Rent's cheap. That's about the only redeeming quality.

Walls are thin, neighbors were loud. The light rail outside can be loud too. It's furnished but the furniture is really uncomfortable. Our sink flooded several times; maintenance was merely okay about it. The heat register could be noisy sometimes.

Oh, and repeated emails to management (Nicole) went unanswered. Extremely unprofessional. Stay away.

Dinnaken is great. Very affordable rent, reliable and honest business practices, and all the necessities in a clean and safe environment. I had a very pared down apartment (cinder block walls, super simple kitchen, no in unit laundry, 3 roommates) for my last 2 years of school. It was great at $450 per month. Management was always responsive and upfront (Dinnaken is owned by the U of M Foundation, they re legit). There is a bit of noise outside if you re on the ground floor but being so close to campus is worth it. Plus CVS, coffee shops, green line station and major bus stops are within a block. You can t really get a better deal if you re a U of M student with a small budget.

Simply the best student living. The management understand the complexities of student life and are very accommodating. The common areas are always kept clean and maintenance requests are handled promptly. Unlike some other properties on campus, there are no hidden or unfair fees and the management is very upfront with payments and fees. For example, I forgot to provide an address for my security deposit return, but they were organized enough after a quick email to mail it to me in 1 business day. At other areas I lived at, I had to fight for my security deposit back. Love the Dinnaken and highly recommend! The only reason I no longer live here is that I graduated, but I would reccomend for any student!

Living at Dinnaken was fine. It was a good price and a good location. I was disappointed with my apartments experience with maintenance over the two years I lived there. Some things were taken care of very quickly but other things I felt like I had to keep checking in on. Last year we had a leak in our ceiling that wasn't fully resolved for 3 months. All amenities are included except for electricity and laundry is free, which is nice.

Lived at Dinnaken for 2 years & really enjoyed it. It's an affordable place and the living room has plenty of space for guests. Walls are thick so it's never too loud. Great location for living in stadium village & super convenient for riding the train. Most of the staff members are really helpful & friendly, maintenence is done quickly if you follow up with them. Really good deal for what you get.

I have really enjoyed living at Dinnaken House. The apartments have sufficient space, they are surprisingly sound-proof, and maintenance requests are handled very quickly. Although it doesn't offer a plethora of amenities like some of the other apartments near the University of Minnesota campus, it is quite affordable while still offering everything I wanted in an apartment. In addition, it is starting to look more modern with recent renovations.

Wonderful place to live. I lived in Dinnaken for two years, and was very happy with my stay. The apartments were soundproof, had large windows, were clean, maintenance was fast, and the location was great. I prefer a more quiet environment, but I enjoyed having the football stadium, restaurants, and park so close by. I would highly recommend living here.
