Super fun place to take the kids and learn. Knowledge is power
So many fun things to do! The kids had a blast learning about how water flows and erodes the earth, seeing gears in action, playing music with light, and zapping themselves! At the end there was a bottle rocket demonstration with liquid nitrogen. Would definitely go again!
Love this place. If you have a toddler and are tired, this place is your best friend. Let them run and be free. There is a lot to do for little kids in the first two areas and then the other areas are for older kids but there is still stuff for them to get into and have fun. Right now a lot of hands-on stuff is closed for the pandemic but usually it is very interactive for young kids.
There is also an entire outside area to play which I have not been to yet.
Food is okay, nothing special but lots to choose from.
A membership is $75/adult for the entire year and kids under three are free.
Telus spark always has interesting and interactive learning centres.
Our kids love the science center. We have passes and they get well used. The staff here try to make it very fun and engaging for the kids and adults.
Everything compared to the old location is worse, except for the architecture. Nothing worked properly. My kids simply did not have a good time, nor did they learn anything. The parking and entry prices are absolutely ridiculous. I would understand the high prices if the content was worth it, it sure wasn't...... The food was revolting!
Great for kids, and pretty intersting for adults as well.
Entry is a bit pricey, but great interactive displays and lots of cool "Science stuff"
Only ever go on adults night but they do a really great job of gearing it towards adults. Always something fun new and interesting!
Lots of space, but not a lot of unique activities. Adults Only Night is great since they bring in a wide variety of collaborators to help keep guests interested. Overall, lots of interactive stations, but I feel like a lot of them are lacking the science that makes you say "wow" and keep you coming back.
The most fun! Adult-only Thursday nights are an excellent option for folks living the child-free lifestyle. Mixing science, great music, and booze is a formula for fun!
Lots of great, hands-on activities for young, and young at heart Come prepared for a FULL day of fun and learning. The best weekday to come, if you want to avoid school field trips, is Friday.
The movies shown in the dome were incredible to behold! Very educational and thought provoking. Seats reclined slightly for a better view of the whole dome. (Sit at the top of the theatre for a more enjoyable view.)
This is a pretty fun spot to take the kids! I like the fact that it is completely Hands-On and whether you have little children or older there is something for everyone! I will have to say it was a bit crazy busy but I suppose if it's a cold weather day it is a nice place to get the kids inside but stay busy.
This place was a LOAD of fun for my 3.5 & 7 year old kids (and my fiance and I, too!)! Definitely recommend taking your kids here on a roadtrip.
Adult night needs a bit more things for adults.
The Spark is nice though.
I don't know why we came back today for the solar eclipse party. The admission is way too high anyways for a stale, overhyped experience and today was worse than usual.
They had 2 telescopes that people could look through for 3000 people or so, lineups were crazy long and the people throughout lousy organized.
We have been to many science centres around the globe with the kids and Telus is one of the worst ones, just a ripoff.
If you want to see a top notch science Center, go to Odysseum in cologne, Germany, that's how you do it.
Don't go to Telus , unless you enjoy wasting 70$ plus 5$ parking for a second or third tier attraction.
You really need to do some changes there's a couple of games out of order and the old stuff needs to be changed or get something new beside it
Most exhibits need maintenence. The exhibits that did work weren't overly fun. Find something else to do.
An amazing place to take kids during the weekend. Show and tell kids what science is all about and how it keeps advancing.
I want to start off by saying that the over all experience of telus spark was ok.
You pay for parking if that doesn't already piss you off.. come in and get over charged at the desk.. atleast the staff was friendly the place was clean and kids learned in the science center and these are the ONLY reason for the star.
AS A SUGGESTION:guys introduce a stamp system do you realize how stupid it is to get calls during a dome show because the family is not allowed back into the science center? Family's dont always stick together and people need to be either recognized or checked without the need of paper tickets it's almost the end of 2018.
