On Saturday I was driving North on I-95 from Fayetteville when I a hit a piece of metal in the road blowing out my tire. I had my infant and small child in the car at the time. While I am more than capable of changing a tire, I was petrified to do so due to the fact that the shoulder is narrow, the speed limit is 70mph and people were not moving into the left lane. I call my road side assistance but they wouldn t be to me for more than hour. I started working on the tire myself. Loosening lug nuts between burst of traffic. As I was lossening the third lug nuts I looked up to see and officer turning on his lights and pulling behind me. I don t think I have ever been so happy to see blue flashing lights pull up behind my car. Officer Forsht approached me and told me he would change the tire and to stand back and watch traffic. Because he was stopped traffic was forced to switch lanes. He had the tire swapped out in a matter of minutes. Once the tire was switch Office Forsht escorted me to the next exit where I could replace my donut with a real tire and be on my way. Office Forsht is the absolute picture of protect and serve. If he had not stopped this story could have ended much differently! Thank you for your service!!!
Do your jobs and stop letting people get away with not using turn signals cause I'm from ohio and have been here less than 4 days and In that time I have seen over 5000 people who haven't used them and I stopped counting at 5000 on the second day do your jobs or quit cause this is ridiculous
Trooper K S Libby North Carolina pulled me, my wife, my father in law and my 2 kids aged 7 and 8 over in the outer banks. I absolutely had my seat belt on but it was under my shoulder as I was helping my wife give her something. He pulls me over and says I didn t have my belt on. I couldn t believe what I was hearing. I was very respectful and did not think he would have the audacity to write me a ticket for something like this. My belt was on. He wrote the ticket for improper use of the seatbelt and low and behold $175. I couldn t believe it. What a joke and waste of tax payer money to have this a$$hole writing tickets for something that absolutely if anything should have just been a warning or nothjbg at all as the belt was on 100%. I was driving with out of state plates and absolutely was a money grab knowing I wouldn t be back to fight this in court a month or so later. Trooper k s Libby should be ashamed of himself and also shouldn t be wasting his time writing false:/fake tickets. If I was local I would definitely fight this and win. What a jerk. I also won t be going back to outer banks and will be sure to make everyone aware of this problem of basically stealing from vacationers. $175 wow
