Terranea Resort Review

Beautiful resort. Everything about it was absolutely perfect!

Stunning views of the ocean, great trails, lovely room, a nice adults only pool, a beautiful spa-meditation pool, beautiful grounds all went into making a wonderful mini break.

Very expensive, but lovely views, great place for a wedding

This is a beautiful resort! I had an awesome time here. The perfect place to relax and unwind! I loved strolling around the property and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The rooms are very cozy and the service is wonderful!

Havent stayed their but a great snorkeling scuba diving spot. It has public beach access and the hotel itself definitely takes you away to beautiful far off resort.

I've, been to Terranea Resort for a few different events now. Last weekend I was attending a friend's wedding and it was an absolutely lovely same as always. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff did a lovely job taking care of everyone. My only critique is that the line to get to the valet took forever.

The views are amazing! We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with friends. The offerings of the breakfast buffet were very tasty. Well, except for the pork belly.

They should consider adding changing tables in the men's restrooms. I had to ask my friend to change my.nieces diaper because these are only available in the women's restrooms.

Aside from the that it was an enjoyable experience.

Attended the Terranea for a client event. It's a gorgeous setting, where you can view whales and seals from one of several resort pools or bar patios. Attractive rooms with updated amenties. Personable staff. Great time.

I love this resort, I've never stayed the night but I've hiked around the property and it is always beautiful! The restaurants are all fantastic and worth the visit!

Really excellent retreat from Los Angeles. Feels like the opposite of piled up cars and freeway traffic jams. I woke up in the morning and I actually felt like I was in a TV version of heaven. There were a lot of kids running around the pool most of the day but it never felt overwhelming. The spa was also extremely nice. Lots of space for a jog in the morning and plenty of events to keep you occupied. 10/10

Went for the summer live music and food... Brought the dog... It was great!

Nelson's Bar was great, right next to the cliff. Just beware, it's pricey.

Amazing resort, great service. 2 pools, both with great views of the ocean. Hosted an event in one of the ball rooms, amazing attention from the staff and great food catered for me team.

This review is about the bar at the lobby only. While the place is very beautiful, service is good, but no very good, not excellent,which is what happens when places don't hire enough, experienced people. I believe this is the first time i pay $25 for a glass of wine and i don't even get a napkin with it. That was in the nicer area, a piano bar type in a hall, connected to the actual bar, which is noisy, too noisy for most people willing to pay 25 bucks for a glass of wine.

Terranea's services are outstanding in comparison to Ritz and other similar caliber resorts. They have a "can do" attitude to make it happen. Top notch guest accommodations and I used to work in the service industy. Try Mar Sel if you want true fine dining.

Too Expensive. The choices of dining is terrible. Would never recommend this resort to anyone.

If you have $565 a night to stay at a hotel go for it not me Motel 6

Stopped by with the wife and doggo for a drink. We had two of the most delicious cocktails: an excellent margarita and a cucumber vodka with celery bitters and celery salt and pepper on the rim. With a meat and cheese plate, it was the perfect Sunday afternoon

Service in the lounge was minimal. Couldn't get a drink to save my life. The view and property itself are gorgeous

Great place! The only negative is the main bar menu. They removed the bar snacks. Now they have removed the flatbread and burgers. Just not many choices left to choose.

Amazing location and views. Staff goes above and beyond to treat the guests. Food is actually moderately priced for such an upscale resort. The pool areas are extremely nice as well.

Went there to drop off a delivery for a guest. Staff was very rude, and reluctant to help

Special California/Mediterranean resort on the Pacific. Terranea is a gem hidden just outside the busy LA area, nestled on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, a surprising reprieve from busy life. It s hard not to be relaxed among the wander paths, patios, and fire pits of the sprawling ground, almost always with a spectacular view of ocean, cliffs, sea creatures, ships, and Catalina Island within your glance. Reception is quick and professional with a large living room and spirited bar greeting you for cocktails and tales with fellow travelers. The rooms are well appointed with deeply comfy beds, plenty of light, and doors to outdoor breezes. The property offers a surprisingly diverse and fantastic set of restaurants; we ve eaten and drank at them all, and they were all great experiences there is no need to leave the property to stay well satisfied with food and drinks. The spa is at the top of the class with great staff and luxury facilities, especially the outstanding spa pool we spent a who afternoon laying in a couple s pool bed, shaded by umbrellas, looking out over the ocean, enjoying the breezes and people, and sipping on cocktails. The property offers pages of interesting activities and access to miles of trails with cliffside and cove wanderings. The feel of the resort is classy but casual with an eye on relaxation. I rate the value as very good; the resort offerings are on the expensive side but the costs all seemed worthy of the experience, hitting that sweet spot for accessibility by a wide variety of clientele. This has become a new favorite destination for us; I hope the resort management continue their formula for this wonderful experience. My highest recommendation for a resort experience.

This was my first time to this resort and I didn't know what to think. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and even given a glass of champagne. We were upsold to a villa, but frankly was worth every penny. We are at the Chinese restaurant, down by the ocean and also ate at the conference. The food was amazing each time. The help and wait staff were amazing and attended to our every need. Final night we had a celebrity buy us drinks. Could not have asked for a better experience!

Simply magical! It's paradise, once you get here you won't want to leave. Location, friendly staff, warm sunny weather. It's the perfect package. I was lucky enough to be at the Terranea Resort for a business conference and I enjoyed every minute of it. Would love to come back if given the chance.

Great place to walk or hike the area but be sure the restaurant's don't have any special engagements

I love this place. I have visited their spa now twice and stayed once in the hotel. All restaurants are good. I drive 1 hour each way to enjoy this wonderful place!
