After meeting with and getting quotes from 10+ roofing companies, I decided to go with Tekline. About a month after I bought my house, I noticed a water spot on my living room ceiling. I needed a new roof for my peace of mind. I met with CJ to go over the estimate, what was involved/covered and financing options. He was very professional, polite and answered all my questions (even after our initial meeting). I didn't feel pressured or rushed at any time (unlike with some other roofing companies). When we finalized the paperwork, it was a couple weeks before the job actually started. Victor and his crew were AMAZING! They started on a Monday morning, before any of the actual supplies arrived, and I had a finished roof Tuesday by 2pm. Victor answered my questions, they cleaned up thoroughly and made sure I was happy when they were done. They worked through a bit of rain towards the end even. The roof looks amazing and I now don't have to worry at all about leaks. I would definitely recommend Tekline!

We just had Tekline Roofing do a metal roof for us and were very, very pleased with their considerate crew and the finished roof. Norm was our sales contact and easy to work with. Metal was about 1 and a half more $$ than composite for our roof (we've got some complicated parts). It made the solar easier to install and we won't have to re-roof when we're 20something years older and less able to deal with construction decisions.

I waited to do this review until after a couple of storms: metal isn't any noisier than our composite roof was. The new roof dealt with the wind gusts and rain downpours just fine. We chose white to help correct the urban heat island effect. There may be a small rebate but even if there isn't, it helps the community and looks good with our colors. Consider a light colored roof if you can.

The project timing could hardly have been worse. After squandering beautiful, long, autumn days, the late roofing selection was made requiring controlled thermal and moisture conditions.
But, as soon as they could arrive, Tha and the Duradek installation crew came for this unusual specialty. Tha's gang worked long days to dry in the addition, and to enable the Owners to move back home ahead of schedule.
I so appreciate efforts of the entire Tekline team! But, I especially savor memories of Tha, hard at work on his craft! So much so, that a photo of Tha and his helper placing Duradek still enlivens my telephone screen.

I was both surprised and impressed by the courtesy & professionalism of Tek-Line Roofing! They were completely organized and on time and everything happened just as promised! The hard working team even finished earlier than expected and left the site spotlessly clean! The new roof and gutters (they have many colors to choose from at no extra cost!!) looks amazing--we went with CertainTeed Presidential Shake (double layer) to replace our aging Cedar Shake Roof and it came out even better than I could have hoped. I had my metal roof and new gutters installed in July 2018 and overall I am still happy with having it. The workmanship and installation for the roof was superb and the work crew were very professional yet courteous; unfortunately I can't say the same for the new gutters. Six months after the installation, we had the massive winter storm and the gutter at the front of the house fell onto the front lawn while the back gutters were all drooping down. I spoke with Greg the sales person and he was going to do me a "favor" by reaching out to the gutter folks to get me a reduced price for replacement! I felt there should have been warranty since it has only been six months! I spoke with Scott, the manager and he was willing to have the front gutters replaced and back gutters repaired for me. I learned that snow will slide down a metal roof quickly hence the weight will bring down the gutters. If I would have known this I would have thought twice about getting a metal roof OR alternative is not to install gutters. Roofing service is superb with Tekline but my follow on experience with Greg wasn't as stellar as he apparently complained to Scott that I was shouting at him during repeated poor cell reception and dropped calls.

From the first outreach on Yelp to the finishing touches, Tekline provided a 5+ star service.

In a recent Seattle windstorm I had the misfortune of having a few short rows of shingles blow off my 24 year old roof. I used Yelp to reach out to at least 5 highly-ranked roofing companies. Within 10 mins, Scott the owner reached out and offered the contact information for the office to reach out first thing in the morning. It took at least 2 days for the others to respond and one of them didn't even respond.

