Unmissable free museum in London. Excellent exhibitions.
Great building filled with amazing art. What's not to like?! Went to see David Hockney exhibition. WOW. And wow again.
Worth a visit. Very interesting art here. Large collections. Take your time. Shop can be expensive... but has lots of nice things.
Went to see Damien Hirst's exhibition at the Tate a while back, the work was really interesting.
Went to Don McCullin exhibition. Amazing to see 60 years of his career photos!
Internationally famous gallery with fantastic permanent collection and top class exhibitions.
Lots of really good art. Not as strange as Tate Modern though thats for sure.
what a wonderful gallery with a marvellous collection! I spent a whole day there wandering and gazing at many of my favourite artists' works, as well as finding some new faves.
Beautiful art gallery, specializing in English painting. Every day they offer several very interesting free guided tours.
So worth the membership! The exhibitions are curated expertly - we go every couple of months. The building is exceptionally beautiful & if you go regularly - the members bar is wonderful. Excellent egg sandwish!! Shop has great selection of books too.
Never understood how art could be geographically delimited
It is light and well organised. The tour guides are great.
Came here for the Mark Leckey film screening. I found it very overpriced and a bit underwhelming. It was unclear that the exhibit was just one room showing a video (so you had to be very quiet...no one walking around etc). Overall a strange experience. But was within a beautiful architectural structure!
Wonderful exhibition of the impressionist plus much more to see.
Always a pleasure, went to see the Art Now exhibition particularly.
Liked the collection, but it needs better air conditioning on hot summer days
Free exhibit, discover Britain's artists true their art, there is painting dates of the 1600 ! Latte is great it is piece of art too!
Sadly it was a very busy day for the Van Gogh exhibition. Mapping hos tome i the UK. Nicely laid out, good to see his work.
On another note. The coffee downstairs in the cafe is small and weak. A real rip off at 2.95. Go elsewhere
Great exhibitions, eadily accessibile. Food is quite expensive.
Would love to be able to go there once a week! So many beautiful paintings!!
Brilliant "All Too Human" exhibition been twice my heart beats faster in anticipation, really well curated and powerful content.
Visited the Edward Bourne-Jones exhibition. Really good, recommend it. Had tea and cakes in the Friends Room. Excellent
Outstanding Display of Impressionist Paintings - Horrible pumpkin soup in the cafe. You took the merry out of my Christmas
A must see for any tourist to the capital. A breathtaking selection of British art in an incredible venue.
Really enjoyed my visit. Just that bit more difficult to find than the Tate Modern but the cafe food was good. I loved the Don McCullin exhibition except that it was extremely busy. Shows that people still want to see good photo journalism.
By far, my favorite of the Tates! The collection of British Art from all periods and styles, is incredible!
Loved the Impressionists exhibition.
The Monets were stunning
Really good, free place and has nice food but bit on the expensive side and knowledgeable staff.
Lots of paintings and some sculptures as well. There as modern art, such as the antique ones. It's definitely worth it to go.
Absolutely awesome, sadly, as I live in Glasgow I can't go every week, if not everyday.
It's very easy to get lost in the art and forget where you are... It's stunning, it's as traveling through time... I loved it!
This was a nice 2 HRS spent wandering around. I m not impressed with modern art , so I did rush through those areas. I hadn t paid for the additional exhibitions so I guess if I had those would have added another hour or so onto my experience. The highlight for my friend was the Turner Collection. It is large and impressive. If you are a Turner fan you ll love it. One downside was that they need to make it clearer which rooms you cannot enter with exhibitions as I just wandered in thinking it was more of the usual gallery and I was very rudely ushered out. That guy could have been a little nicer about it.
the museum is impressive and has a lot to discover. 100% recommended!!
Excellent exhibition of Don McCullin photographs.
Cafe: food ok but manager rude to my friend, saying he was too busy to answer a query! Unfortunate and very off-putting; other staff were friendly and helpful.
One of my favourite museums in London, a must to go
Beautiful and interesting like most London museums.
Don't bother with the William Blake, way to crowded can't see anything properly
Great collections.
Very nice and professional staff, even when very busy.
when i find out that a museum is free, it's a definite chance that i'm going to want to stop by. this museum is well worth an hour or two to stop by and visit. there is all kinds of art and they did have a special exhibit which was paid as well. the staff was nice and helpful when i did ask a couple of questions. if you're debating to visit here or not, i would suggest that you do stop by
Great mother and baby facilities. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent permanent collection and exhibitions. Will be visiting again soon.
Van Gogh blockbusters with some filler from the regular collection. Missed the Colourists.
Great art and very poor and expensive temporary exhibitions.
Brilliant lay out of amazing pieces, huge amounts of work, well worth multiple visits.
Amazing Turner collection, weird modern art forced to go through to see it.
It is able to understand the history of Britain by displayed paintings by period.
I highly recommend this gallery
Great Gallery fabulous pictures in a very interesting building
Great exhibition. Members cafe served very poor good though. Watery quiche and a falafel sandwich that had the filling at the front none at the back. Bread was hard. Expensive too.
Did anyone else see the Mark Leckey and then walk back through the concrete jungle just behind the gallery? I did it at night - very meditative
I liked it except for the pasta at the cafeteria. In this museum it's good to know about British artists.
Went to see the Turner exhibition. Wasn't disappointed
My father and I had a wonderful time seeing the EY Exhibition: Van Gogh and Britain which was also eighteen days ago now on Saturday 13th July.
Every one really every one will find something interesting, recommended
