Horrible. I came to them in Feb 2013 with back and neck pain, I got an MRI that they ordered, from I got a series of injections and ever-increasing pain pill prescriptions, finally in September 2013 I was seen by a surgeon who looked at the same MRI they had been looking at and he immediately saw a shattered disc and I went in for cervical spinal replacement surgery and upon waking up the pain was gone...and still is! When asked why Dr. Mukai at Texas Orthopedics never saw the injury I was ignored for a month by them until I wrote something negative on their Facebook wall (which was immediately yanked down...it seems only positive feedback is allowed...), they let me know that Dr. Mukai wasn't qualified to see the injury, then told me she never saw the MRI and that the people at ARA looked at it and informed her of the results, then finally I was told that Dr. Mukai saw a Facebook posting that indicated that I was happy following a visit to ANOTHER doctor at Texas Orthopedics and she then thought I was fixed...it seems she forgot that when the pain meds from that visit wore off I called back to get another appointment...my experience gets worse as at one point she referred to me as a drug seeker evidently taking her inability to see my injury as me wanting drugs thinking I wasn't in pain. in the end there was never a true apology, a lot of calls and e-mails and contact us forms never returned, a lot of Facebook postings pulled, and a lot of excuses. I almost feel like they rode my very good insurance as long as they could and then let me go. I cannot recommend this place after this horrible experience. I could have had surgery six months earlier and not lost so much of my life and they just don't care.

I do not know how my appointment with Dr. Schultz and Texas Orthopedics could have gone any better. My knee(s) had been hurting badly and I was worried that I may have to have surgery. After I left my appointment with Dr. Schultz I feel rejuvenated. He told me that I would not need surgery and how I to take better care of my knees. Ready to take the field! (Although with a bit more caution.)

Dr. Smoot is personable and smart. He is helpful with my orthopedic issues, although they are vast. He is straight forward in his approach, which I appreciate. I was able to get an appointment at a different location the same day I called, to get a much needed cortisone shot, which was very much appreciated. His PA is top-notch, as well.

Dr Mukai and the nurse or PA who assisted her were great. I continue to have confidence in her diagnosis and proposed treatment. My issue with Texas Orthopedics is that twice now they have had trouble getting authorization from my insurance company, and they are the only practice that has this problem. This last time, I had to wait five the better part of an hour to resolve this issue before I could see the doctor.

I had a great experience at Texas Orthopedics. Everyone was happy and polite. I especially liked Dr. Greg Westmoreland. He too was happy and smiling. I had an injection in my shoulder and hardly felt it. I am already better. I highly recommend Dr. Westmoreland and the staff at Texas Orthopedics.

This place is a joke. I've been to Texas orthopedics multiple times trying to get an MRI. The first time they refused to give me an MRI even with a referral from urgent care. They then gave me an X-ray and told me I was fine. My shoulder popped out again literally 8 hours after I left. After 4 hours on the phone and 2 missed days of work I finally got an MRI scheduled and was told the location I had originally gotten an MRI scheduled at DIDNT EVEN HAVE AN MRI MACHINE. While on the phone I was asked if I work with metal, which I do. I was told I need to get my eyes X-Ray'd before I could get an MRI. I scheduled an X-ray and MRI at this location only to show up and have them try to give me an MRI with out getting an X-ray. Brian, the MRI tech tried to convince me that I would be fine, and that "if you don't think you have metal in your eyes you should be fine". I told him I refused to get in the MRI machine with out first checking to make sure there was no metal in my eyes. I was told "we can do the X-ray today but we will have to reschedule the MRI for another day". I work full time in a metal shop, they expected me to get an X-ray and wait until they had an opening on another day to get an MRI. This means I would be unable to go to work until they had an opening for an MRI so I wouldn't have to risk getting metal in my eyes before the MRI. I was then told this was my fault for not showing up 15 minutes before my appointment when I had shown up over 20 minutes before my appointment. This place is a joke and the way they run it could have cost me my eye site if I hadn't been warned about the importance of getting my eyes X-rayd before an MRI.

Wonderful empathetic doctor. As a very senior citizen I have experienced many doctors in my lifetime, and I found even with a frenetic schedule Dr. Mukai takes the time to analyze the problem that brought me to her.

Highly recommended.

Dr. McDonald is amazing! He is a great communicator, pays attention to the details I provided him, and seems to genuinely care. I live in another city and drove over an hour to see him. It was completely worth it. His staff understood my difficult case and handled it all without any problems. I am a harsh critic with high expectations. If you have a hip or knee problem in central Texas, you owe it to yourself to to see Dr. McDonald and his staff.

My appointment was to make sure my issues from 2 years ago were not returning. Efficiency and professionalism are the best words I can use. Kate is a jewel. She is thorough, asks great questions about your situation, and shows great concern over your health. She can also give a shot that you never feel.
Kristen and Aubrie were very helpful up front, and genuinely pleased and excited if you are released from care to get on with your life. Highly recommended for your orthopedic needs.

I have been seeing Dr. Blais since 2016 for a bone complication due to my cancer. He is a wonderful doctor and a good-hearted genuine person. I look at the xrays with him, he shows me what the issue is, and is always extremely informative about how to proceed. The office staff at the South location are particularly awesome. It is always my preferred location for visits. Highly recommend this practice!

