5th time trying to take my dog for his operation. 5th time of us wasting our time waiting for their assistance, to be told it will be an additional 20-30 minutues in my car for them to check in the other appointments first. It would be nice if they would get themselves organized before wasting peoples time. Don't ask for the customer to be there at a certain time then tell them oh well you should have been told how this works. I do not work there I do not know how things go.

I adopted my Lexis about 2 1/2 years ago from Animal Foundation.I am so, so glad they rescued my Lexis. They kept her safe and healthy until adoption. I just wish I could adopt more dogs. At the MO entry I gave two rescue dogs. Please pkease, don't purchase a dog or cat. Rescue them. There are plentry of dogs and cats waiting for a forever home. Please.help them and you will never regret it. They will be your unconditional friend forever.

Very kind and understanding staff when I've had to euthanize elderly pets.

I needed a hospital for my dog Faith she was really sick and old they said that they didnt have a hospital that it was just shots later that day she died rather her die with me instead alone at this place. The reason I put 3 stars was because she was 18 years old yeah it doesn't make it any better but it gives me a sense of peace to know I did everything I could.

Very pleasant and professional, I was surprised and pleased with how they helped me with a rescue and adoption.

Don t waste your time trying to call them. I m not really sure what the purpose of them having a phone number is because God forbid somebody actually answers it. I ve been calling since 11 am to ask a simple question, nobody answered the phone until 530 pm.

They should really update their website to advise they are not accepting walkins. They should also update that they will only let you meet 1 animal that you have to know which one in advance.

They have really done some great things at this place! They now have buckets of treats to give to the dogs to encourage good behavior & trust. The staff is all very helpful & friendly and they really keep it clean.

I was there this pass Sunday & da gentleman at da front desk was very rude , i wouldn't tell no one about this place cause r sadly a freak n Joke , so if u want 2 like me & wife did went 2 another animal shelter , cause this one is not cutting it & they told me & my wife from them 2 animal control a lot of lies , my thing is why REALLY OVER A FREAK N DOG , YEAH - YEAH RIGHT , I'M telling whoever read this 2 bypass tht place & go 2 ANOTHER ONE U WOULD GET BETTER WITH THEM & THEY WOULDN'T TREAT U VERY FREAK N RULE , THEY WILL TREAT U WITH SOME GREAT RESPECT LIKE THEY SUPPOSED 2 WITH GREAT PEOPLE SKILLS , WHICH THIS PLACE DOES HAVE AT ALL

unbelievable how much work it takes to keep up this place,, thanks to the staff

I saw 10...10 either Employees and or Volunteers hanging around. By all of those bodies you would assume the place is running like a well oiled machine, AND THEN... YOU WALK INTO THE TENTS!!! I was in tears within 15 seconds. Cages were filthy, dogs were sickly and howling, shaking, crying. I am fully aware and understanding of the fact these were all animals that are lost but man, it was ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING! WHERE were the staff members that should be spending time with the animals? Once AGAIN... I SAW A MINIMUM OF 10 EMPLOYEES... DOING JACK NOTHING! It's been 5 days now and it STILL is bringing me to tears thinking about it. I know, IT'S A SHELTER... WHAT DO I EXPECT?! But... it was BAD, JUST AWFUL!

I adopted a Dachshund Mix from AF after someone from NextDoor posted that he was on the "transfer list". He looked like a sweet dog, but I was unable to visit with him as I was told he had ringworm. After I signed his paperwork and agreed to take responsibility for a dog from the transfer list, he was neutered and I brought him home the next day. Overall, the process was smooth, I did have to send a few emails back and forth and a lot of waiting, but it was well worth it. I got a great dog who is already doggy door trained and well mannered. The best part of adopting from the AF is getting the 30 day free pet insurance and you get a free vet check-up at any of the VCA vet clinics and a 14-day follow-up after that if necessary. The adoption process was simple. I couldn't be happier.

Found Molly here, a truly great companion! While I don t know much about her history, I have discovered she is house trained and loves a good lap. I first saw her on the lost and found website and arrived an hour before they opened on the first day she could be adopted. The adoption was an easy process, but they had to spay her, so I couldn t take her home until the next day. Smaller dogs do go fast, so get there early in the day, and watch their website for dogs that may become adoptable after their waiting period in lost and found. No issues with her spay surgery; everything healed up great and she s more energetic than ever!

They have animals for adoption and a clinic. My daughter has adopted 2 kittens from here and had awesome experience with 2 great kitty's. Place is always clean and organized. If your looking to adopt a pet go here first

My first experience and it was AWESOME!!! So many people wanting to help those four legged babies!!

