Terrible's Hotel and Casino Reviews

A good solid bet in Las Vegas. As a regional truck driver, I have stayed at this hotel 20 to 30 nights a year for probably 2 plus years. And as you would expect, I know many of the long term employees by now and receive exceptional service. If I didn t, I would obviously stay somewhere else. However, I liked this Casino, it s location, it s staff, it s food and the facilities as much the first day as I did the last day I stayed there. And I m not by myself. I love to see the excitement on the faces of those individuals that come as part of the tours (especially those from China) from time to time. I like seeing the satisfied customer leaving the steakhouse in the evening. I like watching the happy gambling winners and not so much, the less than happy losers. I like the movie cars and the better than average 24 hr Denny s. I like the band and Sunday night Karaoke. And most of all, I love the new travel center across the interstate as well as the in progress changes they are making at the hotel. I highly recommend that everyone give this Casino a try. Only $40 Uber ride to the strip if you like, yet your secure and away from the rush.

Convenient and interesting place to make a quick stop off the freeway. Attentive and nice staff and fair prices. It's definitely not the strip casinos, but isn't that why you're stopping here?

Casino has seen better days but the snack bar is OK they also have a Denney's

They have free parking and a free movie car museum with free popcorn. Clean restrooms. Not a lot of food choices. They have a snack bar (avoid rude employees), Dennys, a buffet that was closed and a steak house that opens at 4pm.

Nice little out of the way place to get off the road and not feel like you're super crowded in among the Vegas mobs. Also, nice displays of movie cars in the main room, though not very many.

Stayed for a night before spending 2 nights in town at Planet Hollywood and I will say I enjoyed this hotel 100x more. Atmosphere was great, rooms were clean and staff waa friendly. Being outside the city for someone like my self was best, I should have just stayed there for the remainder of my trip becuase once you spent a night in the city thats enough. If you want to be near vegas but not IN vegas, this is your place

It was fine, but there was no air conditioning control and the bathroom was dirty

Everyother year we take our large extened family to Disneyland and this seams to be a good 1/2 way stopping point in driving that way so we have stayed here for at least 10 years. As far as the rooms are concerned they are OK for 1 night. Unfortunately this year will be the last year we stay here. I am a mother or 4 children. Ranging from 13 down to 2. At our stay this last week they had brought in some cars from popular movies and had them on the showroom floor next to the new Dennys restaurant inside. My 13 year old was super excited about the Fast and Furious car and wanted his picture by it. So I was taking his picture and my sweet 2 year old was drawn in by the slot machines. I know children aren't allowed and would never want them on the gambling floor but he loved the lights and sounds so he climbed onto a chair. When I finished taking the picture I looked down to find he was gone and so I looked around and seen him sitting at the slot machine in the chair with 3 casino workers around him. I walked over and apologized for him being there and the floor manager started to yell at me in front of all my family telling me what a terrible mother I am and how irresponsible I was. I apologized a second time and he continued to yell and scream at me. So I turned to him and said we are guests in your hotel you can be kind and walked away. This in my opinion was completely unprofessional and worthy of losing his job. For the quality of the rooms, cost to stay and now customer service. I will be taking my family elsewhere and supporting other establishments that know how to treat their patrons.

Friendly, helpful staff. Ate at the steakhouse amd had a great meal. Staff there was also very attentive and pleasant :)

Friendly place, walked out with more than I walked in with. Loved the cars on display.

Love to Get out of Vegas and go someplace not fancy but great service Hot Machines and great selection of Beers then this is the Place

Plenty of truck parking.. Buffet was good 4 me paid $15.12.. liquor drinks $2.00 was a good choice to stayed over night. Couldn't find a parking spot at TA las Vegas at 18:30

Room furnishing old and not inviting. Staff friendly but work hard to keep things moving. Okay for a nite or two unless you want to spend lots more money. On upside, free wifi and lots of TV channels, but who comes to Vegas to stay in room. You get what you pay for...

Great people and service. I highly recommend the Gold Strike.

The service at Denny's is terrible. The food took half an hour to come out and it wasn't busy.

Great meal in stake house then even better music in the bar. That Chris Heers guy I s good.

This is one of those casino's you see in a sketchy 70's movie. Its like you went back in time and. If you looking for a cheap place to sleep then hey its your spot, but if your looking to hit the Casino...please save your money and keep driving to Las Vegas. The casino is filled with chain smokers, the free drinks suck, thats if you can manage to catch the one waitress they have working the whole floor to get one. After leaving everything one me smelled like smoke.

Receptionist was very dismissive and unprofessional.

Just stop for food a a Denny's it was slow and service was good.

