Never buy an ebike from these guys. We bought one then they quit selling the bike and we had a lot of battery issues now they no longer make the bike and if you can find a battery it will cost you $600 just to replace the battery. They seem to sell a lot of bikes that are no longer being made so it becomes harder to find parts especially batteries for them and if you can find the parts or batteries they are extremely high priced and not worth the cost. Lesson learned we will never do business with these people again.

Scott and Team provide a variety of products bikes, trikes and specialty needs. Their excellent advice is great for new and experienced riders. Give them a chance for all your cycling needs!

Just bought my first mtb, the marin san quentin 3. Awesome experience. These guys answered all my questions. (Yes all hundred thousand questions). Customer service was top notch. And they are pretty cool dudes to talk shop with.

Worst Experience possible. I spent $3,000 on a Giant Defy 2, a Thule Helium, and accessories. The Thule rack sheered off in the lot, near the store, and was covered by Thule, and dropped my new bike as well as 2 others. Instead of treating me with respect, the young man treated me with little to no respect, and or help. Instead of being the victim, the wanted to leave me with the ball, not go to bat for Thule. I have taking in also a Schwinn, Giant, and Gary Fisher. All were more labor than A-1, or Big Shark, but since I bought the bike there, I thought I might get a better deal, or good work. Neither was the case. The said they went through the bikes before, and after the Thule rack broke, and sent me on my way, only to have my father fall off one of them, and the other new Giant having seriously issues. I asked to speak the shop owner, waited to Friday, to only be told return it, and "get out of our life". I have never spent so much money, and treated so poorly and no respect. I try to spend our money locally, but I would avoid this shop at all costs. Go to Big Shark or A-1, a shop that seeks customer satisfaction, and has 30 return policy. That also stands by their work. No ones safety should be compromised, when riding a bike. The shop owner, when on to insult my fathers profession, and seek to retribution himself on our bushiness, despite never eating or shopping at them. This speaks of a small man of little character.

*Stay away from this shop, at all costs. Spare yourself the trouble. Bike are a lifetime investment you want to be happy with.

Stopped in to browse and felt very welcome. Staff was very helpful and spent a lot of time talking with me.

I drive 40 minutes and pass up a lot of other bike shops to get to The Bike Center. We came in looking for a recumbent for our daughter and left with the greatest experience we've had buying a bike. (And a great bike). Since then we've had them tune-up our own bikes and couldn't be happier with the service. I've bought bikes at several shops in St. Louis and have never felt as comfortable with the staff and the purchase. The staff is so knowledgeable and kind - they were unbelievably patient and helpful with all of our questions while we were navigating purchasing the recumbent. I'm about ready to add another bike to the family and I won't go anywhere else but here.

Adam and Joey were great! Helped my daughter and son with various questions and advice on their bikes and just bike stuff in general. When my daughter forgot to mention one of the things that needed to be repaired on her bike until we picked it up, Adam quickly jumped in to make the adjustment without hesitation. Joey helped her pick out a cool water bottle holder when mom s advice wasn t quite enough! (Lol). Friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, fast service - just a great experience all the way around! What a bike shop ought to be! Looking for a bike for someone who hadn't ridden in several years. More than one staff member was helpful in making recommendations and taking the time to answer all our questions -- without any pressure to buy! Suggested test riding as many as we wanted! Brought my 25 year old bike in for tune up and was given an estimate of $75. A few hours later Joey called to tell me that it was ready AND he discovered that I had purchased a service agreement at some point so my tune-up fee is covered!

I dropped off my recumbent tricycle for a full tuneup on a Friday. The mechanic on duty advised that Saturday was their busy day but I assumed they would work it in. I heard nothing all weekend and called back on Monday. They started two easy repairs but the bike sat largely untouched for three days. I picked it up just as I left it on Monday afternoon. They took a walk-in flat repair and a brake adjustment walk in while I loaded my bike alone into my truck. Service is non-existent for some customers but excuses are plentiful.

Horrible service and obnoxious staff. Went in to buy 2 $3000 bikes and was ignored. The staff spent their time complaining about customers. Had bought from them before but never again.