My experience as usual with Dr. Garcia was excellent. My cheking was quick and my wait to see the doctor was 5 minutes. I waited another couple minutes in examination room for Dr. Garcia. I ve been seeing Dr. Westmoreland since 2010. I lived in Wimberley,TX until about six years ago when I moved to Houston. I drive the 4 hour drive to see him he is that good. I can t find anyone in Houston that compares with him or Texas Orthopedics. Although it is a busy clinic, Dr. Westmoreland always seems to take the time and provide the care I need. He is an excellent physician and I m grateful for the excellent care he provides.

Everyone with whom I came in contact was very professional and personable. The receptionist explained the "update" forms she gave me, thanked me for bringing in an updated medication list, and crossed out the corresponding section on the forms I was to complete. The nurse who called me back was very direct in asking me about my injury and seemed pleased that I could give him specifics. He later explained very clearly how to use a night splint. Dr. Smoot was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about my injury and explained the best ways I could help myself recover and make myself stronger. He was very sympathetic when I asked if I could return within a specific time due to an outside obligation I had. I have seen other professionals within this group, that's why I returned, and I will return again should there be another need to do so.

I have been going to Texas Orthopedics since 2007 ...

I have been going to Texas Orthopedics since 2007 when I needed shoulder surgery that was performed by Dr. Barbara Bergin. I have been back several times since then, but always visited the north location without event.
Recently my wife had a broken elbow and we needed to see an Orthopedic doctor. We went to Texas Orthopedics because they take United Health Care Insurance.
For the first time ever I had a horrible experience!!!!
They demanded 300.00 up front before we could even be seen.
Then they demanded full payment at the end of the visit!!!
WE HAVE INSURANCE!!!
To boot, we are guaranteed a ZERO COPAY through United Health Care.
When I complained that they were not being compliant with the insurance provider's zero copay, they said, "Well we already know what they cover so we demand payment up front."
When I said no, I was pulled into the office managers office and told that I would pay and that they do not bill.
I then produced a bill that they had sent me from a previous visit.
She said that I must have an HRA account and offered to drain that to pay for that day's visit.I said I do but that I have a zero co pay and I will not pay until they run it through my insurance.
They also offered to charge me the remainder of my deductible so that the insurance would "kick in".....meh.
I have since reported them to my Insurance provider
Here is what we would have paid:
300.00 deposit on credit card
150.00 for office visit
750.00 for an MRI
100.00 for RX

Ridiculous!!!

They are blaming Obamacare on their extraction of every last dollar from you wallet.

Before the first surgery she was on a walker and just short of being wheelchair bound. Thank you so much Dr. Savage and Texas Orthopedics!

Dr. David Savage MD is an excellent orthopedic sur...

Dr. David Savage MD is an excellent orthopedic surgeon with fantastic bedside manner. About 5 years ago, I had been suffering with severe pain in my right hip and could not walk without a crutch until I was referred to Dr. Savage. His staff performed x-rays
on my hips and knees and Dr. Savage told me the diagnosis right away. He said I needed right hip replacement because my knee joint was bone on bone. Dr. Savage spent as much time with me as necessary at my surgery consultation going over step by step of the process , what to expect and addressed all my questions and concerns regarding the surgery. He has the most amazing staff and they scheduled me for surgery right away.
I had an excellent experience with the hospital stay but more importantly when I woke up from surgery, I no longer had that horrific severe hip pain I experienced for so long prior to the surgery. I had another type of pain which was from the hip replacement surgery itself. Dr. Savage set up physical therapy in my home the first few weeks then I had more physical therapy in the same bldg as his office for several weeks and within 6 months you could not even tell I had surgery because my recovery was absolutely remarkable due to Dr. Savage's medical expertise and a lot of hard work on my end. I made full recovery within a year and that is a quick summary of how Dr. Savage changed my life overnight for the better.
I am currently receiving knee injections from Dr. Savage for severe pain due to arnthritis. He knows exactly what spot to hit because when he first injects the Novocain numbing medicine in my knees the pain is alleviated immediately. This lets him know he has hit the correct spot so then he injects my knees with the actual steroid medication to hopefully alleviate my knee pain for 6 months or longer.
I highly recommend Dr. Savage for anyone having orthopedic issues. He is
not only an excellent surgeon but has a heart of gold. He truly has the kindest and most caring disposition for his patients.

Sincerely,
Wren Howell-Rogala

I expected a bit more. Not very High Tech.
They took XRays but didn t show them to me. Sure I could ve asked but... felt like a car wash. Just In and Out. Dr. Westmoreland was pleasant. I was expecting more info.

I stated that the purpose of my visit was to update an ILoA w Sedgwick.
I made sure I paid for the paperwork and signed a release. Yet Sedgwick called me saying the dr needed me to come back and pay a fee and sign a release.
I DID! WHEN I WAS THERE. THAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF MY VISIT.
I know you re a Dr. and your time is valuable. But so nis mine. I used two of my 15 minute breaks to let your staff know I already paid and signed.
