Even during the lock down the Tate Museums do not fail to deliver. Although you are unable to go inside at this time, this holiday season they strung lights outside the building for an exhibit that displayed the words remembering a brave new world . Stop by on a walk to see the awesome sights!

A phenomenal museum. Housed in a building with exceptional architecture, most of the great art is on display for free and there s an excellent range being displayed too. The exhibition of Frank Bowling in the summer was long overdue but well worth the wait. It s really worth visiting.

Not a fan of art. Absolutely boring, the worst place I could usually think to visit in London but my friend felt sick(alcohol/hangover), so the fact the place is free is a great result!
To that end, their toilets were lovely and clean, top marks.
Anyone else visiting with a hangover, toilets are located straight ahead, down spiral staircase, to the rear past the cafe.

This is a world class Museum and what I really like about it is that it can be nice and quiet and peaceful even so. One cool thing I've noticed here is there now have sofas that you can just relax on which is great for anyone who gets easily tired etc.

Great layout of rooms by eras/years so you are walking through time as you go from a 15th century room to 16th century to 17th and so on to modern times.
Some naked/exposed paintings and statues.
Free parking on Saturdays n Sundays on Atterbury road and nearby roads.

Good art rubbish restaurant and cafe facilities there to fleece people. Others in the non capitalist world would jump at the chance and do better at serving the millions who go there.

Arriving at Tate Britain I was pretty peckish and headed first to the Djanogly Cafe - I ordered a meal and a coffee and went to sit outside. Having forgotten cutlery I popped back into the cafe and, on return to my table, found my meal More

I love its Art collections. I visited the exhibition of the Pre-Raphaelite artist Edward Burne-Jones which was not only vast but wonderful. I also saw the retrospective exhibition of photographer Don Mccullin which again was extraordinary. Although the gallery museum was packed with people it was a very pleasant and enjoyable day.

Visiting for the first time and couldn t find any faults with the place. I was there for the Aubrey Beardsley exhibition and I was very impressed. The content, the layout, and the crowd control are done well. The facilities, such as the toilets and the shops are well managed. Will do another visit in the near future.

Tate Britain is often overshadowed by its bigger, flasher sister downriver, but it's well worth a visit in its own right. The permanent collection includes many fantastic works and some of the temporary exhibitions are fantastic. Great Members Room.

My visit to Tate Britain was Brilliant!

My visit to Tate Britain was Brilliant!

Not only was entrance for free, however, it was nice to see the younger generation taking part in activities within the museum.

More importantly, it was also nice to see the Museum being sponsored by a lot of corporates.

Keep up the good work and continue to inspire more young individuals to showcase their talent within the wonderful world of art.

You lead by example. Well done!

It's a cery likely place for an artistic people who are delighted to the art. There is really a lot to be seen. I'm cery happy that I visited the exposition of Rachel Witerhead. Was really impressive and innovative. I like whole the gallery. There was a noisy room in which you can stay and listen to a different noises. I liked it. The gallery is made very nicely. My favorite part is the entrance with the swirl stairs.

We saw the very well curated collection "Aftermath" and were so impressed and pleased with the attention to detail and the way it flowed. Many other lovely exhibitions on here and the Tate collective allows young people in for less which is fantastic!

Wonderful picture gallery which houses important works by British artists, including Turner, Constable, Moore and Blake. The Ophelia di Millais is suggestive. Museum less frequented than others, it allows a visit in full tranquility even on the most crowded days. A few steps from the museum there is the dock of the line vaporetto that leads to Greenwich

Nice historic building but rather boring and not very edgy. The exhibits and the exhibitions are nowhere near as stimulating as those in the Tate Modern, nor does Britain feel very inclusive.
This particular site is enough for one visit every few months. It s also a good pit stop if you ve got Tate membership, or if you need to take a leak indoors at the end of a long run. Just mind the elderly female snobs staring at you wearing running tights.

It's an Art gallery/museum on Millbank, in the London. Largest collection of British art in the world. You can enjoy great works of Hogarth, Millias, Whistler as well as modern and contemporary artists such Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud and Damien Hirst.
Fantastic place to visit with families and friends.

Went for the first time for a William Blake exhibition and discovered this gem! Some of my friends suggested the museum is small and has lots of modern art, but boy the classical part of it is just the thing! Not having too much time i could not get enough of it and had to come back! Some parts are truly impressive and spending some hours in one room is usually what i end up doing! An amazing museum! Also i would recommend evenings to visit as its not as crowded as around noon.
