I recently went to a corporate event to F1 racing and I can t say enough about my experience. First and foremost, the event was overall very well organized! I was amazed by the attention to details and the staff s concern about safety. They initially gathered us in a meeting room to review and sign the waiver forms and, also, to give us a comprehensive, quick and engaging safety training to make sure we were all aware of the risks involved and all different flags to be seen in the track. Once in the track and we started racing, I was amazed by the dedicated staff standing at every curve to make ensure safety. We all felt like in a real racing event.
It is a great place to have fun with a group of friends and/or for team building in a company. Next time I ll bring my wife now that I know these guys really know what safety means!
Ohhh, I almost forgot: the food is good too!

Never been here but I've been told and I have to say looks fun and all but too expensive. $40 dollars for 6 minutes of race time smh.. I'm on a fixed income id like to go but too expensive.
If that improves I'd give it a 5 star but till then I'll have to wait to go...

F1 Boston is single handedly responsible for the worst go karting experience in my entire life. Me and a friend were staying around the Boston area for 10 days as part of a vacation and had the "great" idea to go kart at this seemingly decently enough space. Unfortunately this ended up being a total nightmare.

We initially called on Saturday, the 4th of March to verify if there was an age limit and if there were any other restrictions. The service rep told us there were none, we were able to come in and play. We decided to do so on Monday night, at around 8PM. Upon arrival, we were told the entire track was closed down as part of a some "league" fest. THIS IS NOT ADVERTISED ANYWHERE ON THE WEBSITE. The trip (which was 20 miles and taken with Uber) ended up costing us close to 80$.

The employees who were working at the time were very friendly and understood/apologised for the situation. Because they were so forgiving, we decided to go back the next day, Tuesday the 7th at around 6PM. When we were at the front desk, they informed us that a drivers license was REQUIRED, and you have to be over the age of 18 to play! You can imagine that we were extremely pissed off at this point. Not only did we spend another 80$ on Ubers (totalling 160$ !!!), we also CALLED earlier in the week to be sure we were able to play.

Such a horrific experience. This ruined our night and left us all extremely disappointed and upset. Also noteworthy is that the lady we spoke to on Tuesday was extremely unhelpful and handled the situation super immaturely in comparison to the day before.

If you are serious about getting a fun go kart experience, DO NOT GO HERE. We were not the only people who they denied entry to. We met another group of 4-5 people who all had to leave because of misinformation about the age restrictions. Go to K1 Speed.

It was my first time racing and it was even more fun than I expected it to be. The equipment feels comfortable, the track is intense, and recieving your statisitics at the end of a race is a great touch.

Are you looking for a fun time, for a bachelor party or other outing? This is the place, have gone done for day out with friends and we all had a blast.
The racing feels so fast being so close to the ground, staff was friendly and helpful.
They have a bar and restaurant right there so you can get a drink and bite to eat after you race.

This place is a blast! Makes you feel like a real race car driver with competitive racing!! They have a casual restaurant & bar and a sperate pool table room....everything you need for a fun time under one roof!

it was an awesome time but it was way too expensive. Not like I can complain, since I lapped everyone twice, but if you are a lap or two behind the winner, you dont get to finish all 15 of the laps you overpaid for. While I got all 15 of my laps, everyone else got 11, 12 or 13. go once for the experience, after that its not worth the money.

Get ready to pay an arm and a leg for less time RACING than sitting around waiting for the useless orientation. Seriously they told us we needed ONE HOUR for orientation and we only paid for about 30 minutes of racing (3-4 races). My SO planned a birthday event for me here and mentioned to them several times the occasion and they conveniently did not mention at all that we would not be able to bring an outside cake until we arrived with it in hand. Our group consisted of 9 friends, but we had reserved the entire indoor track. Apparently they would be able to fit up to 18 people on one track, but that seems way too overcrowded. Plus they would limit how many people could race for the finale anyway.

ORIENTATION & SUITING UP
They directed us to one of the conference/classroom type rooms near the back past their show case vehicles. They had a 5 page form of information, contact information and liability for us to go through. We all arrived and started filling this out. 15 minutes past the time of the start of the orientation a woman comes in to check each of our driver's license. Another 15 minutes of idling and waiting passed before a tall man walked in to go over the "Safety" and "Flags". We did not have their instructional video and the guy missed several points such as going over what the black signs on the table meant. In addition we were just informed that they had NO LOCKERS or areas to put our bags. He mentioned there was a coat check, but we did not trust the unscrupulous characters we encountered. Thankfully we had friends just spectating so they watched our stuff. We spent more time idling and watching the other group ahead of us before being ushered downstairs to the track level to get suited up for the equipment. MORE INSTRUCTIONS could have been helpful to put on the layers of headsock (balaclava), neck brace, disgusting race suit and helmet with smudged beyond belief visor.

They did not have enough neck braces available when we were getting ready so one of the team members assured us that they would get us one BEFORE we started racing. They forgot and we immediately received a RED FLAG so everyone needed to stop immediately so they could give one of my friends the neck brace which they forgot. They did not help us with suiting up or figuring out how everything went on. The only thing they assisted with was putting down the extenders for the pedals if some of us were too short.