The next morning I called the office and since I was heading out of town for the next week, she offered to send someone over that afternoon. Greg showed right on time and inspected the roof. He indicated that the area that had blown off had already been repaired once before since it has held in with nails vs staples for the rest of the roof. He offered up two contacts for other repair companies that could patch it up. But given the roof was 24 years old and it was unclear if the patch would even work elected to get a quote on a full replace. Within about 15 mins Greg came back with a quote. I contacted my neighbor who had his roof (same layout) replaced last year and the Tekline quote was within 10% of what he paid. After sleeping on it and a bit of negotiation, I signed with Tekline without getting any other estimates. That afternoon while I was out-of-town a crew showed up to secure a tarp to the roof to ensure there would be no leaks before they could start the replace.

The following Monday, the crew of at least 5 guys showed up right on time and got immediately to work. By the end of the day (sunset at 4:30) they had the old roof completely removed and the first protective layer applied. By the end of day 2, I was told the roof was complete - incredible. However when I got home from work, before pulling into the driveway I checked for nails/staples and found a few. So was a bit worried they didn't do a proper clean up. However the guys showed up again on day 3 to do a complete clean up -- Suggestion for Tekline to not indicate the roof is "done" until clean up is complete.

Bonus: During the installation, some paint got scrapped off my front porch step and it looked pretty bad. I pointed it out to Scott and he committed to repairing/repainting. Within a week he sent someone to completely sand, dry out, and repaint the step with an identical color.

If you need roofing work - I would highly recommend getting an estimate from Tekline.

Added two 4x4 skylights to our home. Tekline cushed it! They had to reinforce the roofing in order to cut out such a large area. Everything was done professionally and quickly. 10/10 recommend

I needed a total roof replacement due to leaky older roof.
I learned about Tekline from a friend who had used them.

Their estimator, CJ, came the very next day after I called, and was knowledgable and answered all my questions. Their bid was not the lowest of the 3 bids I received, but it was competitive and I liked their explanation of the work they would do and attention to detail.
They even came out the same day as I received my bid to put a tarp over the leaky areas until they could start the roof replacement.
There was one small delay getting started but one call to their office got a prompt response, an explanation for the delay, and the crew was on the job the next day.

Victor, the crew leader, kept me current on the progress, and the entire crew was professional, hard working and did a good job cleaning up afterwards.
They discovered some dry rot in the wood underlayment, explained what they were doing to repair that damage, and the time/materials charged for this extra work was very reasonable.

But what really impressed me was how involved the owner, Scott is throughout the entire job. He reviewed the bid, was involved in some changes to the original bid to provide more effective venting, and then came to my house after the job was complete to make sure I was happy with their work.
I see that there are many 5 star reviews for Tekline, and I am happy to add my 5 star review
to that list. I couldn't ask for a better roofing company to trust my home with.

I hired this company after a bad experience with another roofer. Tekine just finished up today and they definitely deserve the straight A rating on Angie's List. It blows my mind that a contractor can be this great. What makes Tekline stand out is that they do NOT cut any corners. Everything was done to perfection. At the beginning I did not know this. I monitored their work carefully and was generally suspicious. I wanted to make sure I got a quality product, especially for something as important as the roof. Now, I would hire this company in a heartbeat and then go on vacation. I have that much trust in them now. Scott who is the owner is just a really nice guy. He is always available by phone and text, checks on the progress and kept me informed. He conducted himself with a lot of honesty and integrity with no sign of any shadiness we've all heard about with some contractors. He just struck me as somebody I can trust, period. He coordinated the entire project with two leads (Tha for carpentry) and (Rafa for the metal roof install). I got to know both Tha and Rafa and their crew. They are both very very skilled and very easy to get along with and really nice guys. Some of the things they did just amazed me and my wife. They were so patient with the nervous and suspicious homeowner (me) with so many questions and reminders to do this or that, etc. If I were them I would have lost patience with me. Despite my constant interfering with reminders, they did an incredible job. I have a lot of respect for all of them. I think everyone should experience a contractor like Tekline. I mean they are all really nice guys who are really skilled. In my 20 years at my house with numerous contractors doing various things, I've never once had such a positive experience and then at the end feel so great about the finished product. I told Scott today that I would gladly be a reference. He didn't ask me. I volunteered. I generally don't want to be bothered. But I really appreciate the work these guys have done

Best overall experience in 12 years of large and small home repair projects. I have no complaints.