My Story... after showing up daily in search of my dog I found her! I took her ticket to staff who chewed me a new one for taking it. Before i could spit out that this was my dog and would be back to claim her the following day. It being payday. I also called left a voicemail claiming my dog and emailed doing it once again. I was there at opening. Told to wait. As i'm waiting I see my dog walking out on someone else's leash! I went off! Then, the staff would not allow me to reimburse the person and just take my baby home! Oh no! They wanted their money. If it weren't for the kindness of strangers I'd not have gotten my baby that day. The saddest experience. The staff in lost found and surrendered pets are rather jaded and unsympathetic even to owners such as myself who were heartbroken to discover someone had let their baby escape. I understand that this job requires a special kind of person. Someone who has a true love of animals, that can detach emotionally, with an enormous amount of self control. The found/ surrendered animal section of the facility leaves much to be desired. The cages are far too small for even toy breeds.I can hardly bring myself to go. To sit waiting to be escorted thru the found dogs, i watch people trickle in to surrender pets. It's heartbreaking. My eyes well up with tears, my stomach tied in knots, as I grow sp angry I can hardly contain myself. These poor fur babies given up because stupid people think that puppies come trained, that a mastiff is meant to fit in a studio apartment, or they move where pets aren't allowed. I pet "ownership" in a completely different way. It's a lifetime commitment like child adoption. If a child were to ruin your sofa, and they do, you don't get rid of the child. Just as you don't live in a studio apartment with kids either. Shame on people who turn over guinea pigs. Who the heck says oh gee a Guinea pig is too much to handle?
The ADOPTION SECTION of the facility is much more accommodating and the staff very friendly. However, for the daily visit I made for 14 days there was not a single person that could answer my questions.

It was a great feeling when I found my lost cat Panther there..we looked for he for two days..then I decided to go and look in person...he was injured but they took very good care of him and the facility where clean and organized too...thanks CCAC...

I just adopted my dog last week, and he has kennel cough. You people need to CLEAN and properly DISINFECT your kennels and runs. I work in the veterinary field, and this happen bc of pure laziness and negligence.

The wait times are ridiculous they need to train better have better caring attitudes and be more supportive. And the worst is the free give away weekends. Those poor free dogs are used for bait they are kept up chained no shelter no food no water beaten mistreated and even raped. They are the most vile and disgusting shelter in Las Vegas and we have no other options

It's a small facility and the people are very knowledgeable of the pets there. I wish I could take all the aminols home!!! They can always use blankets and towels and FOOD!!!

I had to put 17 year old cat down and they were so compassionate and gentle and I got the paw prints done they were very sweet.

Horrible experience! I see why people don't adopt from the shelter. Got to the very end of the adoption process to hear, "Oops, sorry. We adopted that dog to someone else just a short time ago." Four hours I waited in LONG lines to be told this! Can you imagine if my kids were with me? Bad enough I was heartbroken, but them?! I spent almost an hour looking at other dogs. They supposedly didn't have anymore that fit what I wanted, and yet, not a few hours later, they were popping up on the website. RIDICULOUS! I'm all for adopting, but not here.

The animal foundation is a wonderful place!! I definitely recommend this place. both the dogs and cats are place in well ventilated, cool kennels. You are able to interact with the animals, give them treats, and play with them. for anyone looking for a new dog or cat, come here. the staff is so kind to everyone. the adoption fee is ridiculously low!! yes, the majority of dogs for adoption there are pit bulls or pit bull mixes, but once you get to know, feed, and play with them, they are the sweetest thing ever! I recently adopted a dog from there and we are going to go pick her up from the clinic they have next door. the counclers there bring you through every step of the adoption and introduces you to free first time animal clinics, coupons to help you start off with your new pet, and so much more. the adoption fee there is usually 50 dollars, and that includes the spay/neuter, vaccines, and microchips. all for 50 dollars!! I 200% recommend this place for new owners!!

Mostly pit and pit mixes for the dogs. Pretty depressing place.

The only thing I can say it's a blessing to have The Animal Foundation the help so many Animals thank you!

Animals looked unhappy and abused. Workers were very unfriendly and druid not want to help me any my girlfriend.

