Savvas Hotel Review

Drank one drink from the bar in the hotel ending up being sick all night and spending 6 hours in hospital with an iv drip.

I begin by saying that with abominable I would be kind. Pitiful structure, non-existent hygiene, useless and not at all friendly staff. Ours seemed more like a cell than a room. The fridge I suppose had no use for which it was created but had to be used as oven because it was hot. To use the air conditioner we had to pay a fee. I have never had a worse experience. I hope it will be closed because it is a health hazard from how harmful everything in there is. Never again.

Despite the reviews I read on Google, the room was clean and cleaned every day. Only the pool water was green. In general, having experience after staying there, I would choose it again

Terrible hotel room dirty to say the least drunk guys who do not allow you to sleep, you lose all hope you come in ... we ran away!

I went mental and bought a duck and the guy let me keep it, excellentce!

Avoid at all costs. The owner of the luxury suite (with Jacuzzi) is scamming the government with tax avoidance and conning guests with extra money upfront!

A hotel to say the least fantastic! Beware of bad reviews ... The pool is always well taken care of and the rooms are very nice. For paying very little this hotel turned out to be a bargain, especially as we were a stone's throw from the clubs. Unique experience

I take hotel without booking. After I checked in I want to switch AC but cant see remote control. I went to reception asked where is remote. Thai said after I pay 10Eur extra for one night can have it. It been first time in my life to hear something like that. OK new experience. Hotels starting be like low budget airlines. Give you good price but then extra extra extra. Afterwords is better to find better hotel then. Next time no this hotel. Also WiFi is not free you have to pay extra and I am suspicious about some equipment for make bad signal in hotel to force you buy WiFi because around all hotel been bad mobile signal. No towel changed next day too. Good luck with stay.

I do not recommend, the rooms dirty, toilet massacre fear to touch anything, in addition, not too quiet place was enough one night to someone damaged the rented quad, in addition, everything must be paid, and the list in the room for damage and for all high penalties. Once again, I do not recommend a hotel but a lot of nerves and completely spoil humor on vacation.

DO NOT ENTER THE POOL IT IS THAT DIRTY YOU CANNOT SEE THE BOTTOM, I TOOK ONE LOOK AT IT AND NEVER WENT IN THE WHOLE WEEK I WAS THERE.

THE SECURITY ARE VERY AGGRESSIVE TO YOU WITHOUT HAVING ANY ENCOUNTERS WITH YOU BEFORE, THEY SIT IN A GANG AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ROAD TO THE HOTEL AND WILL TRY TO INTIMIDATE YOU WHEN YOU ARE WALKING PAST. THERE WAS ABOUT 5 OF THEM MOST NIGHTS AND ONLY 2 WOULD BE WEARING A SECURITY POLO SHaqvIRT AND THE REST LOOKING LIKE THEIR THUG PALS. THEY ZOOM ABOUT ON MOPEDS AT NIGHT IN THE PITCH BLACK WITHOUT LIGHTS ON UP AND DOWN THE ROAD TO THE HOTEL, THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES YOU AWARE OF THEM IS THE NOISE AND WHEN THEY TURN THERE LIGHTS ON 8 FEET IN FRONT OF YOU TELLING YOU TO MOVE OUT THE WAY.

YOU WILL BE OFFERED A 100 DEAL OFF THE REP ANDY FOR A WEEK OF FREE DRINK AT THE HOTELS OWN BAR, THIS IS A GOOD DEAL IF YOU ENJOY DRINKING A LOT EVERY NIGHT BUT BE WARNED THAT THEY REUSE AND WASH THE PLASTIC CUPS AND HAVE BEEN DOING SO FOR WHO KNOWS HOW MANY SEASONS. WE WERE TOLD THIS WAS TRUE AFTER WE SEEN THE BARTENDER PICK UP A PLASTIC CUP FROM THE STACK AND SOAPY WATER FELL OUT WHEN WE ASKED ABOUT IT WERE TOLD THIS WAS TRUE. WE WERE TOLD THAT THERE WAS A SPREAD OF ILLNESS THROUGH THE REPS EARLIER IN THE SEASON AND IT WAS BLAMED ON THE CUPS AND POOL YET THEY HAVENT CHANGED ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WE WERE ALSO TOLD THAT ONE OF THE CUPS WE WERE GIVIN WAS ONE OF THE OLDEST THEY HAD BECAUSE IT WAS A DIFFERENT DESIGN TO THE "NEWER" ONES.