Good prices, heated pool, close to Vegas but away from the hustle and bustle

I always love to stay here. The rooms are big and comfortable, they have plenty of parking for cars and semis, and their rewards program is great for free food and rooms! Most of the time, when I go to Las Vegas, I will stay here, because it's not that far away, and the prices are much better!

Went last summer to Las Vegas and on the way home stopped in Jean at the Gold Strike Hotel and stayed the night..Was so suprised about how nice it was. The rooms were clean and very comfortable the Casino was great. Not a lot of people just the way I like it. I enjoyed my time there last year that the hubby and I are planning another trip to stay there and only there. Never thought it would be as nice as it was because i was remember a night we had stayed at Whiskey Petes and the rooms were so nasty I slept in my clothes all night so grossed out to even get under the covers.

This was the first time I was there , it was small gaming area but loved the cars they had on display.

This place is usually a very good casino. This time it also had very little people. It seemed very slow to me.

It's a hell of better than it was. The only thing is they don't have ticket changers.... Price for rooms are a little high. They are still unknown. No matter what... it's a truck stop

I went to see the Fast & Furious cars. The cars were amazing, but the lighting was horrible. You couldn't take a decent picture because of the reflection of the light on all of the cars. In addition to the FF cars, the Bat Mobile, Back to the Future car and Grease Lightning car.

Small and clean location. Better than stopping at stateline and getting stuck in all the traffic if you are just trying to stop really quick.

Hotel advertises tub/shower in their rooms, come to find out it is only in some. As for the casino "Gold Strike" might as well been "No Strike". After spending what I consider a large sum of money you would expect to win something, or at least break even. I will NEVER visit this place again. I can only hope that the Gaming Commission reads this and changes their ways.

I have stopped here before in the passes and always stopped for the prim rib....very good. This time the restaurant was closed, we tried the buffet and it SUCKED everything tasted like it came cans. Never again.

This place is nice but I don't recmend the Dennys there the service at the morning and day is bad but at night the staff is nicer

Had a bad time trying to breathe thru the cigarette smoke. The snack bar person made herself a sandwich while were standing there for service and then announced she was going on break so go to Dennys. Sorry, Terrible place to be. Won't be back.

What's the Point? I honestly don't see why anyone would want to come here to spend the night. The hotel is very small, literally in the middle of NOWHERE! The hotel offers a movie car exhibit but their is no reason to want to stay or vacation here, small casino, lack of entertainment, small pool. You're better off driving 10 miles to PRIMM if you want an affordable, renovated, Clean stay with things to do, Or keep diving to Vegas.

You get what you pay for. Maybe it was because I had a pet room but I travel a lot and this was the WORST place I've ever stayed. The lock on the door is broken, there's tissue hanging out of the broken pieces of ceiling tile, the air conditioning unit is falling apart, the shower was destroyed, there's holes in the walls, and what appears to be major water damage on the baseboards.... which is terrifying in a pet room. They charge you extra to travel with a pet. I assumed it was for the extra cleaning that happened in the pet room but there's no way that's it. It was clear the bathroom had not had a deep clean in a while. I can tolerate pet hair but not someone else's pet hair in a hotel room. What else didn't get cleaned?! And there was a half used bottle of shampoo on the counter. Seriously? It's a tiny hotel bottle of shampoo. I really can't have a new one? The only positive thing I can say was there was no sign of bed bugs. Do yourself a favor and keep driving. You deserve better.

Nice place...I won almost$1000 ..everytime I work in Vegas in my way back to California I stop by and get some food at the steak house...

Overnight guest just looking for a quiet room. Room was great. Water pressure is fantastic. Bed was absolutely adequate. For a casino the rooms were incredibly quiet. I will stay there again.

Not crowded, machines a little tight. I think there would be more people if the loosen the machines some. Nice bathrooms always clean everywhere.

Small feel to it, they have a few coachs come in with chinese vistors, they love it. The steak house is better then the Dennys. Shoot the snack bar is better than Dennys.

Sucked, which is probably why they are not there anymore.

This place is forever lost in the 70's. They do have some updated rooms for an extra $11.25 a night.

The place was dead. Went in to see the coin slots they advertised and they had 4 total coin slots. Just enough to keep it from false advertising. Avoid this place like the plague.

I think a remodel is in order. Food options are slim. Staff is however friendly and courteous. More slots are needed. This is a very quiet casino.

Just stopped buy on way out from Vegas. Quiet. And comfortable

Nice people and an intimate setting, but steak was poorly cooked and portions were way too large.

Loved it minus the mean lady at the hotel check in desk. She scoffed at me when I proceed I'm a female truck driver.

Experience is awful, clerks an the supervisor need to no the roll of they re job when checking guest in. 0 stars
