Great gallery with loads of different painting display in a wide range of the British history of Arts. This is a good place to come if you are a artsy person who is interested in art and art from the 16th century s onwards. Furthermore the gallery is located and situated directly on in front of the River Thames, so a great place to have a stroll and walk down. Bus services and Tube stations are in abundance around the area. It is also house, within the local area, a number of small parks and open spaces to head to afterwards.

I had my first visit to the Tate, on Saturday, to see Van Gogh, which is being sponsored by EY, whom I work for, in a humble capacity. I thought the exhibition was excellent: it erred on the side of too much, rather than too little - More

One of my favourite museums. It houses British art. Turner to Hepworth. Lots of sculpture and women artists are well represented, mainly 20th and 21st century. Well located. Nice cafe and restaurant.

Always wondering why the Tate persists in exhibiting contemporary artists when 90% of the main collection isn't on display. Don't they think Tate Modern is already fullfilling the job???
Art curator's visits are usually interesting and a good starting point to discover the 19th century painters and influences.

This has changed so much since last visiting many years ago. The lighting is better for seeing the artwork without having direct light obscuring parts of it. Good facilities and better laid out. Well done

Literally LOVE this place. These days, Tate Britain has special exbition, Van Gogh. If you have any chance to visit during this period, you definitely have to visit this exbition. With Van Gogh s outstanding masterpieces and other great artworks that inspired vincent, this will be unforgettable memories.

Of course, without this special exbition, Tate Britain itself is a marvelous place. I spend almost half day here. It was lovely time to get immersed in numerous masterpieces.

Although Tate Britain is a bit far from the main tourist locations, but I highly recommend visiting everyone who is not indifferent to art. Former prison, and now the largest collection of British art from the XVI century. Here you can see the works of W. Turner, and Francis Bacon, Graham Sutherland and many, many others. Admission is free

Great building with great galleries. The cafe and the members room upstairs is a great place to read or work. When I went the Communal Garden exhibition had just been opened which brought a lot of people to the gallery.

Compared to others I found it uninteresting. little-known artists. And the part of Modena has ugly works. As a museum it is large enough to visit in 2 or 3 hours. If you visit it is not a big deal.

An interesting collection of paintings, mostly well displayed. Some were difficult to see because of glare and siting. I also disagree with some of the explanations and the fact that a series of paintings was hung in the wrong order, with no explanation. The Victorian room would benefit from descriptions. The cafe was clean and had a couple of gluten-free options. There are a reasonable number of toilets and the gallery is provided with maps. The cloakroom is free, but they do request a donation.

The algorithm asks me why do I love tate britain? Because it's one of the great galleries of the world and right on the doorstep! Went to see the blake exhibition. Enjoyed it but would have liked to see a bit more courage shown in exploring his spiritual beliefs.

A wonderful BSL talk about photographer Don Mullins. BSL signer presented the difficult content with due consideration of the audience. My son was very moved and inspired to learn BSL. The photographs by Don Mullins is a stark reminder of the brave job done by war photographers . Such an amazing gallery. Beautiful and the riverside is a bonus. Love going to a gallery that is free to the public as well. Why would you not make the most of Saturday morning there?Wonderful.

Great and free permanent collection plus some wonderful exhibitions that you need to pay for. If you become a member the exhibitions are free and there is also a lovely, if expensive, Members cafe. Book shop is good as well. The Turner collection is very large if you like his work.

Went to the William Blake exhibition which was very crowded but that's only to be expected. Generally well curated and informative. I'll be returning to see more of the museum but two hours of looking is usually enough for me before 'museum back' sets in.

Good disabled access, much better than Tate modern, not only because it's on two floors but lift is hidden so people flow to stairs. Disabled parking on side road Cafe downstairs often crowded and queue/ coffee area a mess. Large gallery spaces.

One of the must see art galleries in London. History of art in the permanent collection and a rotating range of exhibitions in the other wings. Sometimes a load of bollocks, as happens with modern art, but occasionally you'll see someone like Rachel Whiteread and it makes it all worthwhile. Make sure you find one of the free tours running daily if you've never been before, we'll curated and hosted by enthusiastic guides who can help understand the motivation behind these masterpieces.

Went here to see a photograph exhibition. It was pretty good although very busy, so at times you were waiting to see things. Strangely enough you had to book time slots, so I thought that over crowding would have been avoided. Anyway a lovely place, really easy to find right on the Thames embankment