APART FROM THAT THE RECEPTIONISTS AND THE OWNER SEEMED VERY NICE SEEN AS EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING THE DIRTY WORK BUT I CANT COMPLAIN ABOUT THEM. THERE IS A GOOD SUPERMARKET ACROSS THE ROAD WHICH SELLS CHEAP ALCOHOL SO I WOULD SUGGEST JUST STICKING TO THAT.

THE ROOMS ARENT THE WORST APART FROM HORRIBLE STAINED SHEETS AND PILLOWCASES, EVERY PILLOW CASE THAT WAS CHANGED HAD STAINS FROM A UV PAINT PARTY THAT PEOPLE HAD BEEN TO PREVIOUSLY. I KNOW THIS WASNT FROM US BECAUSE WE DID NOT ATTEND A UV PAINT PARTY WHILE WE WERE THERE SO THAT WAS PRETTY FILTHY.

ITS A CHEAP HOTEL AND I WOULDNT SAY ITS WORTH THE MONEY I WOULD PAY THAT LITTLE BIT EXTRA FOR THE HYGIENE STANDARDS AND BETTER SECURITY THAT ACTUALLY MAKE YOU FEEL SAFE AND YOU DONT FEAR.

Has been waiting for 4 hours to check in because rude staff keep passing the bucket to others. Photos online are fake, the reality is messy and dirty with someone's underwear and socks.

This summer will be my fifth time that I stay in Savvas Hotel. I would definitely recommend it as a great choice to stay and enjoy your summer holidays. Nice rooms, friendly staff, unbeatable prices...

The WORST PLACE EVER!! They encouraged the sale of laughing gas to underage customers who engaged in horrific behavior all night. The bed sheets were FILTHY! BLODD AND URINE REMAINED DREID ON THE SURFACES. tHE WORST PART WAS THE MANAGER WHO ACTED LIKE HE COULDNT SPEAK ENGLISH AND THEN CLAIMED HIS "CREDIT CARD MACHINE NO LONGER WORKED" !!!SCAM!!! BE CAREFUL!!

Some of the staff were OK (bar staff). The fat lady at the front desk forced me into a payment and refused to give me back my passport unless a payment was made. Me and some other friends all ended up getting bacterial infections from the swimming pool as well. Wouldn t reccomend unless you know how to handle the fat lady who sits on her backside all day ripping people off who are checking out. Fat old b****

this hotel is one big disaster, despite the pool, we didn't use it even once, despite the promise to be quite good, it was loud, the music played until 23 sometimes until 00:00, and that it was not enough young English people coming back from parties at 4 in the morning it launched its Boomboxes and until morning, dirty, even a condom can be found in the main courtyard. I don't recommend it unless you want to party.

Place was clean but filled with a bunch of drunken teenagers. Music blasted ALL night The air conditioner keep shutting off. The shower was a stand up coffen and falling apart. The pool was gross from all the teens. There was a live animal farm right next door dogs barked all night long. Rosters woke us up right as the teens stoped their madness.

Bad hotel.
Dirty rooms, dirty sheets, all dirty, horrible beds, bathroom completely flooded, not clean, without even a shower curtain, nothing, not even a bar of soap. Old wooden doors that there was a beastly mess in the hallway. Unlivable room for two people. Rude staff, loud music all day and night. To avoid!

Neither will the system even my enemy. Noise, voices, dirty. A world of constant starvation to kick doors for hours at dawn.

We booked this hotel as from the booking it looked beautiful, clean, with a pool ... and we gave an advance payment without first checking the ratings ...
I thought it would not be as tragic as what I read just before we left ...
(when we arrived they asked us for the rest of the money of our stay, which we gave)
but in the end it is ....
sheets dirty, floor dirty, in the bathroom there were hairs everywhere, the sink counter dirty ...
Tip: if you want to stay in this hotel get yourself a bleach, your own towels and sheets

Some rooms are a lot better than others. For the price and age group it is aimed at its is ok. If you are a family and dont want music going on till the early hours this isn't the place for you.