**** Dome experience was ok. The entrence fee covers you for all movies they played. BUT ...
INTERACTIVE DOME EXPERIENCE is a waste of money and very annoying. I came to check out the dome my kids are annoyed by some person rambling on and on like we are in the 70s.. guys.. record your parts and let the people enjoy the dome. Secondly.. turn up the sound. Sitting in the right location in the dome theater matters some locations I had no issues but other times you wonder what is being said in the video. Over all compared to some Edmonton dome experiences this dome had 1 good movie (outer space related) and even that I would say was ok at best.
**Your video about extreme weather is not converted properly and you can see it clearly at times at the far right and left of the screen. When I told the person working there he responded with "I cant do much about it". (His response is fair I get it but calm down buddy and take a breather I am not telling you to fix it. I am simply trying to bring It to your attention. Whoever is in charge should take a look themselves.)
***Food selection SUCKS the cafeteria takes hours to prepare food. Atleast it's hot and fresh.. but if you dont want to wait and pay ridiculous prices, Bring your own food, Kids get hungry and just the over all selection sucks.
Ive been a few times but it really sadens me that they didn't follow the same style of science museum design like edmonton has. The new method of teaching science here makes for a really bad and boring experience. The travelling shows that mKe the rounds are good.
A place that we visit one a year. Very informative. Lots of activities for the kids to do and learn from. We visited inside out exhibition which we found to be very cool. Love the food court and gift shop. Highly recommended.
Very entertaining and informative, for adults and children. Excellent cafeteria and other services.
Came here for the adult night and it was really fun while still being educational! The staff are really friendly and helpful. The exhibits are interesting and when there's no kids around you can actually try out stuff!
This place is pretty great for the family. The smaller kids love the creative kids museum and especially the play structure. This place is often crazy busy with tons of kids enjoying the activities. Lots of other cool stuff within for the older kids to explore. They do some cool demonstrations in the atrium. The bed of nails is also pretty cool. Well worth checking out, but not a cheap day out. Also, the food is good, but very expensive for what you get. Lunch for the family was $65.
An excellent science centre! Great areas for even the littlest kids.
Fantastic place to go with the family, with friends, or on a date. A wide array of things to do and see, great food at the eatery which is reasonably priced, and most things are very kid friendly.
Great day trip with the family. We deeply enjoyed the exhibition
There is so much to learn and do. And if u like "hands on" learning the it's the right place for you
Great place for kids of all ages to discover and explore.
As owner of A Laptop Shoppe i am not impressed ,It's a typical science center, exhibits are well done, not as maintained as they should be.I find price vs value is high. If price isn't a concern it's a good way to spend a couple hours with the family, and the zoo is next door.
The travelling exhibits, Star Trek experience etc are very cool. The permanent exhibits are appropriate for children and are specific for Alberta, if a little bit small.
I visited 2 years ago and was not impressed. However, over the last two years they have made significant improvements. The movies are amazing, and you can lose yourself in the exhibits for several hours. It is a very educational mid day visit.
It is such a fun place to take the kids. However, they need to fix a lot of their exhibits as many are broken or not working as well as they probably once did.
Overpriced and lots of things broken or with no supplies (or all supplies being used). My three-year old hung out in the kids area for about 45 minutes and was done. The rest of the areas didn't capture her. The dinosaur exhibit had lots of reading and the din sours didn't work. What a waste of money and time. Miss the old place.
Unlike the previous science center there are very few changes made at this location. there's one hall that has an exhibition that changes every few months but other than that it's always the same. The theater is no where nearly as affordable as the previous science center and the kids are is much smaller and less entertaining.
Fantastic place!!! Brought my 4 year old niece for a visit, her favorite part was the water area with the little stones to show how rivers are formed.
Went with a youth and found that it would have been better in a larger group or with younger kids.
Went for an event it was nice the venue is very nicely played out
Don't waste your hard earned money. Instead, and when you're in Regina, visit the Saskatchewan Science Center .
