It is extremely interesting. The permanent exhibition consists of iconic works of British contemporary art. It is known for its periodic reports. At Christmas, the facility at the entrance of the building turns the entire building into an exhibit and includes visitors as part of the venture. Impressive!

Well organized and ready to handle visitors. Went to see a specific exhibit and it was great! Would have enjoyed more Rothco at the exhibit. However those that were part of the collection were large and impactful. Ophelia was a must see as well. Cheers!

Beautiful museum with a lot of interesting pieces of art from amazing painters. It's free and they also have seasonal paid exhibitions (quite expensive). I missed a couple of paintings that were borrowed by an Australian museum.

What a beautiful museum. I wish I could have spent more time here. One of the galleries was particularly stunning. The gift shop is also quite nice.

FYI, there is a quick bag search when you enter the museum.

Not the easiest museum in London to access, but the artwork housed here is excellent. I recently went to the Pre-Raphaelite exhibit, which was packed. The artwork certainly merited it!

I would say that the people who work there are not terribly friendly, but that may have been the consequence of a really packed house on the day I visited.

We are Tate members and love Tate Britain, but this was our first post-COVID visit. We did visit the Andy Warhol exhibition at Tate Modern under COVID-19 conditions so did know what to expect. I was very happy with the level of precaution taken, I felt safe, and have no complaints. I love the member's cafe - the cakes are incredible - and was pleasantly surprised to see that nothing has changed. It's full service now instead of self-service, but the choice and quality remain the same.

We came for the Turner exhibition (day three as we really couldn't wait to see it) and were hugely impressed. In the pre COVID-19 days, as a member, you could visit one of the exhibitions, e.g. last year's "Van Gogh and Britain" exhibition, go get a coffee, then go back in again. Timed tickets mean you can't do that any more so instead we did go back through some of the rooms before leaving. Not ideal but we are in strange times so compromises need to be made. I'm definitely going to revisit the Turner exhibition - probably in the new year. Hopefully by then we'll be in happier times.

An easy flat walk from Pimlico station, Tate Britain is a mist excellent Art Gallery and showpiece for fine pictures. The curren van Gogh collection is a good example. Rooms zre spacious and allow good viewing at all times. The Whistler Restaurant is a first class establishment to visit when coming to the Tate and the foid and service is spot on.

One of the best museums in the world dedicated to contemporary art; incredible masterpieces such as the Josef Beuys room; the hall dedicated to Louise Bourgeois in the new wing (2016).

Visited the Burne-Jones exhibition. Excellent display of this pre-Raphlite master's wide range of work from drawing and painting to tapestries and decorative items. Immensely talented and productive guy. The gallery itself has a lovely feel and super river side setting. Great range of standing items particularly on Turner. Good place to spend an afternoon and be lifted.

I disagree with who says that it s not good. There is a lot, sure. They might have relegated some paintings in 1 room as they have limited space, sure.

But the quality of the visit was perfect. Had the chance to visit the Turner Prize for free as an under 25 and then watched the rest of the museum at my own pace. I had the pleasure of joining a free talk about a painting, the Ophelia, which was really entertaining and informative.

I will definitely be back as I feel I didn t spend enough time (3 hours!!).

If you want some coffee, the cafe is good too!

The permanent gallery of Tate Britain offers the discovery of works by English artists through a chronological journey from the 14th century to the present day.
Do not miss the rooms dedicated to Turner and the works of Moore which are exceptional.
Free visit for all.

Very few famous works are displayed. Recommended for those who like William Turner. Satisfied by just looking at a few pieces of Raphael's preaching work. If you don't have time, you can pass. The cafe is not good. And the souvenir shop service is not very good.
