Nothing really wrong, just nothing super great either. The cars on display in the lobby were really fun to see, Batmobile, Back to the Future Time Machine, Fast and the Furious Rack Car were our favorites.

Excellent location, price and staff & sercice. Nothing to be missed when looking for a quite place between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Home of one of the most fascinating private car collections - an awesome add on without any additional charge.
For the price this stay was easy, the room was clean and the bed and pillows were perfect! Older style but clean! Stayed in 510 with view of the block next door and the pool. The room was bright and ok. Close to Seven Magic Mountains and a great drive to Sandy Valley!
Funky smells, coffee maker didn't work and even if it did there was only enough coffee to make one cup in a double room, hairdryer was broken and fell completely off the wall when my son-in-law tried to use it, slow check in, and hallway and room were pretty grungy.
The rooms need updated and the wifi is crap. The casino needs updated and it lacks entertainment. The choice of restaurant's are Denny's and a steak house along with a over priced place that can't even achieve a hamburger. If your looking for a non expensive reserved place then this would be perfect. The staff also lack in understanding English.
Great big truck/rv parking area ! Nice old style casino with hotel, I heard truckers get a good hotel price ! Denny's is a plus for a hungry trucker ! Also a fuel station for coffee/snacks no showers, a piece of mind when looking to park in Las Vegas.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The check in desk was inside the dirtiest sad looking casino the hallways looked like they haven t been maintained in 20 years they all need new carpet and fresh wall coverings. Like I said the room itself was decent, the only complaint would be the AC unit in my room was all bent up dented in luckily it still functioned. The shower had a broken part on the wall. Where it had been an attempted repair to the fiberglass. They could use some fixing up but we were tired and didn t feel like paying 3x the amount for the night to stay somewhere in Vegas so it worked out. I probably won t stay here again.
Cheap enough, but no craps tables (only gambling game I play), I think this place has seen better days. The dacor was early 1990s.
The good, the bed is great, felt like a Hamton Inn oe Holiday Inn Express quality. So if you need a reasonable rate place to spend the night, not a bad choice, but if you are looking to gamble, there are much better casinos.
Out dated, there "remodel" was them buying stuff other hotels where trying to get rid of, the shower curtain said holiday inn! This place is ready for a demonstration or big money to make it sanitary, it's falling apart.
This place looked like a storage for old crapped out slot machines. Also staff was super rude. Very dirty and smelly. So disappointed was hoping to have a new place to stop in after Vegas besides stateline. Hope others have better experience then we did.
Sheets were hard...really? Towels smelled... shower rod had a soap box spacer to keep it up. Showerhead leaked behind the wall.. can anyone say black mold? Enough said?
I will give u heads up if looking for good rate on weekends an you drive truck right here it is.49.00 Saturday night 26.00 Sunday night. My room was clean very nice people there. I will tell you I very much appreciate you all giving the truckers a good rate. Thank you Gold Strike Just visited again actually won little money this time really enjoyed it
1 1/2 Stars. "Deluxe" 2 queen bed room. No refrigerator. Later told "deluxe" means more square footage. Stains on bed sheets. Clean but disgusting shower floor long overdue for refinishing. Mold stain on shower curtain. Wallpaper peeling off outside room door in hall. Lovely view of dirty linen carts out the window. Unauthorized DOG BARKING next door; easily heard thru adjoining door. A/C noisy. Casino Okay unless you play table games. Steakhouse 3 out of 5 stars. Denny's FIVE STAR (especially with included free breakfast tickets). Nice staff helpless in ability to address my issues or offer any kind of refund. Great memories of years gone by, playing and staying here, but no more. Beware of tour bus hell...
I don t think I ve stayed at a worse hotel in Vegas, might have been motels, but never hotels. We arrived a day early for our hotel and this was the cheapest option right off the highway. My wife checked in and when she got back to the car she smelled like a 80s sitcom. The hallways are dark and dingy, and the rooms badly need updated with new bedding and furnishings. When I woke up after 4 hours of sleep, I was so grossed out by our room that I just wanted to get out of there. So we skipped the free breakfast and got out as fast as we could. Really you should try to find something better.