We had a great day here with the school. The staff was very knowledgeable and engaging with the grade 8
Really good place to help your children learn, but is an excellent place to help you learn as well. Big and interactive, as well as fun for the whole family
Great venue for families. Exhibits and stations are good educational tools for children in elementary school. Centrally located and the dome is a must see! My only issue was with customer service during check in. I brought in a large group and the staff member working the cashier, Pamela, came off as very rude and unaccomodating. I tried to make things as easy as I could to meet both our needs since some people in our group hadn't arrived, but she gave the impression it was her way or the highway. It put me in a bad mood, but I was with a large group of several families with children I decided not to call her out on her behaviour. I am just left thinking - how does someone like that work with families as the first point of contact for a business? Maybe she was having an off day, but I didn't appreciate the way I was spoken to or her body language.
Kids have good time here. Body world exhibit is pretty neat. We enjoy the dome shows and the exhibits upstairs(currently closed).
We had an awesome experience and adventure during the VIP Star Trek evening. Thanks for hosting this exhibit. It was well worth the trip down in a snow storm on a cold and wintery night to participate.
We went to the 50th anniversary Moon landing party but the evening did not live up to our (and their) expectations and standards however, hats off to the staff and management at Telus Spark as they went above and beyond to recover the situation. Class act !
Great attraction for families! Some very interesting exhibits as well as an outdoor playground
Great time our son loved the creative and outside area
Would recommend for school age children and up. There's a lot to see, do and learn.
It was smaller than expected. Kid driven, but fun for adults
Dull. Literally nothing memorable, good, or bad about our visit. Went during the circus event, far from exciting or entertaining but kids were amused. Aside from that... all the other standard science like things were informative but not much fun. Should have taken the $100 and went to the zoo again. Sorry Telus.
Was amazing so much stuff to do and multiple new exhibits are constantly coming
Smaller than other city's science centres but an amazing spot to take the kids for entertainment. Plus they have some great creative events. Well worth a membership with free parking.
The exhibit about animals and their insides was extraordinary. Other than the sound and light station, I was not particularly impressed with the other exhibits and displays.
Great place to spend a date. Cool place to learn stuff.
Circus was so much fun for the kids!! Always a great trip.
My 1 year old son really enjoyed playing here will go back again
Good stuff for kids. Different and good experience. Bunch of activities to do. fun place. Cafeteria food is very poor quality but you can carry your own. They have microwave there.
Great place for toddlers and even infants to run around and do things.
Nice place, lots of things to watch. But I gave 3 star bcoz they are too expansive and need to pay for parking as well. Just entry fee is $26, show and other ticket separate. kids free only under 3, and kids tickets are start from $20. parking minimum $10 for few hours. if u have a big family u need to pay huge money. Otherwise enjoyable and lots of fun.
Great place for the entire family. Go for a short visit or star for the day. There are plenty of amazing things to do for kids of ALL ages even those especially old kids who work all week long.
Good exhibits, but bring your own food. After waiting for an hour for some simple food orders and not seeing our ticket on the pickup line, I asked for a refund as the wait was getting way too long.
There for the limited star trek exhibit! Very nice and well put on, a few bugs in some if the interactive things and a little short but some cool things to see and a must if you are a star trek fan!
Very interactive and fun for kids of all ages. Wish there were diaper changing tables in all of the washrooms.
Expensive and displays don't change as often as I would like. Awesome gift shop.
The Star Trek exhibit was great, but other than that it isn't super exciting. Mostly geared towards kids, so it's a good choice if you have kids. Otherwise, prepare to mostly watch kids play with things because you likely won't get a chance to do the interactive activities.
Amazing! So many things to see and interact with. Love the giant balloon doggo.
We had a great time at the Telus Spark Center. Unfortunately the pricing is out of this world. They must think we all work for the city or the oil fields.
What a wonderful place to spend with your afternoon. There's something for everyone. I love the interactive studios, movies, exhibits and live performances. It's a Fantastic way to break away from all the screen time your kids spend looking like little zombies. Telus Sparks is education in motion. I just "feel" smarter walking out of there each time I visit this place.
Great for kids. And educational. I thought my Daugher (2 years old) would be scared of the animal exhibit, but she wanted to see it multiple times.
Absolutely loved the Sparkle Sparkle event! Way shorter than I expected (less than an hour to see it all) but there was interactive stuff throughout which made it really fun! Everyone was spaced out too which made it that much more comfortable.
