Very cool and interactive and beautiful aesthetica...
Very cool and interactive and beautiful aesthetically. Very educational
Very cool and interactive and beautiful aesthetically. Very educational
Enjoyed the exhibits that were open! Several exhibits appeared to be seasonal and empty while others had portions closed for repairs. The best section had to have been the outside area! Tons of fun and an actual chance for kids to climb and enjoy themselves!
I really wish the dome theater played later show times. And that the parking didn't expire at 5pm, well before the facility closes. Otherwise, it was a good time!
Great interactive place for kids. Wish there was more science, by which I mean written facts on the walls or displays, for those who want to learn more while there.
It was a great way to spend an afternoon with my son. Fire show was great! Worth going once in a while. They're could be more things to do, needs investment!
1st time visit any even though it was busy, you didn't need to wait long at stations.
Nice place to go with kids, but the service in Cafe need improvement.
Very nice science park. Totally worth the money spent. We spent a whole day and kids loves it
This is one of Calgary science centre which need to be introduced to kids at early age. Go for annual Green membership and its worth along with yearly prepaid parking. Kids of age 4+ will definitely enjoy and have something to learn. Everytime you go you get to see different experiments demo.
Not what we expected compare to some other scenice center it's not bad but not good value
Positive experience for kids. Would repeat annually
Really cool body world's exhibit it's a must see great time with the kids
We went on Adults only night and really enjoyed it.
Great place to take toddler who loves science. Bit on the pricey side but membership worth it if live close
It's a wonderful place to bring kids and there is such a huge variety of activities and things to see. It is just too bad that it is open for so few hours (10-4). My daughter naps in the middle of the day so it really limits when we can go or for how long
Fun and educational place for both kids and adults.
Lots to do. I was a little unsure when I walked in, but once we started exploring we didn't want to leave. I had a 5 year old and 3 year old who were both thoroughly entertained and occupied the whole time we were there.
It's great, and nice to see different themes. But the stations are starting to get a wee bit run down. They are either broken, or just plain out worn out. There isn't a ton of things to do with kids under the age of 5. Overall it was still a nice experience. Just a once a year thing.
Had a good time. Could use more interactive displays
The creative kid centre is very cool but everything else is really disappointing. $69 plus $5 for parking for my husband, two kids (aged 2 and 4) and myself for a couple hours in a so-so science centre and a terrible movie (Dorian's Wish) that wasn't really even a movie is just too much for this place.
Fantastic facility, tons to do for all ages and lots to learn about in fun and interactive ways. Great playground!
It kept my young boys entertained. The cafateria kids menu is a little over priced
Over priced, average exhibitions compared to the old Science center downtown, and appeals to short attention spans with all the bright lights and shiny exhibitions. For the size of the center you would expect to see a lot of different exhibits but it just seems to be empty and void of anything interesting that couldn't be simply searched on Wikipedia.
A bit disappointing that they have allowed the facility and exhibits to fall into the disrepair they are now in. The entire outfit needs a bit of TLC before I can justify spending $100 (family of 4) + parking on this (moderately disappointing) experience again
Fabulous exhibits and features that change throughout the year. Big on interactivity and repeat visits. Interesting live shows that are exciting for a wide audience. Great playground outside. Well worth a yearly pass. Best to check if there are school trips attending ahead of time if you wish to skip the crowds.
Went I one of the monthly (second Thursday, I think?) Adults Only night. Had a great time
Very fun, and interactive! Staff were very nice and welcoming! This is my second time visiting. Would come again!
I came on one of those adult-only nights. It was nice to have a quiet evening with my friends here and explore the Science Centre. However, it is definitely geared towards children and they didn't make any additional efforts to make it more adult-friendly, which was quite disappointing. I think if you are going to call it an adult-only evening, you should have activities that are more age-appropriate. Otherwise, you should just call it "kids-free evening".
The display was small but interesting...we expected more for the money
Any age this is perfect. Have a nerdy date? Take them here. Have friends in town? Take them here. I love this place.
Star Trek Experience - If your a kid of 12 years or under sure go, you wont know, but adults will be extremely disappointed. Walls and displays were soo cheap and terrible. Display tech and graphics from the 80's not intuitive . The Maru was terrible and the actors employed on the displays looked garbage in make up. Did any of the production crew go to the Vegas one open in 1999 to 2008, because that is how it was done. This is a disgrace to Star Trek.
Kind of boring and did not have a lot of exhibits... The old one was a lot better
Really great place to take kids. Worth the price. Only down side. Food is very pricey. Not very good. Very little food for the price. You should pack a lunch. A drink is min $3. Up to $7. And not much choice.
Body Worlds exhibit was fantastic though staff doing engagement were not as good as usual. Regular staple exhibits good as always though with so many hands on exhibits and high traffic I question how often surfaces are sanitized?
Have been on my own with adults, with kids, with school trips and for their sleepover. About 40% of the time its a 5 star experience, 60% its a 4 star experience. The dome show is always fantastic!