Very happy with the customer service and the roof installation. Specifically we only wanted a roofing company that had been in business for at least 15 years, had staff dedicated to customer service, and provide the carpenters to finish any detail work that needed to be completed. We wanted a company that is going to be able to back up the warranties they provide. They had excellent communication and their roofers were very respectful of our property and family going in and out of the home.

Me and my wife had just bought our house a few months earlier and we had started loosing shingles and knew about some soft spots in some areas of the roof. Robert from Tekline came out and did a full inspection of a the roof and provided a estimate the same day. He also let me know about some other issues I was having with my attic ventilation that would have to be fixed to prolong the life of my roof. Compared to the other companies that we worked with, Tekline provided the best materials for the best price, was the most prompt, and didn't pressure us into during the quote process. Finally the team that Tekline sent out for the job, came out early and stayed late to get the job done, and they finished in about 1.5 days.

Highly recommend Tekline. They re-roofed our home and delivered exactly what they promised. The work was done on time (over one weekend) and on budget. Tekline Roofing has completed two roofing projects for me and I highly recommend them. The first project was for a commercial building which involved redesigning the roof line and structure, followed by installation of a high quality, long lasting PVC coating material. Just a quick recommendation for Tekline Roofing. They just completed a job on our house a week ago and did a fantastic job from start to finish. Norm, their sales representative was responsive, informative and thoughtful. He came out right away, got us a quote and sat down in person to walk us through the details. The on-site crew were talented and conscientious. They worked quickly (finished in 3 days) and were careful with our premises and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. At the end of it all, there were a few minor adjustments that were needed and they addressed them immediately. We just finished working with Tekline Roofing to have a new roof put on our old house in Seattle. Our roof was steep with many angles to it and not an easy job. Norm, the estimator, was the first person onsite and was professional, knowledgeable and helpful from the beginning. Aly, from the office, reached out and kept us up to date and informed during the process, was helpful when a question arose and a great communicator. The crew, lead by Mizuel, was hardworking, organized, professional and did an excellent installation. Mizuel was so great to work with. During the day it looked like a tornado with shingles and old material being removed but at the end of each day everything was cleaned up and you could barely tell we were under construction. They took care to not damage any plants and protected our windows. Mizuel kept us up to date on what was happening, had the team well organized and ensured we knew what was happening each day.

My wife and I recently replaced our old, two-layer, composition roof. We obtained estimates from a number of roofing businesses. Our primary criteria has always been Quality - over cost and schedule. We chose Tek-Line Roofing.

The work took two and a half days. The Crew were professional, consistent and knowledgeable. We asked several questions and also asked for their guidance when we weren't sure about something. They were always very helpful throughout the process. Also, the clean-up at the end of each day around the entire house was excellent.

Great team of workers who did a timely roofing job. Roof was completed as specified, on time and on budget. The crew did a great job of keeping me informed as the project progressed and cleaned up each evening. Job site was spotless.

we had a low-pitched roof section and a flat roof section. We had chosen IB products. Teckline removed the torchdown and repaired parts of the roof. The installation of IB products and insulation went very well, quickly and efficiently.

The responsiveness, support and service from Tekline was amazing. My estimator was Chris, and he came out initially and again when our insurance adjuster came on-site to do their inspection. Very supportive. I would recommend this company to family, friends and neighbors without any reservations whatsoever. When we move and build our new place, these guys will be our roofing contractors. It is so hard to find credible construction contractors these days. Tekline demonstrated excellence all around.

I got three roofing bids and TekLine was right in the middle. They weren't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but they paid attention to detail in ways that set them ahead and apart from the other well-reviewed roofing companies who bid on my project.

TekLine were consummate professionals from start to finish. The estimator, Norm, took lots of photos and prepared a printed proposal immediately and showed me all the problems with my roof and flashing that I couldn't see. He pointed out areas where re-roofing could lead to other improvements, such as replacing ugly and poorly functioning side vents in the roof with a better-looking and better-functioning ridge vent. He pointed out several areas where the original builder didn't flash the house gable overhangs, and he incorporated that extra flashing improvement into my project.