Does anyone ever come back ? This is the worst place I have ever stayed. Supposed to have clean towels etc every two days, after 4 days and had to complain. The whole place was a noisey hell hole. De mar swim up pool was so dirty you could not see the stools. Do not ever use this pool. The pool in the savvas hotel was very clean and much better. The selling of the illegal nitro oxide gas in a balloon calling it laughing gas, is no laughing matter. It will take the death of a youngster before this practice is stopped. The noise all thorough the night at the de mar apartments was totally horrendous and most of it caused by the 24 hr reception full of drunk men shouting and laughing all night with the staff. The music at de mar is awful full blast from 9am till midnight no one not even the youngsters liked the rap type grunge that was played and no chance of a relaxing sit by the pool anytime of the day or evening so the place was mostly deserted. The pool at savvas whilst playing nicer music it was still full blast all day! So no one stayed long. And the water slide was very rarely on, you be lucky if it was on 30 mins a day and that's would be after a lot of complaints. The staff used the lie we are waiting for the Electrian ha ha. Please avoid this shite place a real hell hole. The one star I gave it was for the savvas pool which was clean and well filtered. Every day.

8 of us stayed there for week on 24th Sept 2018. 2 rooms of 4. Couldn't fault it really, perfect for us. Sheets were changed most days and room cleaned. Big thanks to Dena, Abbie, Andy and off course little Joanna. For making our stay a very enjoyable one. We had some good nights in the bar with Abbie mainly. WE WILL BE BACK!!

READ !!! Don't deserve one star. They make you pay for everything, they gave as a damaged safe (she said it was brand new even though it looked 100 years old) and when we tried to close it the key got stuck inside and they made us pay 50 . The quad bike we have rented got damaged overnight even though they have a "security guard". The women at the reception was really unfriendly and blamed us for everything. The shower holder was broken and the rooms weren't really cleaned - all they did is fold the bedsheets. The toilet flush was broken and they couldn't fix it properly for the first 2/4 days. There is a lot of young people which was us was very appealing as we're young ourselves but the noise wouldn't stop until 5/6am and hotel didn't really take action. Overall bad experience, it had ruined our holiday.

I was moved on the 18th in the evening, following the storm from the Atlantis hotel to this hotel. I was given a room where no cleaning had been done. I took a person from the front desk to show him it was mess, he took two papers from the floor and said it was "ok". There were pets under the beds, bags of chips, hidden dirt, in the bathroom the toilet with traces of feces on the walls, the faucet faucet with dry traces of soap, etc., cruel dirt, not to mention disinfection. After 2 hours, I managed, more or less, to convince them to give me another room. It was late, we went to bed. In the morning we woke up with ants on us, in bed, and on the floor there were a lot of M I ZE R A B I LI, you come in high school to feel good, you do a covid test, and they make fun of you

Not as bad as the reviews make out at all! I went with four of my friends and we had the best time here. Staff are so friendly and funny especially the rep, it s a good hotel if you are looking to go on a party holiday made so many new friends with everyone else in the hotel. Pool is nice, they make good drinks at the bar there. Can t fault it at all and also only a 5 min walk to the strip.

Air conditioning for a fee, a poorly stocked and unusable kitchenette, a tiny and poorly functioning refrigerator.

I booked to stay in Savvas luxury suites owned by the hotel and managed by Dena through Air BnB. During our stay the apartment was clean, we had a nice large balcony with jacuzzi and air con worked well. The place is located in the heart of Laganas, which can get quite busy but was quieter this year due to Covid.

Unfortunately however we were disappointed with our experience. Upon arrival we were asked to pay a 200 euro cash deposit (despite this being against air Bnb policy) and the host repeatedly refused to take card or payment through the air Bnb website in order to avoid paying tax. This meant we had to give away a large chunk of our cash that we had exchanged especially for the stay. We therefore had to withdraw cash and pay bank fees as well as suffering from the poor exchange rate. The host advertises daily cleaning but did not inform us on arrival that we had to request this 24-hours in advance due to Covid, so we had no cleaner on the first day. When we raised this as an issue we were told that we had been informed and that we must not have heard - Dena will never accept that she might be wrong or that there was an error on her part! In fact, she criticised us for complaining about that and the deposit and said that she would leave a negative review because we made complaints. According to Dena it s my house my rules and if you dare to ask her a question about the service or express any dissatisfaction you are bad guests! Do not expect good customer service and for Dena to let you explain your point of view, she will constantly speak over and interrupt anyone who complains.

The apartment is nicely decorated and clean but much smaller than shown in the pictures. Beware of the sewage smell inside and out. Also be careful of the rep who arrives with Dena when she lets you in the flat and tries to push you into buying wrist bands for the local bars that are owned by Dena/ Savaas Hotel. We didn t even get a chance to put our bags down or go to the loo on arrival! Finally, make sure you take pics of the place before and after the cleaner comes to check things before they return your security deposit - they will try to find faults (e.g. claiming wear and tear on the hammock is a rip ).