Nice place, free breakfast. But if you buy the breakfast in the place it's very cheap just $3.30 only. One day night we stayed $100+ 12.89 tax&Fees. Ok
Place is quiet and with relaxed feel to it. My room was how I requested it and very clean much, cleaner than some las vegas hotel rooms I have been in before. The buffet is 24/7 and reasonably priced dinner was $12.99 when I went. Food was good not as big as a las vegas buffet but I liked that. Overall if you want a quiet place to gamble or to rest this is the place.
The first room we were given was filthy so we asked to be moved. The second room really wasn't much better. I'm not sure they even use vacuums or mops. The floors are terrible. There was a dead tic in the bathroom. The customer service is slow and not friendly or helpful.
Cute, cozy & only a few miles of off the strip! Perfect place to stay if you want to take a weekend getaway with your little family! My family of 3 had fun!
Dirty and dingy the cars are cool in here but they need more cars more WOW factor needed with them also you should be able to get closer to the cars as well..
The name tells you everything! This place looks like its stuck in the 80s. The machines are tight, the staff is elderly (I love the elderly, just not serving me drinks), the coffee is stale, the steakhouse is a joke. I was here for a week for work.
We left Vegas early and just wanted to get the hell out of dodge so we pointed the car down the 15 and punched it. About 10 minutes in, I realized that I was starving and I better stop and grab some grub. I was just outside Jean, Nevada and thought that the Gold Strike might just be the perfect place for breakfast and I had never been there either.
We pulled into the parking lot at the Gold Strike and parked inside. I mean this place out in the middle of nowhere (State Line) and the other kind of nowhere (Las Vegas) so it didn't surprise me that there were very few people here.
We came up to the buffet and the price for breakfast was reasonable. I think it was like $8.50 so the two of us at for under $20 which was a bonus.
I made a b-line for the omelette making station because I was in the mood to go big. I ended up getting a mushroom, tomato, ham and cheese omelette. The place was really slow and I only had to wait behind 3 people so I was mowing that bad boy down within 10 minutes of placing my initial order.
I grabbed a big old pile of bacon and sausage and some biscuits and gravy and then I smothered everything in that gravy. IT WAS REALLY GOOD!
I had to be back in Long Beach around noon so I didn't have a whole ton of time to dilly dally around so I only stayed for the one plate and we were out.
I had a great experience at the Bonanza Buffet and I am actually going to come back and stay at the Gold Strike on my next gambling trip. It looks like it is totally my speed!
Understaffed and really old casino, the only pluses are abundant parking and the cars that are showcased might be worth a stop if you are passing through, otherwise nothing outstanding.
For the price this stay was easy, the room was clean and the bed and pillows were perfect! Older style but clean! Stayed in 510 with view of the block next door and the pool. The room was bright and ok. Close to Seven Magic Mountains and a great drive to Sandy Valley!
A small quiet Casino. The staff is very very friendly and helpful. Still has a few slots that take coins. Makes it a little unique and fun. Not many restaurant choices.
Went in to use restroom, water bugs or Asian cockroaches all over the entrance, casino floor, live and dead. Sat down to play a machine and looked down and crawling all over. I'm out, never visit again
Gold Strike was great! We wanted a low priced hotel since we were getting in late and leaving early. They even have is a free Denny's breakfast!!! This place was quite and not crowded.
I'm a local, I love the Gold Strike cuz it's a get away for us, but all the employees are extremely rude, this last weekend we didn't have hot water at all in our room in the south tower. It blow's when you pay $200 for a room and you have to take cold showers. Then my 4 year old goes to go pee and gets bit all over her feet and legs by fire ants crawling up the toilet. That was a couple months ago when we had a room in the north tower, and the water bugs were huge. It's just a disappointed feeling when it's always something, and it doesn't change. I would be so happy to see it truly step it up and Become it's full potential.