I don't know about this place really. Not very transparent. This was the first and only time I'll be going to this place. I took my cat in for his vaccinations. I found it a bit odd that you pay for the vaccines prior to your pet actually being seen and then a bit odd that you, as the owner, are not allowed to be in the room when the vaccines are administered. I was thinking about just getting my money back, but there is a disclaimer on the receipt that states that there are no refunds once the services are paid. So a good old fashioned Catch 22. I'm new to the area so maybe this is the norm, but other affordable vaccine clinics that I've been to in other areas was the opposite of this. You pay for the services after you go in and talk with the vet while they are giving the vaccines and a quick examination (weight, teeth and coat) to your pet. I asked the assistant why I wasn't allowed to be present and she said it's because they are not a full service clinic. What? I found it funny that the assistant then waived me to the exam room and informed me that my cat was overweight. I asked how much he weighed, to compare what he weighed last year, and they hadn't even weighed him. They then asked would I like them to weigh him, I said sure. They then went to get him out of the carrier and stated that he was stressed. Well of course he is Sherlock, he has two strangers doing whatever to him and I'm out of his sight. Beware!

We had to put our 15 year old dog down last Friday. After calling and making an appointment when we arrived we were told they were running behind and they would call us when they were ready. After waiting with our dog in the car, we finally went back to the locked door to ask if it was going to be much longer. A very impersonal staff member said, you missed your appointment . We explained what we had been told and after she fussed at someone else we were told to bring our dog in. The front desk ladies Were not compassionate or friendly. This was a very difficult time and you would think the staff would be have some compassion. Such a bad experience at such a difficult time.

I was waiting for two hours I was treated almost no people are very rough at the end I left very angry lousy service is my second time I have bad experience with animal foundation I hope not to occupy them but neither continue to donate

Excellent organization! Thanks for helping me find my forever buddy "Freedom". Her new name is Rainbow the Savage McCarroll and she is very loved by our family and her doggie cousins.

I love it how you can find homes for dogs I have a six month old male and my landlord Wendy here at village square apartment 152 please help me keep him but I need a man who wants him he talk when we play ball he is indoor dog he the only one who live I lost his mom and three baby one stuck lost lots of blood

The animals seemed well taken care of but I left the place in tears after my visit. I asked one of the workers if I was allowed to interact with a particular cat and we are allowed. When I asked up front I was treated rudely and denied because they didn't believe I was REALLY going to adopt the cat because of a comment I made earlier. I loved the cat so much I decided to include her into my family no matter what and yet they denied me to even play with her and yelled at me rudely in front of everyone simply for asking to play with the cat. They humiliated me and basically called me a liar when I assured them that where I live animals are indeed allowed but for now I just wanted to interact with the cat since my visit was not with the intention of adopting. I hadn't brought paperwork or anything, but was willing to come back with it. Point is they were extremely rude and degrading and judgmental. I don't see why they couldn't have let me play with the cat as the cat could have only benefitted from human interaction and a possible future family. But they denied her (the cat) that by denying me.

the people were very friendly in the cat dept. The area was clean & when brought to attention that 1 kitten's eye was watering, volunteer sent out a note & marked the cage. that was nice

If you do a Google search, and then click on the link that says "website" it doesn't show you a very important policy that you really need to know about. It is there if you drill in a bit but if you don't know to look for it you won't see it. After trying to call several times to get information about giving a pet up for adoption, and getting no answer, I drove 45 minutes to their establishment. I was asked my reason for wanting to give up my pet, and then was told that I needed to call and leave a detailed voicemail stating my reason, and that an adoption counselor would get back to me if they deemed it appropriate to schedule an appointment. If I somehow was lucky enough to get an appointment outside my work hours, a counselor would determine if they thought I had a justifiable reason in their eyes to give him up, and if so, I would be placed on a waiting list. But after reading the paperwork they gave me that explains this policy, it's a new model that many of the shelters in America have implemented designed to keep families and pets together, meaning forcing people to either keep their pets or find them a new home on their own. Honestly, it seems easier to abort a human pregnancy than give up a pet that you can't take proper care of. I would have had more respect for them if they had just said they were full and couldn't take my pet, instead of acting like they are doing a service on behalf of humanity and animals everywhere by refusing most pets. I'm sure they know what's best for all and therefore should make decisions accordingly. A lot of the shelters do this now. You don't get to decide what's best for your family, they do. So if you need to give up a pet, best take your chances and do it on your own. They are not interested in helping. This is totally their right, since it is their bogus non profit. They should just be honest about it.

The new building is beautiful, but they are still working on it. It almost 100% no kill. The staff works very hard for these animals. There is a foster program for kittens and now you can do foster field trips and help give these guys some respite from the shelter. Easy application program.