The worst experience ive had getting my bike so called fix! I Brought my moutain bike there recently to get tuned up. The bike was working fine it just needed a simple tune up for the summer. . As soon as I picked up my bike i tested it out in the parking lot and I pedaled less than 5 times and my chain came right off which I have never had that issue before they worked on it so I brought it back in they adjusted it again and then my bike would not go into second gear which I've never had that issue until they touched it. So I brought it back in again they tried to adjust it and what do you know gears still do not shift so then the owner looks at it and tells me it's fixed and of course it's still does not shift gears correctly so I complain more and the owner tells me that's as good as its going to get and tells me I need a better bike when the bike I own is less than a year old and I spent over a thousand dollars on it so my bike was not the issue I have a top of the line Gary Fisher. They would not refund my $75 my bike came out worse than when I brought it in the owner is rude and no one there knows how to work on bikes do not waste your money at this place worst bike shop in St Louis by far!!! After the bike center messed my bike up I brought it to big shark bikes in Delmar loop the owner spent less the 5 minutes on my bike and had it working like brand new. Bike center CLEARLY should not be in business!

Best Shop I have ever been to Period. What I love most is they tell you the truth. I have had shops tell me I need new this and that. The Bike Center will say this is good or no need to replace this. I can leave my bike their for service and not stress a second. So do not be worried about high pressure sales or up sells. They will get you in the Bike that best fits you and your budget while make sure it runs like new.

When I couldn t find the bike i wanted in Kansas City, the bike center had it in stock. The owner Scott worked with my schedule and opened up the shop for a bit for me on a day they re closed. Great friendly service and I couldn t recommend highly enough.

One of the best shops in town. It doesn t matter if you re spending $10 on a part or $7k on a new bike, these guys will treat you with the same amount respect. Always undivided attention and friendly. Thank you!!!

We will definitely get our next bikes from here! I had purchased a bike somewhere else and had some problems with it and Scott showed me exactly what needed to be done. He was very efficient and friendly and I will definitely be back to The Bike Center!

I have been a customer of bike center since my very first bike back in the early 80's i'm 31 now and many things have changed since then, however the consistent service and expertise receive from the bike center Family have stayed true. They are the personification of what I personally love about the type of customer service provided by a family that obviously loves what they do. Thank you so much for the years of continued service. The wife and I purchased 2 TerraTrikes there. The owner and the mechanic both worked with us the set them up. Great place and we will be coming back.

My wife and I had been looking for easy riding bikes to go to the stores and just riding around the subdivisions where we live. We were looking on-line for quite awhile but decided to visit several bike stores in the area when we stumbled onto The Bike Center. They seemed to have every bike imaginable and the store was very clean. Everyone we spoke with was extremely polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. They actually listened to what we were wanting and suggested a bike with a "crank forward" design, something we had never heard of before. They then offered to let us test ride the bikes (something you can't do over the internet). The test ride convinced us their recommendation was the perfect fit for us. The bikes rode so smoothly, were very comfortable, and were so easy to pedal we each bought one. It is good to know there is a local store that actually listens to their customers, has a large variety of makes and models available to choose from, and can apply their knowledge and training to connect you with the perfect bike you are looking for.

Bike Center of St. Louis is exceptional. called and asked about 2 bikes. Scott gave me all the details, chatted about the bikes and offered me a great package. Bought it on the phone right on the spot. Scott packed the bike up and shipped it to me immediately. Packaging was excellent. I am very happy I called Scott and did business with Bike Center. Highly recommend.

New owner has really improved customer service experience. Scott has provided demo bikes and loaner parts to help multiple members of the STL Progressive riding group. Great values on bikes and components, as well as lending the help and insights needed to make a great purchase!

I bought my trike there, nearly a 3 thousand dollar investment, and the advice and candid counseling that was provided cut through the BS, and pointed out the best choice for me. I came in to the shop with one thing in mind, but was repointed to a different product (Catrike Expedition) and am thoroughly happy with the choice. They are experts in their field and provide fantastic follow up service!

Always a great experience and just bought another road bike from them. They take trade-ins. Not flashy just knowledgeable bike staff. Ballwin Schwinn sent me here one time because they said the owner can "fix anything".

We came all the way from Alabama to get a bike because our bike shop didn't have any and they were great!
