and a fantastic location. The staff was friendly and helpful. On thurs to sun a great little side bar is set up in lobby with the best bloody marys to help with nite before lol. The price was a bargain
Decent hotel in a very good location in the French quarter
Beautiful hotel in the middle of French Quarter. We were even visited by spirits. Not scary but strange. Great experience.
Beautiful historical landmark
Central location
Quiet on interior rooms. Balcony rooms look amazing for people watching on Bourbon Street
My wife and I spent the weekend at the Bourbon Orleans ten years ago for our honeymoon. It was a great hotel, so I called to try to book a room for our 10th anniversary weekend. They would not allow me to book a room for a single night and the woman that I spoke with was not friendly. Poor customer service!
Beautiful hotel! Stunning room! Great staff! Nice bar and bartenders connected to hotel! Location is perfect! We visit New Orleans 4 or more times a year and this is by far was our favorite place! Thank you!
I attended a wedding at the hotel. The staff seemed unorganized and confused. I was putting off by the response of the event coordinators during the beginning of the ceremony. Overall, the hotel seemed clean and nice, but service needs improvement.
I enjoyed my stay - great location, comfortable bed.
Was part of the Ghosts and Spirits Tour. Was great ending of the tour!
Great hotel to stay at. Central location on bourbon street. 10 min from french quarter
Amazing bar! Great decore, excellent staff, perfected drinks and skilled bands make this a 5 star venue.
Our favorite hotel to stay in the French Quarter. Friendly staff, convenient location, comfortable rooms.
Hate the place, put us in a room that had these communication doors. The couple on one side is in love, then we have to spend every second we are in the room listening to other people's sex at full volume. We reported to the guests and did nothing. We could not sleep at dawn and we would go back to the hotel and try to rest from the lost night and they were there again and nothing was done. The hotel is full, there are no other rooms and if someone asks why we do not use earplugs, I reply that if they were used and they did not work. The worst hotel experience of my life !!
Beautiful hotel with great service. Definitely on the pricey side.
Great place to visit when your in New Orleans.Great rooms, wonderful food, and awesome people
Great location in the French Quarter. Walking distance to multiple attractions including Jackson Square. Nice rooms with comfortable beds. Showers are not for tall people, but otherwise nice. Multi-floored rooms make a nice change from a standard hotel. Highly recommended. Buffet breakfast is pricey but walking to Cafe Dumond was worth it for beignets and coffee/hot chocolate.
people are friendly, rooms are nice. but if you want to eat forget about it. came in Monday, dont serve anything on mondays. Tuesday, we did get breakfast. then it rained so went to get lunch or order room service. never lunch and no room service.
Beautiful setting, rooms are clean, staff is friendly and professional.
Love everything . Very close to all the best restaurants and clubs. Great staff.
Stuck in an elevator... called front desk by phone and the emergency button. They hung up on us 4 times!! Lovely hotel, but they need some serious training!!
I booked a hotel room through Expedia for The Bourbon Orleans Hotel on August 5th 2014 for New Year s Eve through the following Saturday. I have printed documentation from Expedia stating Total: $______ Payment due at check-in. Total hotel charges including taxes are billed at hotel. A deposit is not required to complete this reservation. Your credit card will be used to guarantee the reservation. $0 due now . I have printed email documentation with confirmation number and itinerary number from Expedia to show my reservation had gone through with the Bourbon Orleans ( We have confirmed your hotel reservation with the property ). However, last week (one week prior to our departure), I called the hotel to confirm my reservation was set and was told by the hotel that they had cancelled my reservation in November. When I asked why I was told that the hotel s policy for New Years and Mardi Gras is to collect full payment due upfront and that they had attempted to run my card and the charges did not go through. I have extra security on my credit card to prevent fraud and had already notified them that I was traveling in December. They declined the charge assuming it was fraud and the hotel then cancelled my reservation. NO ONE NOTIFIED ME. If I had been called by hotel I would have paid in full immediately as requested, or if Expedia had listed the hotel s "temporary policy" I would have paid it in full in August. As far as Expedia was concerned, the reservation was still correct and I was all set for my trip, but the hotel informed me that they no longer had any rooms available and I was out of luck one week before New Year s. I asked to speak with the supervisor (Drew) and he did not show concern whatsoever that they had stranded 3 females a week before departure without even notifying me of the attempt to charge my card or of the cancellation (Expedia also told me they found him rude and completely unhelpful). I did read them word for word what booking through Expedia stated (that no deposit was required and that the payment would be due at check in), however, according to them that was Expedia s mistake as they should have made me aware of their two night a year policy. I plan to submit this concern to both the BBB and consumer advocacy as travelers should be aware that this hotel may cancel their reservation at any time without notifying them and has no intentions to assist their customers in the event that they leave them completely stranded. Triple check that your reservation hasn't been cancelled or you may be in for a horrible surprise when you try to check into this hotel. Happy New Year's!