The entire roof was replaced in two days and then it took another week for a few minor tidy-ups to be completed (a couple pieces of broken siding replaced, gutter guards installed, re-routing of three gutters). We had to wait about 6 weeks to get on their schedule in mid-September 2016.

We put in Certainteed Landmark TL (~35 year roof) and are very happy with the crew's cleanliness, professionalism, and workmanship. I would not hesitate to use TekLine or recommend them to anyone else. No nails were shot through the eaves and and I've only found minor traces of debris - nice work!

Tekline was great throughout the process. The quote was significantly less than a competing company. The work crew did a great job communicating with us and minimizing the impact of their work. The roof looks great. And when the owner came by to pick up the final payment after the work was done, the first thing he said was that he noticed a minor issue with our gutters and that he'd send a crew out to take care of it. We chose Tekline to install a standing seam metal roof on our home. The workers took great care in their work and we are really pleased with the results. The job took about a week and they cleaned up at the end of every day making the area around our home neat, and as safe as possible. After completion the owner stopped out to look at the job and say thanks. This is a quality company and it shows!

I highly recommend Techline Roofing for anyone who wants a quality roof. They were not the lowest bid nor were they the highest but I went with them because they responded quickly to my calls and because they seemed to really care that I got a top notch roof on my home.
I purchased my home about a year ago and the previous owners had installed a "new" roof just months before i bought it. The job was poorly done and within a year, my roof was leaking and there was already rot in some areas of the underlying plywood. Expertise and technical knowledge REALLY matter when it comes to roofing. Don't go with the cheapest bid just because its the cheapest bid. It will only cost more in the long run. Do it right the first time around.
I was updated daily by Robert and his crew. They cleaned up every day and were very respectful and hard working. I was provided photos throughout the process and i received a phone call daily from the office to make sure all my questions and concerns were answered.
No one wants to spend the money to put on a new roof but I am SO GLAD I chose Techline to do it. I now have a peace of mind that it was done right and I can listen to the rain pound my roof without any worries.

We had 2 projects and 2 separate teams for our roof from Tekline. The first group installed a new composite roof on our house before a solar panel installation. They did a great job coordinating with the solar panel installers for the mounting brackets. They had to come back a couple of times to fix some missed sealant locations, scupper flashing and left some work for the next group to finish with the siding they removed for flashing. This caused some price overruns. The second group did a great job installing a flat PVC roof on an upper deck where we had a leak. They worked with us in the details of the surrounding trellis, rails and walls. They also fixed the siding issues from the previous group. They were very careful with keeping everything dry as our dining room was below and it did rain during the install. It ended up being more expensive than we budgeted but in the end it is a good product.

Norm is a very nice person! We ask Tekline for an estimate and Norm come at the time that he supposed to be. After a quick look on our client roof he tell us that the roof is in a perfect condition and it doesn't need to be replaced and the roof is good for the next 20 years.I will definitely recommend this company and I will call them in the future.

I got a bid for $21k+ when everyone else was $15k..WFT? You better get several bids before thinking about this roofer! What a joke! My roof is about 25 sq. all hip cedar shake. I got a big for Certainteed Landmark.

Norm came to our house yesterday to look at our roof. We've had an intermittent leak in our upstairs bathroom. Norm was the third contractor to come out. The first two merely gave us estimates to replace the roof. Norm's first impression of our roof was that it didn't need to be replaced, he then discovered a small hole above our bathroom that was hidden by moss and was the cause of our problem. He said the only charge was a handshake, which I gladly gave him. It is nice to meet honest and knowledgeable folks. I highly recommend Norm and Techline and will definitely call them when my roof needs to be replaced.