RACING
We all shuffled into our go kart based on the left most board and each race begins with the single file cautionary lap. Let me tell you those flags that they waved were extremely confusing and inconsistent. One of the people would be waving Yellow and another would be waiving Green then another waving Yellow. They weren't a huge stickler for giving out warnings in our group but I got hit repeatedly. There's obviously no power steering so there's a lot of upper body force needed to direct the karts the way you want them. The seats have NO CUSHIONING whatsoever. If you get hit you will be jolted. I received several lovely souvenirs of bruises all over my body. See the photo for the largest bruises that were in direct contact of those horrible seats. I happened to get hit or spin out and end up stuck several instances in areas that had no one immediately monitoring what was going on so it took several moments for someone to help me as these karts have no reverse direction. Number of laps remaining is determined by the FASTEST racer in the group... I think I only got 2/3 of the full amount.

STAFF
Most of them are indifferent, but as I mentioned they are not the most scrupulous folks. At the end of our scheduled session one of the guys working at the lower level was trying to print out our scores in vain. (This seems like a common occurrence after reading previous reviews. Don't even expect this.) Only the last race seems to matter for the winner to do their victory lap. In addition this kid felt the need to commandeer one of my friend's phones to put his phone number and snapchat handle! We don't need your creeper vibes!

Interesting place! Didn't race, only ate dinner at then bar. Started with the clam chowder, which was very tasty. My entree was the turkey burger. The added guacamole wasn't that great, but still a good burger. Great service.

Quite fun but the steering is stiff (no power steering on karts!). The engines are gasoline powered so the exhaust smell is bad despite the ventilation. It would be better if the karts were electric like some tracks have.

No. Just hell no! Called about birthday parties. Spent about a half hour on the phone.
Details I came away with:
up to 8 people ("racers")
use of party room for entire 2 hours
times available on date I needed - 12-2p, 2:30-4:30pm, 5-7pm.
party supplies provided - red tablecloth(s), racing/checkered flag theme plates, etc, pizza, drinks
can bring cake& cake supplies, and any snack items or other drinks (i.e., water)

YAY! 13 year olds party plan a success so far!!
Got off of the phone to check schedules and figure out which time-slot would work best. Called back later in the day, two different times, to confirm the time, no answer (figured no big deal, call tomorrow).
Next day, they beat me to the punch, called ME back! About to confirm time BUT I am instead told - "...need to be 18 to drive karts...we don't do children's birthday parties...I don't know who told you that!!!!!"

Desk staff was pretty rude and unhelpful. Told us to go register for the next race as there were spots open, came back 3 minutes later and told us everything was sold out although no one had come in. Refused to make change for the vending machine and the water fountain was broken. They seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves than looking at a customer. Karts were fun fumes were bad. Wouldn t go back based on the desk customer service

Great great track comparing to anything in the area but also a challenge such a fun day with a good bar. The only thing was the day we went was busy and felt like we were putting on sweaty safety gear as people were taking it off...because we were

The racing is very fun but the cars are not well maintained. They sent someone in my group out in a cart with no breaks and based on the race outcomes it was clear that one of the carts was in significantly better shape than the others.

Great place to go, my girlfriend took me and it was my first experience. The seats were a bit small but I am 6'3 so it made sense. There were some issues with the first cart I received but they immediately gave me another. I personally may not go back but it was a great experience nonetheless.

Prices are extremely reasonable compared to other kart racing establishments I have visited. After reviewing a short instructional video you are able to suit up and race away! Due to there being a lack of customers only one track was open, but the track was still lots of fun! The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful. Definitely worth the money!

Had really high expectation of this place but the visit was just okay. The front staff girls were not that helpful with the registration process. Make sure to bring your deodorant with you because the race suits smell like body odor. The driving experience was more than positive. I would not recommend this place.

Went here for a company party and they really outdo themselves with a new spin on your classic gokarts. These things are legitimately fast and the race track is constantly filled with the noise of screeching tires and the hum of engines propelling you at 45 mph. Function rooms are available boasting a classic pool hall vibe, although the tables looked worn and the cues bent, but most are not going here to play pool.

Wicked fun indoor go kart place right off i95. If you re looking for a fun time then look no further. This upscale carting location has 2 tracks, a bar, billiards room, and serves food. Although it is expensive ($10 for day license and $30 for 15-18 laps after that) it is a blast and the karts do go pretty quickly. This a great location for corporate/work parties and they do offer the ability to rent out the track for such events. The staff here are all young but they are nice and for the most part professional. I highly recommended this place and I will certainly be back soon!

I've been to X1 twice, now. Each visit was awesome -- the track, vehicles, staff, and in-house bar are all very group-friendly. Wouldn't recommend going solo -- but you shouldn't consider anything else for corporate outings, birthday parties, and racing-themed weddings.

This place in fun, but the problems are exhaust fumes is terrible. I don't know how people working inside the track area survives, because of the exhaust fumes. Karts are old and each kart is not consistent in speed. You have to wear a racing suit, only thing is how much do they clean them, because I was sweating in it and I assume that others wearing will too and most of them are ripped in certain area. Also when it comes to the helmets, do they clean of sanitize them, nobody knows. I brought my own helmet and didn't use theirs. Plus racing here isn't cheap. I think it's expensive, not like K1 in Wilmington and Kingston, MA. Which is cheaper to race and you don't have to wear a racing suit. Plus the karts are electric. No fumes

The staff are very rude. Everyone from the receptionists to the Referries. Make sure you don't look like you have money because then they'll make sure to identify your name and have you start from the very back of the pack everytime you go; But if you are a blue collar guy from Quincy, then you are OK!