Been there several times and the service was always very good
If you're going to be in New Orleans this is the place to be. The rooms are gorgeous and it's in the perfect location just make sure you get the rooms on the inside around the pool it tends to be a little noisy on the outside.
Staff was so great! Love the history here. Hotel was amazing.
Great bar on the corner of Bourbon and fun atmosphere.
Biggest pool in the quarter. Grand stair cases. Two difference bars. Ghost tours for the guests.
It was a very good experience from the beginning to the last minute. When we arrived from airport it was 9 am local time.
Nevertheless the receptionist gave us the keys. The room was conveniently located next to the elevator. That was exactly what l requested due to the knee surgery I had just a week before.
The room and the bathroom we're spotless.
The mattress we're comfortable. The nice surprise was a bottle of champagne awaiting us in the room. The cleaning team
was working had to keep everything in order. The location of hotel just couldn't be better!
No doubt, Bourbon Orleans will be my first choice when the next time we visit this very special city!
I haven't visited the property yet, but I booked through booking.com about 6 months ago and had a little problem with canceling. The hotel made sure I was taken care of! I look forward to visiting later this summer.
Nice hotel. Great rooms. Could have had the same experience for less money.
room was very nice. great service. expected it to be a lot louder being right on bourbon street. nothing to really complain about per se. for the price point i guess i just expected nicer. beds weren t very comfy and the pillows were meh. honestly, i think the star rating would be higher if the bathrooms were bigger. hate an open shower like that. and just no space to do your business and get ready for that day.
Fantastic to work with! Hector and staff were amazing.
In a great location, close to everything. The bed is comfortable and they provide the typical amenities of a normal hotel.
Very nice hotel. Loved learning about all the haunted things about the hotel in the lobby
The location is perfect for the French Quarter and the rooms are very clean. The staff is very nice and will go out of their way to help.
Room is impeccable, as is the service. Very convenient location and is walking distance to everything the French Quarter has to offer. Taxis are readily available, and the Street Car/Bus is a short walk away. Highly recommend.
It was a wonderful historical hotel with a great view from the balcony. Very friendly service and staff. The room was lovely and well equipped and clean. It definitely goes on my "A" list!
Loved staying at this hotel. The rooms were small but the location in the French Quarter was great!
Lobby was very clean and well decorated. They also have water and ice tea near the front door and had kings cake at check in. We were able to get into the room a little early, we arrived a little before 2:30 (check-in was at 3) and they were very helpful
Had a nice stay beds were confy salt water pool is nice
Friendliest staff ever! Kind of on the small side for a room, but I barely spent time even sleeping here anyways. Great to be right on Bourbon Street but on the edge of all the commotion
The hotel is very nice, has a great quality. Location directly on Bourbon Street, therefore very "safe" and no long stretches of foot or car necessary to explore the French Quarter. Valet parking for $ 38 per day worked great, you let me know when my car needs your car again and it is at the door. Really great. The service was very good anyway, staff very nice! Luggage would be brought to the room and picked up again with a quick phone call. Room and bathroom were very clean, iron, ironing board and hair dryer were also available.
The hotel is right on the corner of Bourbon Street, if you are visiting New Orleans on the weekend you have to expect some noise until 5am, as hip bars and clubs are in the immediate vicinity. But no problem with ear plugs / ear plugs.
Loved it here. Clean, great staff. Check in was great, staff so helpful with recommendations for eating and music.
Stayed at this hotel during JazzFest. Was relatively happy with my stay. As my boyfriend and I left the hotel he had realized that he left a poster that he had bought in his room. We called the hotel and asked that it be shipped to our home if it wasn't too much trouble. Needless to say, the hotel had charged my credit card $46.26!!! If they would have told me it would have cost 4x the cost of the actual poster I would have said keep it. I considered looking past the uncleanliness of this hotel because of its location, but now I know that these people are scammers. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. Go to a better hotel in New Orleans, you may pay a little bit more, but at least you know that you won't get scammed. Ridiculous
Efficient and helpful staff, great housekeeping, super convenient