Projects like this can be pretty daunting, particularly mine. I had to get an entirely new roof (as in, torn down to the studs) so I was extremely nervous. I asked around on places like Nextdoor and my neighborhood's facebook groups for recommendations. The majority of the responses recommended Tekline.
They were not the lowest bid, but based on my research, I felt like what I was paying for was peace of mind. Both in a sense that the project would be done correctly, but also that the process would go smoothly. Yes, there were some snags. sometimes unexpected problems came up, but that's typical of any major home project. They were great to work with and tried to make the process as easy as possible for me. A bonus, they completed the project within a very reasonable time frame! That was a relief.
It has been 4 months since the roof was installed and as far as I can tell, no problems.

The work crew was fantastic. They arrived on time daily, provided timely updates, and let me know what to expect on the next workday. They were absolutely adherent to Covid guidelines at all times. Expertise and knowledge was clearly demonstrated. From the initial bid to completion of the project I felt absolutely confident in this company.

After a lot of research we decided to go with Tekline to replace our roof, and we were glad that we did! They were very professional, on time and thorough. I highly recommend them!

Tek-Line Construction helped us respond when a major treefall struck our house. They took care of us, soups to nuts. Communication was super. We were informed of what steps to take and how things were going, the whole way. They organized a safe tree-removal and disposal process, tarped the roof, and did a full damage assessment that was shared with our insurance company. When the weather improved, Tek-Line Roofing jumped into action and staged and completed work quickly and cleanly. The Tek-Line Roofing manager on-site sent us photos by text of progress during both days of work. The result was a clean and attractive new roof, safe to the weather. I would highly recommend Tek-Line Roofing to anyone who wants an affordable, straightforward, and quickly completed process.

We used Tekline to replace our aging shingle roof with a metal one. They were professional and easy to work with, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to have their roof replaced.
Positives:
- Easy to schedule a free quote, which was done with an onsite visit (very important to us since our old house had 3-4 layers to remove and knowing that prevented future surprises)
- Quote seemed fair (middle cost of the three quotes we received)
- The roofing team was friendly, had great communication, and worked really efficiently
- We were appraised of any potential changes that came up during the work and how they would change our final price (e.g. did we want to replace all the fascia board, which turned out to be in poor shape)
- Final price aligned with what we had been quoted (plus items we added, of course)
Negatives:
- Scheduling is difficult (though I expect this is true for all contract work, especially during busy summer months), and there was a couple months between signing the contract and having the work done, during which time it wasn't very clear how long we would need to wait. Because it's pandemic 2020 and we weren't going anywhere (and our roof was currently working, anyways), this wasn't a big issue for us. But if you have constraints you might need to be a bit pushier about communicating them
- Scheduling was even weirder for the gutters, which seem to be subcontracted and finally went in several weeks after the roof. After several calls that they couldn't come yet, the gutter folks showed up out of the blue. Again, it's pandemic 2020 and not raining so this wasn't really an issue for us, but it was strange.

Working with Tekline Roofing was a fantastic experience for us! From the first contact, the entire team was responsive, professional and helpful all the way through the project. And our roof looks AMAZING! Tekline has a highly skilled roofing team. The entire process took 3 days start to finish, all the plants are in great shape, and our yard is cleaner than it was before the project started. Highest recommendation.

Every part of this job was done professionally. The workers cleaned up after themselves after each day; the work was done precisely and we were provided with photos. Our old roof had no anchors, which has always concerned me and Tekline installed them so not only were they able to work safely - anyone who gets up there will be safe.
They clearly take real pride in their work - and were such a vast improvement in knowledge and care compared to others who came to bid on the job - that I'm positive I got the best possible job. At the end of the job, the owner of the company, Chris, came to be sure we got a good result. Couldn't recommend them more highly. (And over the years, I've had two bad experiences with prior roofing companies to compare them to, so I feel confident of my opinion)

We chose Tekline Roofing to install a metal roof on our home after a thorough search of roofing companies with experience with metal. Norm was a terrific point person for the estimate process. He provided excellent information for the proposal and was very quick answering our questions and requests for details.

The roofing crew was headed by Caesar with Hector and Raphael providing assistance, and I can tell you that they were an absolute joy to have on the job, very punctual, diligent, communicative, and most of all, excellent craftsmen in their trade. I couldn't have asked for a better team of people to work on our home.

