Top Maplewood treasure! Love their coffee, ginger snaps, blueberry cake and all of their scones, especially their cranberry ginger and cherry coconut.

Able Baker has great coffee and even better bakery goods. They have a good latte and their cupcakes and scones are great.

Lots of fun things to eat, and even gluten free and grain free options.

Such a gem in the lovely town of Maplewood. The best part is they serve La Colombe coffee! The baked goods are also fantastic. Always make sure we stop in when we visit the area.

Based on reviews I was really excited to try this place. I was on the hunt for a strawberry rhubarb pie,and this place had it. Pulled up and the place was packed I thought great sign!

Couldn t be more wrong!

For a PIE they charged 30$!
It was the WORST most disgusting pie I ve ever tasted! Shop Rite sells these pies for about 3$ and they tasted so much better than this 30$ overpriced garbage, which is where that pie ended up!I figured at least with the price they charge it should be REALLY GOOD. The pie didn t taste anything like a strawberry rhubarb pie. There was a slight taste of strawberry and few pieces of rhubarb and the pie tasted zesty like oranges.Also the pie was soggy. The best part was the crust.

All in all, the worst pie I ve ever eaten, not worth the price or my time. They are a bakery, they should have this down!

Downtown coffee shop well loved for both drop in (and stay awhile or get it to go) coffee, tea, and pastries as well as for cakes, cookies, pies ordered for special events. There are always fabulous decorated and usually themed sugar cookies available as well as scones (they can go fast) and cookies including delicious chocolate crinkle gluten free which I recommend highly (and Im not GF). Cakes and pies get rave reviews locally and the place is always hopping. Street parking can be hard but there are a few nearby lots, most free except the train lot right cross from the Able Baker.

These guys and gals rock. They re always super friendly. Love the coffee. Love the cakes and the cupcakes. We ve ordered some of each for parties and special occasions. Have never been disappointed.

OMG I literally just left this place and when I say it is EVERYTHING!! It smells amazing, like coffee and heaven mixed with baked goods. The cookies are so soft and the brownies melt in your mouth, but the best thing here in my opinion : THE BANANA BREAD. I'm obsessed and can't wait to go back so please go here and make your life complete!

There's a reason this bakery is so popular - the baking is great and the coffee is great. The proprietors are also wonderful people. Worth supporting with your business.

If you do not want more heaped desserts, with cream and chocolate, take a homemade cake, they are also very delicious here, with a huge amount of filling. And do not forget the vanilla hot sauce)

They are fabulous! A bit pricy, but worth every penny.

It s was a nice place, especially because there is not many competitors in that category. Pricing though is outrageous! I wanted to buy Hanukkah cookies and they had a box of 9 sugar cookies for $20!!! Are you serious? For simple sugar cookies with icing???I think I m done with that place...

I wanted every single baked good that was on display l. Everything looked fresh! I had the blueberry crumb cake. Lawd-a-mercy it was so delicious and the owner was so nice. I will definitely be back! 10's across the board!

The best of the best! The banana bread is always moist and very flavorful without being too sweet. The hot chocolate, always made with milk, is rich and deep in flavor. We've had their cakes and cookies and they, too, are consistently amazing. They have a small bathroom in the back that they were generous enough to let use for my son. We had a chance to briefly meet the baking staff and they were all warm and friendly, just adding to our wonderful experience. I wish they had more indoor seating but the four table that they do have seem to rotate out fairly quickly. As a bonus, they also have great gluten and dairy free options!!

Amazing birthday cake flavors and decorations. The vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream was yummy. Will definitely come back to purchase future bday cakes!!!

Great baked goods. Not too many bakeries around anymore so this is very refreshing. Places to sit and enjoy a coffee and snack. A bit pricey but its very good and well worth it. We have had various items here and they are all delicious...even some gluten free options. Street parking. Try this place.

Love this place so much!! Just tried their lemon thyme scone and it s so good! Coffee is always so tasty, employees are always super nice and quick. To the owner keep doing a great job. Always a big fan!

The absolute best. Julie and the team work their butts and hearts out to provide not just tasty baked goods, but an oasis in the community for families, friends, telecommuters and potential new residents. We love our visits here for the cutest themed cookie of the day (and a la colombe iced coffee for mom).

The Spring-themed sugar cookies were tasty, but I found a thin, short hair in one of them, so that was a bit off-putting!

Great selection of delicious baked goods and beverages. I used to be really into the banana bread (#glutenfree, if that's important to you) and scones, but have now rotated to the fruit pies.

I ordered a birthday cake about two months or so ago b/c I was told this bakery had wonderful cakes. I was very specific on my request. Not only was the cake very expensive. It was super dense and tasted horrible. I was not pleased at all.

Best coffee I have had in the area. Consistently smooth and flavorful. Baked goods are amazing. Always a great experience here.

Good scones and hot apple cider. The seating outside is very limited and on rain grates that make the chairs and tables wobble. Crowded in the morning.

Found this place by mistake and what a great mistake that was. The place smells heavenly and they offer lots of gluten free treats.

Have loved everything baked good that I have purchased or sampled...Even baked goods for customers with food allergies...They add something different all the time....I usually come in for one thing but leave with more than originally planned...

They brew La Colombe coffee, which is by far our favorite if you appreciate real coffee (espresso)!

My family loves the Able Baker. Our favorites from here are: lemon pound cake, chocolate chip scone, and the maple latte.

A little crowded when it is busy, but always worth it. The scones are delicious and a decent selection of tea and coffee. The food is amazing and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

The coffee was excellent. Nice outdoor seating area. But please offer something for vegans. I would have liked to order something to eat but you had absolutely no vegan options. :(

Definitely grab a banana bread loaf and if it s available the zucchini bread too! I called for a last minute birthday cake and they were able to accommodate. The service is consistent and always friendly.

Julie and team butter work so hard to bring you a product that is as good to eat as it is pretty to look at. The cookies they ice are sweet little gifts on their own! While I long for the home delivery Julie made years ago when she first started, I am thrilled that her business has grown. The shop is a civic leader in the community and a hub of activity all day long during non pandemic times. If you have not had one of their sweet treats take the time to treat yourself- order on line and do curbside pickup....you will not be disappointed!

Great baked goods and coffee with a laid back atmosphere and outdoor/indoor seating. On the smaller side so can get a little crowded sometimes. Staff is super friendly and the banana bread is to die for.

One of my favorites in Maplewood, although it's always busy it's worth the wait! Their scones and the GF banana bread are both a must try! The coffee and tea selection is also top quality!

What's not to love? Try a box of goodies to cheer up a friend.

Ordered mini-cupcakes for my toddler s classroom party, peanut-free facility. The vanilla bean frosting was amaaaaaazing.