We attended as part of the Telus Sparks Valentine activity, it was fun to be with people our own age and to see the different exhibits on display.
This is a place for all ages. Sensory toys and activities for infants, toddler playground, and tons of school age discovery activities. Adults will also have a feat for there are a lot of things new to discover. Enhance creativity with the workshops. Watch presentations at the Dome (really really cool by the way!) and prepare to be amazed with the science experiments. The membership is worth it as there are new things and exhibits added every now and then. Though you still have to purchase a parking pass.
It's a great place for my 5-year old boy and his friends. They just love there and only leave when it is closed.
They really enjoyed the creative kid center, just besides the entrance. Besides that, the other areas provide fun activities. They played the gear, pipe, wind, even electricity. For me, I can find something I like.
I recommended this to several friends, most of them bought the pass and they all agree their kids had a wonderful time in there.
Daughter had fun here. However, this location is missing a lot of the activities and variety of exhibits that the B.C. Science World has. It was still fun for our 5-year old though! Hahahahaha
Helpful staff, great exhibits and amazing food in the Cafe.
The telus world of science in edmonton has much more to do.
The star trek Academy was awesome for all ages, the rest of the place is very interactive and great for kids, though it left a little to be desired for adults. Beautiful facility
This place is seriously fun. We come here often for our little kid to play and it is fantastic. Tonight I had the pleasure to attend one of their Adult Nights; I really recommend it. An evening with a cocktail exploring fun science exhibits it a great Idea. The 'grown up' experiments and information were well thought out; any age would have fun watching things be smashed while frozen from liquid nitrogen. I am really looking forward to coming again.
Great afternoon spent with the daughter on a PD day! Who says you can't get a education on a PD day, not this Dad!
Great place all around. Kids had a blast and the staff are amazing. The one issue is the done theater. HD? Not so much and the information in regards to many things was incorrect. (Solar system) all in all great place to take the family jam but as far as I'm concerned, skip the solar system "HD" show.
This science centre has great facilities but lackluster exhibits most of the time. It is very geared towards younger kids and from that perspective it is great. But it has a crummy cafeteria, and overall just doesn't quite compare to similar places in other Canadian cities.
My kids always have a ton of fun here! And it's fun for us adults too! 10/10 recommend!
Good place to visit to learn and play. But staff is a bit mean
What a fun place to spend the day for the whole family. With lots of hands on exhibits, demonstrations and both indoor and outdoor things to explore! Plenty of places to sit and snack or just take a break from all the cool science!
So much interaction for a young child, hands on fun
Super rad place to spend time with your family. Crazy affordable too!
It's ok. Maybe it's because my toddler's too young (3 yr old), but she didn't really have as much fun as I expected. We've been to other science center and there were more things for her to do there (bubbles, water, sand, etc.). This Spark has only one area appropriate for her, and it has some water and activities for her, but not enough to stay 2 hours nor warrant the admission price for two.
The food in the food court was outrageously expensive. $11-$13 for a mac and cheese? I know the food prices in these places are inflated, but that's ridiculous.
It is very fun for both the parents and their children.
Really great place for kids to explore and play. Outside is a lot of fun; especially "The Junkyard". It is only for kids, which I think is fantastic. The employees are amazing with kids. Always willing to listen and help when need.
Great fun. More aimed at kids but still interesting. Star Trek was brilliant.
Nice place to bring in kids and share/ enthuse scientific temper. The hands on multiple activities centre is very good.
It has one of the largest dome screen and we could get a wonderful experience of seeing a couple of great films.
The ticketing is bit expensive.
They close fairly early. I believe 3pm during the week which is inconvenient but non the less Really awesome exhibits. lots to learn super interactive and guiding.
Thought it would be terrible for a toddler but the young child play room is amazing!!! loved the play structure!!!
Having lived in several cities with science centers, this one is OK
Very nice centre, lots of interactive exhibits. Alberta is so very lucky to have both Sparks in Calgary and Telus World of Science in Edmonton. Both are world class.
This place is fantastic, theres a small kids area perfect for people under 5, theres several live science shows a day, the dome show is now included in the price of admission.
Telus really needs to work on their presentation. Video is an important quotient to sound. While I appreciated their effort for Christmas 2020, a twenty dollar ticket is pretty steep for the level of effort I saw. The story time portion of the Christmas event was poorly orchestrated.
My partner and I went for an adult-only night and to be completely honest, we were left unimpressed. The ability to drink aside, pretty much everything you could have done would have been available on a regular night for cheaper. While it s quite big, I preferred other science centres I ve been to. I d still do it again for the first time, just probably won t be back very often.
Inspirational and interactive. My kids have loved it for 4 years. They ask to go every weekend. Yearly membership is the best way to go.
While it was super interesting the exhibit itself was very small and we felt not worth the 50 bucks for the two of us to go in
So much to do. Incredible way to spend the day with family. You'll be surprised how much you will learn.