They discovered the source of our previous roofing failure and were quick to explain why it failed and our options for repair. They were diligent in getting the job done quickly and were very careful to make sure it was done correctly. I would hire Tekline and this crew to do another metal roof for us (different house) in an heartbeat.

Every interaction I had with Scott's team was positive and professional. The estimator was well prepared, the crew was great and I particularly appreciated the care they took with my parking deck (which I had just resurfaced), and Scott and his project manager were helpful and responsive throughout the process.

I was a touch skeptical at first .I m a bit cautious of dealing with businesses that hire athletes to advertise I always assume I m paying a premium to cover that. But I can t imagine anyone else doing a better job on my flat roof, and the peace of mind is well worth it. Great job installing new roof on my house. Went from Tile to Presidential TL. Total job was 3 days and the crew left the site clean and in good shape. Scott the owner was very personable and his commitment to customer satisfaction really showed. I had reached out to 4 different roofing contractors in my search. Tekline had the most transparent quote and rather than sell me a new roof they consulted with what I need to consider regarding my tile roof and the decision was made on my end without a hard sell. Everyone on the Tekline team was professional and easy to work with. Our roof was done quickly and spotlessly. Every day the roofers would clean up the yard and all around the house before they left. The cost was very competitive as well.

They do not take short cuts in quality, I watched the entire roofing project and inspected their work on a daily basis after they went home. This is good as it gets!!!

I have used Tekline to replace three roofs in the last five years. Two buildings on our church property, including the main sanctuary and my 3,000 square foot house. They have never exceeded their quote, they are on time and professional. They complete the job quickly and do a good job with clean up. I had one issue where soot had completely covered the inside of the church building. There is no attic and the soot came from the roof underlayment and though cracks in the tongue and groove roof planks. It was an understandable oversight on both parties. Tekline had it cleaned up completely within 48 hours on a Friday night and Saturday and before our Sunday Services at no expense to us. On two of the jobs they also made minor repairs without charging us. The roof repairs that were necessary they got done with minimal charge. With my house I did not even bother with getting a second quote. I know they will do it right and they have competitive prices.

The Tekline team was professional, efficient, and clean. They did excellent work, just as promised, on schedule. Their tin work around the chimney was particularly nice.

This company replaced my roof earlier this month on my Tudor home on Queen Anne. They did a wonderful job.

Other companies took about a week of e mailing to set up the initial visit. I could never reach them by phone. Tekline called me about 10 minutes after I sent the inquiry via their website. The inspector Norm met me a week later to provide the bid and he spent a lot of time explaining the whole re-roofing process to me. Once the project was scheduled, I received daily calls from the company to update me and ask if I had any concerns. The crew that did the job was amazing. I do not think I have seen a people work so hard and so efficiently. Once the job was finished, the owner came out to the property check on the job and thank me for the business. Now, that is a nice touch that you rarely see with contractors in Seattle.

Scotty the owner at Tekline was fantastic from the start, very quick to reply, great communication and follow through. I am used to waiting for people to call me back, Scotty called me right away, sent a guy out that same day to take a look at what supplies would be needed for my leaking skylight. The guys showed up as scheduled, did the job, left things spotless... I give Tekline 5 out of 5 stars! Thank you Scotty and team.

Everyone was super professional from the estimator, project manager, scheduler and crew -- they are an established company with real infrastructure. The estimator put our estimate aside for while -- by mistake -- so it took a while to finalize the estimate. However, he was super professional about the whole thing and apologized, which confirmed they were the right firm. The crew was competent, friendly and made things happen pretty quick. I would use them again, for sure.

Norm and the team at Tekline did a great job on our roof. The project was done on time at a good price. We talked to several roofers, and Tekline made us feel most confident they knew what they were doing and would execute it well. We have a 95 year old stucco house. Our old roof had poor ventilation. The currently completed job on our primary residence is a beautifully finished metal roof. Adrian, Jose and the rest of the crew got the job done a day earlier than predicted which was a plus all around.
