The festival is worth it. Spend all day as a family. What you have to do is buy the album and thoroughly investigate all the activities. They also indicate the variety of foods and beverages they sell. There is food of various types, Mexican, German, etc. the parking lot is large. Very tasty meals, very refreshing drinks. The super cheerful people who serve. A very pleasant environment to share with family, play and laugh.

Where do you even start. We camped at festival. More things to do and great shows and food, great facilities and on and on. More than you can possibly take in for 2 days. Can't wait till next year

This place never ceases to amaze. There is always great food, great shows, and great products. The turkey legs, chocolate dipped cheesecake, and funnel cake are all amazing. The bars have great beer selection and they even serve authentic mead. The shows are awesome too from the Birds of Prey to the Dead Bob show, they're all great. The shops all sell generally the same products but they're good quality and you might find variations on certain things. The attractions are great as well. The rock wall is awesome and so is the hedge maze. There's something for everyone here. Definitely bring cash to speed the process up. I went on the day of a black out so only cash carrying patrons could really enjoy anything. It's pricey here, but it's well worth it.

Everyone was kind and I was able to immerse myself in the experience. Lots of people were in character. It was great. The prices were a different story. Though it was a expected for some prices to be high, I just didn't think a tiny wooden spoon or fork would cost $6. Expect to do lots of walking in order to enjoy yourself.

This Ren faire in Mission-Todd is huge. You can fill two days. Go in November when the weather is PERFECT. This is relaxed fun for people of all ages. Good rides for kids and adults, the employees all have a great sense of humor (some of it can be a little crude, but I like that for a laugh and it is fitting for this environment), and the shows are fun and free.

The shows are free. The rides are not. The rides are expensive; $3 to $10 apiece, and that's after paying for admission. For this reason I would subtract one-half a star if I could. Still, the lines aren't long.

The food is delicious for some people, if you like pot pies, turkey legs and sausage. It's at least nutritious food (for the most part; funnel cake and cotton candy are available) since it's based on pre- pre-packaged fare. These are the 15th and 16th centuries, after all.

You do not have to dress up (I haven't since I was 26) but lots of people do. Feel free to come dressed as anyone or anything, from a piece of fruit to Batman, be you a toddler or an octogenarian or anything in between.

A great festival to enjoy a day strolling through areas set up as the old countries of Europe with old renaissance style rides like Neptune's Swings, and fun games and activities like battle axe/knives throwing and crossbows/long bows archery. Cool museums to walk through including Castle of oddities with exhibits from movies like Gremlins, Hellraiser, and Stormship Troopers. Bring plenty of cash as each exhibit, game, and rides are extra. The shows are all free if you can schedule the times to watch different shows throughout the festival. The closing fire show is awesome to watch with a fireworks show to finish the day.

One of the best renaissance festivals I've been to. Warm, friendly people. Great food and drink. Fantastic shows. Awesome merchandise. Being held in the fall when the weather is cool is great. You can wear your best costumes without getting overheated. There's always plenty to do. With music or shows on every corner, you'll never get bored.

This Renaissance Festival is massive and diverse. No judgements, only hundreds of opportunities. So many shops and places to eat and drink. You could walk for hours without seeing everything. Its wonderful.

It was so much fun, with so much to do! Everyone there was super friendly and the merchandise at the shops was so cool, I wish I'd brought more money. Oh and the food was amazing! I was sad to have to leave at the end of the day.

This was.the first time and I had so much fun, there is drinking for adults and a kiddie corner with rides, bungies, and face paint for kids. The Texas renaissance festival was family friendly and so much fun with all the dealers there to buy things too.

We always have a great time here. I was sorry to see that Arsene was not there this year - he's an awesome mime- but Ded Bob is still hilarious, food is fantastic and the fireworks are still the best around. I highly recommend it!
I was wrong - Arsene WAS there. I apparently has too much Mead.

The festival is an absolute must for everyone. It's lively, full of fun characters and great food. Fellow visitors are, for the better part, fun and excited to meet others - and usually in some of the most interesting of outfits. Camping is great if you know where to go. There are certain areas that become 18+...just be aware of that come night time.

My one criticism is in the getting there. Coming from.249 is death. It took us near 3 hours, once in Magnolia, to get into the camping grounds. I understand that it is a good deal of people coming to it...but it was exhausting and nearly caused our visits to be ruined. Though this is more of a criticism of how the municipality has handled this ever growing fun fest.

It was awesome!! I highly recommend going. Just plan ahead with driving. Especially if you are coming from the Galveston area. Do yourself a favor and get a ez pass to use the toll roads!

Love dressing up and drinking. If you're cool with some debauchery it's the place for you. Get there at open and leave before the sun goes down, or stay reeeeaaly late to avoid traffic. Queens Pantry is my favorite breakfast spot, and turkey legs for days.

Excellent time to be had.

Great food and a great shopping experience.
There's a lot of handmade items you can't find anywhere else.

Amazing as always. The new area was nice but could have been a little better. It was kind of lack luster being it was in the works for 4 years. For was great as always but then again I usually only get the turkey leg. Lol the round table gourmet was amazing but I'm a foodie so go figure. Definitely worth checking out though. Overall a great experience as always!

We had a fantastic time even if it was just a half day. This was my first time catching the fire and fireworks show! There is plenty to do and see for all ages. It's easy to spend inside so I'm glad parking is free.

Although my girls and I always have a blast at the festival and the camp grounds this year I'm disappointed in the food. Every year I can't wait to go to the Greek side for gyro...this year it was gross. The meat was dry and flavorless and the veggies were old and discolored. My daughter's and I bought the combo with fries and drink which was $20 each so it was $60 in total and the fries were burned and hard as if from the day before. I almost broke a tooth on it!!! We thought maybe it was just that but the next day we got a turkey leg to eat and that was terrible too. The festival was fun but make sure you eat before going to avoid spending half the time in the bathroom...lol. On a good note the kettle corn is always on point. Campgrounds always great!!!
