Really cool to see where so many scientific discoveries are made, as well as some pop culture references. This is where the pulsar reading was made that's the cover of the Joy Division album Unknown Pleasures.

One thing to note is that parking is at the bottom of A VERY steep hill and you have to walk (though I'm sure they can arrange transport for people with disabilities). Pretty much everyone is exhausted and out of breath by the time they've reached the top.

The VIP tour is pretty neat but they don't bring you any closer to the actual bowl if that's what you're hoping to do. You do, however, get to see where all the research is done and their fascinating system that's a mix of computers ranging from new to the 60s!

World's largest* radio observatory. Great tour and presentation. This may not be for everyone but it is awe-inspiring. If you are driving, the car ride might encounter lots of blind turns and plenty of bumps. drive safe. Also, i think you can drop people off at the top and park at the bottom. It is a good hike from parking to the observatory.

I was with friends and family and was a special event in the evening with 2 diferent presentations 2 diferent topics. After that the astronomic society make a lot of diferent experiment/orientation tha was incredible and we have the chance to use diferent telescopes to watch a asteroid and also a nebula of orion. Beutiful gathering of people interesting topics it is a really nice visitor center. Great experience.!!

Its a little (a lot!) off the beaten path, but totally worth a stop. My wife and I had to drive one way up a mountainous dirt road where parts of the road was missing. I am sure we went the wrong way to get there! A good place for children and adults alike. There are many activities to do and if you go on the right day there might be astrologers there with their telescopes to point out stars, planets, and even the sun. Its a very cool place!

Amazing visit. The staff was super friendly, the exhibits were very interactive. Took the VIP tour and enjoyed a personal tour of the control room and a different perspective on the dish. The drive was totally worth the experience.

Not worth the admission price. $12 for each adult all you get to see is a half ass boring posters of planets and a 17 minute long documentary of how the satellite was built etc. NOT worth the money and NO water foundation after climbing up the hot road up to the place.

It's ok, the history was nice, but the tour was just so so. I think the biggest thing about seeing it was knowing a movie had been based off the facility and seeing it in person. If I was a kid I dont think I would get that excited about it except for maybe the history movie and the gift shop, but that's just my opinion.

It is an awesome place. To get to the site you have to be patient as you are entering the interior of the northern Arecibo karst. Upon arrival you need to climb several steps over 100 and walk a distance of about 15 minutes until you reach the top where the museum is. Ticket offices are $ 12. Adults. I recommend watching the 17 minute movie to understand the importance of this super important structure.

Amazing structure that you unfortunately don't get to experience as much as you may think, and you have to wait around in a pretty small and boring museum to be able to see the actual structure.

The only interesting thing is the giant dish itself. This is the only reason why people come here.

The documentary was just ok. Small museum area. Really feel like they just added these parts so they can charge more $$$.

A little pricey to visit with family of five, but it's a very fun place to see. Where else can you see the second largest radio telescope in the world? Get ready for some extra windy roads followed by a steep uphill walk, but it's worth the visit.

Pretty spectacular view of the satellite. The VIP tour for an additional $15 didn't offer much except for the chance to see the control room. The view of the satellite dish was better at the observation center.

Awesome place to visit. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the exhibit is cool and interactive for anyone of any age. It s a bit of a hike up a hill from the parking lot if you need to know but well worth it.

Family enjoyed it. Enroute one can still we the damage from the Hurricane. My wife and son enjoyed it, their first trip to Puerto Rico. Wife found it educational. Been there before, over a decade ago with my daughter, she enjoyed it as well, back then.

Cool!