Overall, I would suggest that you stay clear of this place. I m sure there s equally lovely properties (if not nicer) that offer a much better service!

Stayed for a lads weekend, rooms what you need and the pools are great

The hotel staff are lovely and very helpful, but the cleanliness of the place (especially the bedrooms) wouldn't even rate 1 star.
The place is full of 16 to 20 yr olds screaming and shouting their heads of and banging on the metal bedroom doors until 4am.
You will be offered a white rust band both around 70 on arrival. This is supposed to cover cocktails, shorts, beer and breakfast for 3hrs ( 70 was for a 4 day stop). Don't bother.
The cocktails and shorts are like sweet water, the beer is the cheapest you could find and the breakfast only cover 2 eggs and a piece of bacon. You can upgrade to a decent breakfast If You pay for it (so the rist band is useless), but can be used in 3 venues (All the same alchaol).

Don t waste your money

Bad place to stay if you are with family, or you want to relax on your holidays. Noisy from the tourists all hours even at night.
The hotel wasn't so clean and overall the management is not good at all.
If you book room at this hotel tell them to book a room away from the pool and the balcony not to face the pool.
Moreover ask for a room at 3rd floor, for sure not in groundfloor
Again if you want to relax and have nice holidays stay away from Laganas.

Myself and around 10 other girls stayed here in July 2018. I have never experienced anything so disgusting in my whole life.

The place was unhygienic (no fresh towels, no hand soap etc. I actually (and my friend) ended up in hospital for a night on a drip because it was so disgusting- I literally thought I was going to die I felt that bad. their alcoholic drinks gave me a bowel infection. They did nothing when I told them I went into hospital because of them, just completely ignored it. I ended up getting a flight home early.

Hotel owners were awesome, friendly, easy to talk to, and helpful! They even let us dj the pools were clean, the slide was brill!(use a doughnut to go down it ) the chef was brilliant best food we had in zante !! So even if you dont stay in the hotel go there for food! Hotel room was clean. nothing was stolen (hear some bad reviews about belongings been stolen) this doesnt happen. It was that good weve booked to go back again & stay in the same hotel this year . Great location for everything . Use suncream!! We all burnt best holiday ever! Recremend this hotel!

One star only because the building is present. Cleaning not received for seven days, only positive note: a roll of toilet paper appeared every two days. Camp-level kitchen, with a pre-war stove. Bed broken in half (please report it otherwise you have to pay for it). Irritating music that always keeps company, the pool makes chlamydia come just by looking at it, it has now become an ecosystem in its own right.
Harassing people anytime, anywhere, anytime. In summary, if you want to have a unique adventure in the world go there.

Friendly fun place even though we over 50 the kids as we call them good as gold never any trouble from them and the staff just lovley

My room is clean and tidy so no problems there. It can be noisy in the early hours as people stagger back from clubbing.

Nice hotel I'd defo recommend it but the 100 euro wristbands are a waste of time I'd not bother with them the bar staff ignore you when you want served and you can't taste any alcohol in the drinks other than that the rest of the staff are super friendly and the hotel is clean and has security st night

Very friendly and welcoming nothing is to much trouble,apartments are basic but that's ok as your provided with a kettle, the apartment is clean and tidy, the food is ok,they look out for their customers

We stayed a week at the savvas hotel and I must say that the structure from the outside looks good too. Inside it looks like the home of horrors: indecent and dirty bathrooms, tiny and not clean rooms. Upon our arrival we found sheets stained with blood and black towels, although the Avbiano changed, the results were not as expected. The pool does not talk about it: sporvhissimabche water did not even show the bottom, made of hair and other insects in the water. Very poor and rude staff. Once they even tried to charge us for a broken chair never used. TO AVOID

It's a cheap, no nonsense place to stay which is just on the edge of the strip at Laganas. We went for a cheeky week away at the start of the season. The staff were business like rather than friendly, beds were a bit hard but ok. The biggest problem is that it is incredibly noisy, if it's not for the people coming back from the club's, screaming and shouting, the number of cockerels in the neighborhood wake you throughout the night. Don't get me wrong, if I was still in my teens or twenties and away with mates this would be a great place to stay. On top of this, for the unadventurous, food and drink was reasonable etc

Absolutely awful hotel, do not stay here, if you do you re asking to get ill!!!!! First day of arriving I did not have a pillow or sheet on my bed when I came back from the beach I was happy to see they had been put on but only to find find blood on them. Shocking Dana was nice at the start when we started to complain turned into a really nasty woman.

It s cheap for a reason! Stay somewhere else
